“I once told a man ‘This world is too cruel for us to show it any mercy.'-”
“What is the point of giving an anecdote now of all times?! Shut up and DIE!-” The Being dashed in the blink of an eye and appeared before the Man, sword raised, ready to strike. But the Man's brain moved faster. In an instant he conjured a fiery jade magic circle beneath himself and the Tower glowed purple. A collection of voices hummed from within, calling out from depths no one dared fathom. The voices were filled with the very same yearning the Godsbane hid behind their beastly eyes. Just as the Being brought down his sword, the man reached up and flicked the sword, not only reflecting all the power of the attack back at the Being, but multiplying the power tenfold. The Being's body was instantly broken and twisted as he was propelled backwards. One of the other Beings caught him, but sustained several broken bones from the force of impact. The Wolfish Being looked at the Man with a newfound bewildered rage that he never knew possible. For the first time in billions of years, his pride was just scarred. He never thought anyone could possibly survive any of his attacks, yet before him was a mere mortal who repelled his own attack against him with a magic he thought only his own kind could use.
The man slowly grinned as the cold indifferent gaze was replaced with that of haughty contempt. The Being was taken aback by the sudden change in character. Was that calm demeanor just an act? Was the man trying to give them the roundabout, trying to take the easiest option before showing his true nature?
“The point is that the man died like a pig doing the same predictable shit you just did. Your prideful ignorance reminded me of him before I castrated him. Shrill swine like him make the sweetest squeals." The Man's eyes turned dark and he leered with a taunting smile at the Being before him. The look on the man's face had set off several emotions the Being hadn't felt in so long. The man was intentionally trying to aggravate him. The Seraph to the man's right gave the Being a sympathetic look and turned her head away in shame. Her pity was like a cigarette burn on the Being's pride, and the coup de grâce that made him truly lose it was when the Man stretched his arm out to pull back his sleeve and reveal the back of his hand, showing a glowing jade mark of a phoenix. The Being knew exactly what that mark meant. This Man was the next Arbiter. The Being's face turned almost blood red as his vision darkened from a rage that boiled across his now burning skin. He was going to kill this man.
"The Tower has played all seven of you for fools. Its indomitable existence, its seemingly candid lies, its unending genocide; they are all testament that cruelty is the only force in existence that is absolute, able to thwart the works of meager gods. Yet despite myself, I thought I'd spare you of it, but it's clear that contradicting my own virtues will get me nowhere. I want the same thing you do. I want to end all of this, but circumstances have made me realize that there is only one path to follow if I am to spare my family an eternity of agony..." The man raised his hand half way up to snap his fingers. The Demon and Angel both instantly knew what he was planning, and they both tried raising their weapons to strike down their comrade. They couldn't let the Man do this in good conscience, not when it is a sin so heinous it rivaled that of r***. "To save the ones I love, I will become a monster."
The man snapped his fingers. The dragon's eyes glowed red as crimson and black lightning surged throughout its entire body. The Tower trembled and glowed brighter as the dragon spoke one word.
"LEAVE!!!" His voice shattered the sky across all of Eden and its force created a dip in the Dark Seas, pushing out all the worlds outwards. The Demon and Angel were both knocked back, but the Man casted a spell that pulled the both of them back towards him. He gave them a warning look, one that clearly said 'Stay out of my way or else.'
The Seven Beings all felt their Wills twisting, breaking under the weight of the Dragon's. His Will was unlike anything they've ever witnessed. It was powerful beyond reckoning, bordering the lines of Infinity. The Seven Beings felt like they were being strangled, the deepest and most vital part of their very beings were being touched and crushed in ways no one should ever feel. It was disgusting, humiliating, and violating. Never in their lives have they felt so degraded, wishing death would claim them before their minds snapped from this heinous act of depravity.
"Remember this pain, this shame and degradation." The Man said, leering at the Seven Beings without the slightest hint of regret or sympathy. "Remember that I tried to be merciful, and that I will never try to show you mercy ever again. Do not EVER try to take my Salvation from me again."
His words seethed with malice, his determination to protect his family going beyond what any villain would dare attempt. This Man was someone who would leave nothing but death and destruction in his path if it meant he could make Eternity worth living for his family. No one else mattered, not in the slightest. This truth was plain to see and it horrified the Seven Beings. Before them was now another monster as violent and dangerous as the Tower, but perhaps he was worse. They scurried past the edge of Eden and vanished into the nothingness beyond. Even the Being holding the Wolf-like Being scurried away, screaming in fear and agony. However the Wolf-like Being remained. His body healed as he turned back to watch his fleeing companions, then he turned his sights back upon the dragon and horned woman. He glared at them, wanting more than anything to kill them, but he too felt the effects of the command. He couldn't resist it for long. He turned to the man. The man met his gaze, chuckling with an impressed look on his face.
"What kind of Arbiter would be so depraved as to bend the will of others? What makes you think you can defeat the Tower just be devolving into a devil who's depravity runs deeper than the Tower's roots?" The Being uttered, radiating his full power. Darkness fell upon all of Eden, over encompassing the Man's flames as proof that by way of pure strength, the man was outmatched. The Being created nothing but a black void where only he, the four abominations, and Tower were visible. He raised his hand and produced a dark seed from his flesh. He has already devised a plan to destroy these freaks. He refuses to be defeated by this arrogant bastard. "I've tried to destroy it for billions of years, but it's existence is absolute! You may be the next Arbiter, but you are still a mortal! Your race of mutts may wield the same magic I do, but the Tower's strength is beyond that of gods! You are nothing in the wake of forces whose’ hatred and fear of death has wrought an Eternity of suffering, all so they could postpone their own inevitable end! I won't play along with this madness any longer! I will kill the Race of Sinners, annihilate them before they can taste the fruits of their treachery! But before that, I'll kill your Dragon and Demon bastards and-"
"If you lay a finger on either of them, I will have you r****." The Man growled. The Being paled from the heinous threat. He would never believe such a threat, but the knowing look on the Man's face... He scowled at the Being, his eyes wide and filled with a haughty bloodlust that promised his unrelenting fury. He meant every word, like he actually had the means to do it. No. He did have the means to do it. This Man wasn't like any of the Arbiters that came before him. For an eternity, heroes were chosen to fill this role. But this man was no hero.
He was a monster.
The Being ran out of time. With his last bit of Willpower, he tossed the seed into the Dark Sea and was forced to retreat into the nothingness with his companions. The Man aimed a finger at the seed, shooting a magical probe onto it before it vanished into the Dark Sea. The darkness that had engulfed Eden had faded and given way to the light brought forth by the Man.
"Now then." The Man said, looking upon Eden with a dark calculating gaze. He made a toothy grin. "The second phase begins. From this moment forward, we are your Emperors, the Sovereign Heirs, the ones who will inherit what the false gods sought to covet. This universe is ours."

From that moment on, Eden was under the rule of godlike mortals, the Heir Race, the first known race of demigods.
The Man gathered the dispersed pieces of the destroyed star and combined it with a fragment of his soul to create a tree whose size encompassed nearly the entire Tower. The Tree's leaves lit up all corners of Eden and its roots cleansed the majority of the Tower's corruption, and thus the Man garnered himself the name of the Sovereign Creator. The Seraph traversed the worlds of Eden in the blink of an eye to gather the wounded and mentally scarred Kindred to be healed of all wounds and trauma by the Creator, earning her the name of the Sovereign Savior. The Demon gathered the memories and relics of the Kindred who were lost so that they will never be forgotten, and was named the Sovereign Collector in thanks. The dragon tore apart the fabrics in reality that made up the walls of Eden and replaced them with an impenetrable barrier, then transformed into a man with horns protruding from the sides of his head and a large scaled tail trailing behind him, he was called the Sovereign Destroyer by order of the Creator. The Seven Beings were called The Forsaken. The area affected by the Tower's corruption was quarantined and the worlds surrounding it were safely relocated by the Sovereign Heirs, and the quarantined area was proclaimed the Sanctuary. There, the Sovereign Heirs made their home, proving to be highly resistant against the Tower's rancor.
Together, the Sovereign Heirs founded the Sovereign Empire. They waged war against all of Eden's old Kindred rulers as a four person army, slaughtering any Kindred leadership that wouldn't kneel before them, but spared the rest of the Kindred regardless of allegiance. When every world was under their reign, they introduced Magic and Technology to the Kindred, giving them the means to greatly improve their lives. The Sovereign Heirs were far more wise and accepting than any Kindred thought possible, making the Empire a place all of pure nature could prosper as equals. Soon, the Kindred learned to submit to the Sovereign Heirs and be grateful for the gifts they gave the Kindred. Life became surprisingly simple and happy, and the Kindred soon became eager to serve the Sovereign Heirs. The ones who gained the favor of the Sovereign Heirs by proving their worth were turned into Archons, immortal Kindred who gave up immortality of the soul for that of flesh. They no longer aged and became stronger, but their souls would cease to exist if the Archon died.
The Creator, Savior, and Collector each ruled as Emperors equal in power over the Empire, while the Destroyer, though also considered an Emperor, focused solely on maintaining the barrier to keep out the Forsaken. However, the Creator stood as the King of their own race, holding complete control over their internal affairs. He made sure that the Sovereign Heirs were to be feared as much as they were respected to prevent the Kindred and Archons from causing corruption in the Empire.
The Sovereign Heirs soon produced offspring that strengthened their rule over the Kindred. The offspring were labeled Lessor Heirs–weaker than their forebears–but they were kind and caring to the Kindred, which came as a shock to many Kindred due to the Creator being openly known as a borderline psychopath.
The Kindred Races rejoiced in their prosperity under the reign of the Sovereign Hiers for more than a million years. The Heirs were strict, but they ruled solely for the peace, freedom, and happiness of the Kindred. The Sovereign Heirs were truly the ideal leaders, devoid of selfish desires.
Thanks to them, Kindred were safe and happy...
Until Humanity appeared.
