Chapter 7

Linda wakes up and remembers how magical Leonardo’s transformation was, but she also remembers how embarrassing her actions were from being sleepy. She turns red and buries her face into Leonardo’s fur. 

“I finally had the courage to ask... and it was worth it.” She thought.

Leonardo wakes up from Linda rubbing her face on his side. 

Leonardo giggles and says “That kinda tickles.” 

“Oh! I’m sorry.” 

“It’s alright, good morning.” 

“Good morning to you as well.” 

Linda asks, “Do others transform the same way that you do?” 

“Hmmm... No, for some reason only my bloodline has ever transformed like that...” he smirks “Did you enjoy what you saw.” 

“Yes! It was so beautifully magical.” 

Leonardo laughs and says, “I see, I’m glad.” 

Linda smiles and lays back down on Leonardo and says, “I wanna sleep for a little more.” 

“You should, you only slept for about an hour.” 

“My! It’s only been an hour?” 

Leonardo nods and says, “I’ll wake you up once you’ve gotten enough sleep.” 

Linda smiles and says, “Thank you.” 

Leonardo goes back to sleep, but when Linda was about to fall asleep. She hears Leonardo purring, 

“He’s... Purring.” 

Linda smiled and snuggled up onto Leonardo and fell asleep to his purring. 

Later that day, Linda, Liese, and Lilli were all in the garden together having tea. 

“So~ is it true that you was with His Majesty till 11am?” Liese said while smiling. “ 

“Yeah~ please tell us more about it~” said Lilli. 

Linda blushed and said, “you make it sound like we did something nefarious... All we did was sleep, then talked a little, then went back to sleep.” 

“Man~ I guess that’s all you can do since you haven’t confessed to him yet.” Liese said.

Lilli then said, “Exactly~ you’re like, the only single one.” 

Both Liese and Linda were shocked and said, “Huh!?” 

Liese says, “When did you confess to Evon!” 

“Yea, I didn’t think you’d do it so soon.” Said Linda. 

“Well, like mother used to say, “You gotta get em’ while you have em’”. So I asked him out yesterday when I took him to his favorite place.” Linda then laughs, “You should’ve seen his face, like, he’s too adorable... I love him so much.” 

Both Linda and Liese say, “Awwww~” 

Lilli asks Liese, “So~ how’s your relationship with Elric?” 

“Hmmm... honestly... I’m the happiest ever, I really can’t ask for anything more... Eeeeee~ he makes me so happy. Not to mention the food he makes is super delicious.” 

Lilli smiles and says, “it’s like the quickest way to your heart is through your stomach.” 

Then they all laughed. “Now let’s get back to you dear big sister.” Said Liese, and Linda flinched. 

“So, like, when are you going to confess? You already know you have feelings for His Majesty. So what’s the hold up?” Lilli said. 

“Honestly... you can say that I’m being hesitant.” 

“I see, so you need some kind of push then.” Says Liese. 

“I guess, you can say that... But, enough about boy talk. How is work coming along?” 

“Changing the subject.”  Both Liese and Lilli thought. 

“Well, ever since I started working as a clerk here. I was able to meet all kinds of people, so I’m satisfied.” Says Lilli. 

“Same here, working at the bakery with Elric is a blast, I couldn’t ask for a better job.” Said Liese.

“Well, I’m glad you two, including father, have found some work that you enjoy.” Says Linda. 

Liese asks, “How’s the research going?” 

“Yea, like, have you discovered anything more?” Says Lilli. 

Then Linda says in a serious tone, “Actually, I visited the Research Room before coming here to see if we made any progress... and we have.” 

Both Liese and Lilli were shocked and Liese asked, “What did you find out?” 

Linda took a moment to answer, “That, Leonardo will turn into something for-.” 

Both Liese and Lilli gasp and Lilli says, “That’s too long.” 

Linda sadly says “I know.”

Leonardo reads the report of the new finding and is distressed, 

“For 7 years... I’ll turn into something for 7 years... if even a hair strand of sunlight hits me.” 

Leonardo sighs, “if this is connected to the prophecy... then that means... I’m the “Red Dove”... and honestly, that would make sense since Linda is the “child”..." Leonardo walks back and forth and says in a serious tone, 

“I need to tell Linda...”

The next night, Linda and Leonardo were on their usual walk. 

When Leonardo says, “I have something to tell you Linda.”

"I- is he about to confess?" Linda thought.

But, she thought wrong when Leonardo continued saying, “I think... No, I know that you’re the “child” that the prophecy stated.” 

“Really?! How did you figure that out?” 

“Well, I knew since the beginning, but it’s basically confirmed now.. since.. I might be the “Red Dove”.” 

Linda stops and thinks, “Actually, that would make sense. Especially considering how close we are... but what do we do now?” 

Leonardo blushes and smiles, “I guess we’ll have to wait and see. But for now I’ll try to stay away from coming in contact with real sunlight.”

As they were walking side by side, their hands grazed each other, then they both flinched, stopped walking, and started to stare at each other. Both of their faces turned red as they intimately stared at each other. 

“I Like her” “I Like Him” they both thought at the same time. 

Then they both say, “I Like You!” 

Both of them were surprised and happy, then they laughed at how they confessed at the same time. 

Leonardo gently takes Linda’s hands and says, “I’m truly happy, whenever I’m around you my heart is so full that it feels like it’ll burst.” 

Linda blushes and smiles, “Me too, I just keep thinking about our time together and get excited when I get ready to see you.” 

Leonardo blushes so hard that he covers his face while still holding Linda’s hands. 

Then he kisses her hands and smiles, “I Love You, My Queen” 

Linda’s face turns completely red, and she says, “I- I Love You Too!” 

They then continue their walk hand in hand.
