He stood up quickly as his step mum approached him, she had neat blond hair and green eyes, seeming evil. She wore a tidy green dress to match her green eyes. And a necklace placed on her neck. With his hands behind his back his step him checked the room. She ran a finger along the bench tops and surfaces. Coming over to Cinder again she nodded.
“Cinder…” she hissed, her voice close to that of a snake, “I want you to be a waiter at the ball tonight, serving drinks to the guests. The prince has given you this… opportunity.” She snarled at the thought. Cinder couldn’t believe it. He tried to hide his smile while still showing full attention to his step mum.
“Yes ma’am,” Cinder relied. His step mum frowned.
“Find something to wear and meet us before we leave around 8:00pm,” His step mum said. She walked away leaving
Cinder. That gives me half an hour. He thought.
