In front of Liu Leah’s room, Zhou Chun could hear laughter—it was Liu Leah’s voice. She knocked lightly and slowly opened the door.
“Who could make young Miss laugh so loud like she does not have any care in the world?” Zhou Chun wondered if Wang Haoran was inside the room. The current Liu Leah is madly in love with Wang Haoran after all.

It was the fifth day of Liu Leah’s hospital stay. Her concussion had greatly improved, and the wound on her head was healing rapidly, almost as if it had never occurred, prompting her discharge the next day.
As evening approached and the sun began to set, she suddenly craved Bicol Express or Kung Pao Chicken for dinner. Though these dishes didn't exist in her world, she knew equivalent recipes were available.
“Sigh”
The ever-astute Zed heard and noticed the small sigh escaping Leah’s glossy red lips. In Zed’s eyes, they resembled apples begging to be devoured.
“What’s wrong?” He asked worriedly.
"I want to eat something, so I am looking online for the recipe before dinner," Leah said, glancing at Zed before turning her head back to face her laptop. "The cook said he had some ideas for making it after I mentioned the ingredients and tastes I could remember," Leah added.
“Sigh”
Listening to Leah's continuous sighs got Zed agitated.
Leah sat beside the bed, facing an adjustable bedside table with her laptop. She had been typing on the bed or sitting in the chair for the last few days. Zed sat next to her on a couch against a window wall. The brightness outside contrasted with and hid his current expression.
Noticing how tense her shoulders were, he got up. "Would you mind if I helped relax your shoulders?" he asked.
Leah was already accustomed to Zed’s presence. He never left her side from the moment she opened her eyes in the morning until she closed them to sleep. “I don’t. Go ahead,” she agreed, nodding without looking at the man who was coming closer to her. He reached her back in just two steps.
“Tie my hair into a bun before you start,” she added.
Zed suddenly found himself in a dilemma. He had no hair ties, so he made a mental note to buy a bunch later. With a frown, he looked around and saw a purple tourniquet. He planned to use this to tie Leah’s hair.
He was now faced with his second dilemma. Zed did not know how to tie hair into a bun. He looked at Leah momentarily, then noticed that she wasn't paying attention to him. Quickly, he checked his phone for instructions.
It took him three minutes to browse, and then he put his phone away.
Faced with Leah’s silky black hair reaching her shoulder blades, Zed seemed about to embark on a journey to face his greatest nemesis. He aimed for a messy bun, which was simple and did not need to be perfect.
With the look of a fresh surgeon about to perform his first solo operation, he grabbed a bunch of hair upwards. He brushed them using his fingers as he gulped. Following the diagram and explanations online, he proceeded slowly but accurately, and then a messy hair bun was done in a few minutes.
Unknown to him, it took him ten minutes to do everything, from checking his phone to holding Leah’s hair. Because of this, Leah noticed him taking too long. She looked at him questioningly and furrowed her eyebrows.
Gazing into Leah’s eyes, which seemed to ask, “What the hell is taking so long?”, he panicked and jabbered, as if reciting a brief report after completing a mission toward his superiors.
Learning about why Zed took so long to massage her shoulders, she burst into laughter.
“Wahahahahahahaha!”
Her laughter echoed loudly, tears forming in her eyes. Leah looked like the goddess of joy, and Zed didn't know if he should feel embarrassed or happy.
He blushed, his skin turning red from the tip of his ears to the back of his neck.
After brushing away her tears, Leah looked at Zed again with an amused expression.
“Everything is red except his face. If his face turns red he would look like a sad red panda,” Leah thought and laughed again.
“Wahahahahahahaha!”
…..
Zhou Chun attempted to enter silently after knocking lightly. She thought her unannounced entrance had gone unnoticed by the two inside. Unbeknownst to her, they knew her presence but chose to ignore her. They both understood that outside guards would never allow anyone to enter without permission.
Upon opening the door enough to see the whole room, she saw a tall, well-built guy standing with a handsome face, though his expression seemed stoic at first glance. However, upon closer inspection, Zhou Chun noticed a hint of embarrassment in his demeanor. The man looked thoughtfully at the woman sitting before him, unsure what to do next.
The woman sitting in front of the man had her back against him, her hair in a messy bun, laughing aloud with her eyes closed in crescents. Her white, pearly teeth were visible as she hugged her stomach, leaning forward in mirth.
"What is this scene I am looking at?" Zhou Chun asked herself quietly. "Am I in the right room?" she muttered.
Waking up from her bewilderment, she turned around and closed the door gently, afraid of disturbing the carefree atmosphere in the room. Finding a chair beside the door, she settled into it and waited patiently for the two inside to notice her presence.
Zhou Chun looked at Liu Leah at that moment and was shocked. This Liu Leah seemed familiar—the same Liu Leah she knew from two months ago.
“Your future daughter would love to ask you for a hair-dressing session every morning,” Leah suddenly said jokingly between laughter.
When Zed heard the word "daughter," he couldn't help but imagine holding a little girl who looked just like Leah, and he subconsciously smiled.
“When I tie her hair in a bun, she will look like you. Our daughter will look lovely,” Zed blurted out, his heart feeling warm at the thought.
Both women in the room stopped what they were doing or thinking and looked at Zed, trying to process what he had just said.
Leah stopped laughing and focused on the genuine smile on Zed’s face and his hopeful eyes. She smiled back and said, “Our daughter, who would look like you, would be even more lovely.”
After Leah spoke, Zed was flabbergasted. Even Zhou Chun dropped her jaw and alternately looked at her young miss and the guy she knew as the head of Liu Leah’s security detail.

Meanwhile, in another hospital...
Only Li Mei and the hospital staff were in Li Mei's hospital room. The doctor had just finished examining Li Mei’s abdomen via ultrasound to check the health of the fetus. After completing all necessary procedures, the nurse allowed Wang Haoran and others to enter the room, while some staff moved the portable machines back.
Standing in front of everyone, eager to hear the results of her tests, the doctor uttered, “Congratulations to both of you. It appears that you are expecting twins. They are healthy and stable right now, but to be sure, we will need to check again in the next few days.”
