"Rhia, hide! They're here!" Lesley exclaimed, as Rhia's eyes flew open. She quickly ran to the bathroom, her heart racing. "How did they know?" Lesley wondered, realizing the bodyguard must have suspected her when Rhia went missing. She grabbed her bathrobe and opened the bathroom door, wetting her hair. Rhia stared at her with a questioning gaze. "Just stay here, no matter what," Lesley instructed, wearing the bathrobe. She heard the doorbell and screamed, "Grandma, I'm coming!" She opened the door to find Mrs. Kimberly. "Grandma... oh, I thought you were my grandmother. Hello, Mrs. Kimberly." Mrs. Kimberly turned to the bodyguard. "I thought you said she was here." Her voice was cold. "Yes... let's check inside; she..." "Oh, you were the bodyguard I met today about my key. As you can see, I was having a bath. Grandma would be here any minute," Rhia said, looking outside for her imaginary grandma. "I am sorry, ma'am; I thought she was here," the bodyguard said with a bow. "You're fired!" Mrs. Kimberly screamed and stormed out. Lesley closed the door, smiling at her improved acting skills.
Lesley had always dreamed of becoming an actress, but her mother wanted her to be a journalist, as it was her mother's dream for her. She entered the bathroom, finding Rhia sleeping peacefully on the toilet seat. She shook her head and carried Rhia to the bed. It was already morning, and Lesley laughed at how she had fooled them. She pitied the bodyguard, who was just doing his job. She couldn't sleep, so she decided to make coffee and watch TV. After searching for a long time, she finally found an anime to watch. She turned to see Rhia still sleeping. "She must be really tired," Lesley thought, as the remote control fell to the floor. She was too lazy to use her hands, so she decided to use her leg to push the remote to her hand. She almost succeeded but accidentally pressed a button, bringing up the news channel. Her body refused to move as she saw the headline: "MISSING LADY RHIA KIMBERLY." Her eyes widened, and she felt a lump in her throat. "Breaking news: Rhia Kimberly missing; the police are investigating. Her parents promised a billion dollars and one request to anyone who finds her. We'll meet again in ten minutes. I'm Linda Green, and this is the News on NNH." Lesley grabbed the remote and switched it off, her heart pounding loudly. What should she do now? They were not safe. She couldn't believe Rhia's parents were this dramatic. She stood up to see Rhia's pale face. "You're awake; we need to do something," Lesley said, walking to her closet and grabbing a green wig, a big round glass, a baggy shirt with "ANIME 4 LIFE" written on it, and a long skirt. "What if I just get married to him?" Rhia whispered, feeling guilty. "Don't say that now; go freshen up, then wear this," Lesley instructed. Rhia weakly smiled and entered the bathroom. After washing up, she dressed in the disguise Lesley provided. Lesley gave her coffee and said, "Let's go." They entered the elevator, but Lesley pressed the wrong button, and they ended up in the VVIP rooms. "What bad luck," Rhia said, as Lesley dragged her out of the elevator. "Let's use the stairs; morning exercise," Lesley said with a smile. A door opened beside them, and Lesley pushed Rhia inside. Rhia was surprised as things happened fast; she was about to take a step when her head hit something hard. "Ouch," she winced in pain, rubbing her forehead. She raised her head to see a breathtaking figure in front of her. His silky black hair was neatly swept back, revealing beautiful half-shot black eyes that could see through her innermost soul. He had a high nose, natural pink thin lips, a sharp jawline, and a well-shaped Adam's apple. He looked like the god of perfection, and all she could do was stare. He finally cleared his throat, and Rhia snapped out of it."
"I'm so sorry," she managed to say.
"Rhia Kimberly," he said in a deep, silky voice. Rhia stiffened. "How did he know my name? Maybe he watched the news," she thought. "Please don't tell anybody, I beg you," she clasped her hands together.
The extremely tall figure in front of her stared at her with a raised brow. "Why should I listen to you?" he said with a smirk.
"I know you've already watched the news. Please, I don't want to get married to that man. What if he's ruthless, heartless, and ugly?" she said, whispering the last part, but he heard it. A dry laugh echoed through the room.
Rhia stared at him, her eyes flashing with anger. "What's funny?" she asked.
He turned, sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed, and rested his face on his palm. He gazed at her with an amused expression; she looked angry, serious, and not joking.
"What if I told you I'm your husband-to-be, Rhia Kimberly?" he said.
An angry figure barged in it was her mother Mrs Kimberly. Rhia was immediately pulled harshly by her mother.
"What are you doing here in the middle of the night, you need to rest you have to look good for your wedding tomorrow" Mrs Kimberly said as she closed the window.
Rhia smiled bitterly she could not believe her parents planned all this because of thier selfish needs her eyes watered she stared at her mother.
