UNKNOWN'S POV
I found myself in a large cave. As I entered, the first thing I noticed was a bamboo cell.
Inside, there was a woman imprisoned. I approached her and sat down to get a better look. She had her back turned to me, so I shook the cell to get her attention.
"I know you're awake," I said.
She didn't respond. I scoffed.
"How's your day? Are you bored staying here?" I asked with a mocking smile.
She remained silent and gave me a sharp look. Anger was evident on her face.
I laughed. "Now, now. Don't glare at me like that. Don't forget that you did this to yourself," I said.
"Did you come here just to annoy me? Let me go!" she shouted. I could see the fury burning in her eyes.
I chuckled. "Free? You? You'll only repeat your mistake if I set you free, and remember, Rule #10 is 'Don't free the prisoners within 2 weeks.' It has only been a week, so there's still one week left," I explained.
She gritted her teeth as she looked at me.
"I HATE YOU MOTHERFVCKER! YOU'RE A DEVIL!!" she burst out.
"Oh, that hurts, babe," I said, pretending to clutch my chest, and then burst into laughter.
I stood up from my seat as my feet were getting numb. "I'll go now. I'll send you some food," I said with a smile and turned to leave when something crossed my mind.
"Oh! I almost forgot this," I approached her again and slid my hand inside, pulling her head towards me.
"I. LOVE YOU. I hope that you enjoy staying here. Can't wait for you to be free, babe," I said, kissing her forehead lightly, just a brush.
After that, I let her go, but before leaving, I left her with a word that made her pause.
"By the way, we have a new comrade. And it's a girl," I informed her with a grin and walked out of the cave.
ZENDAYAH SHANE'S POV
I was sitting on a log, waiting for Asura, who had just entered a tent. He said he was going to get something to show me. I waited for a few minutes until he emerged from the tent and handed me a scroll.
"That's the Rules & Regulations here. Please read it," he said curtly.
Without hesitation, I accepted it and started reading its contents.
RULES & REGULATIONS
Rule #1: Don't call the leader by his name. You must call him by his nickname.
(ps. The leader's name is Newt/N)
Rule #2: If you leave the camp without the leader's permission, you will be punished.
Rule #3: Don't interfere with the leader's business.
Rule #4: Don't be lazy and always be active. Do the tasks assigned to you by the leader.
Rule #5: Don't break the Rules & Regulations. If you break the rules, you'll be imprisoned for 2 weeks.
Rule #6: Always participate in every celebration. If not, you will receive punishment.
Rule #7: Don't enter the leader's tent, except if you have important business with him, and he gives you permission.
Rule #8: Don't steal food from the table after mealtime. You'll be spanked as punishment.
Rule #9: Don't leave the island without the leader's permission.
Rule #10: JOIN THE GAMES. If not, you'll be imprisoned for 4 weeks.
Rule #11 (The Last Rule): Don't betray the leader, or you'll be killed.
I was left speechless after reading the rules and regulations. I mean, seriously? Getting spanked as punishment?
What now? I'm always hungry, and now this? I swallowed hard.
"Done reading?" Asura asked who was next to me.
I nodded and handed the scroll back to him.
"Um... Asura?" I called out to him.
I glanced at him. "W-won't rule #8 change anymore?" I hesitantly asked him.
He shook his head. "Of course not. It's written on the scroll, and it won't change," he replied coldly. After that, she stood up and went back into the tent. She came out again and said, "Your tent is ready. I'll leave you now," and then he left me.
Wow, seriously? I sat on the log with a sour expression. I really needed to get close to their so-called 'Lost Girls' because I didn't want to be lonely!
I glanced at the men. They were sitting at the table, laughing and talking, when someone shouted, "We're back, boys!" It was the women, clearly freshly bathed.
There were six of them. They must be the 'Lost girls,' right? But why were there only six of them? Where was the seventh?
The men approached them. "Glad you're back! We've been waiting for you," one of them said.
"Yeah," another replied.
"How was your bath in the river? I wish you had taken us with you," said one of the women. They each answered one by one. The women just smiled at them until their attention turned to me.
"Who's she?" I heard them ask.
Asura answered, "She's our new comrade."
Their eyes widened as they looked at me.
"Really?!" they exclaimed in unison. I was surprised as they ran towards me.
"Oh my gosh! Welcome! You're new here," said the girl with green hair. She was the first one to approach me.
I awkwardly nodded. "What's your name?" she asked.
"Zendayah Shane. Just call me Zen," I replied. They smiled at me.
"Welcome, Zen! I'm Sofia. This is Azalea next to me, and Lorie is next to Azalea. Crystal is next to Lorie, and Serra and Aira are here too," she introduced them to me.
I smiled at them.
"Where's the seventh one? They told me there were seven of you," I asked curiously.
Azalea smiled. "Olivia's busy. She's doing something, so she's not here right now. But you'll get to know her when she's done with her task."
"Yup! She'll be happy to meet you because we have a new 'lost girl.' Yes!! We're now eight!" they squealed.
I couldn't help but smile.
"By the way, Zen?" Serra called.
I looked at her. "What's up?"
"Did you meet the leader?" she asked.
I was about to answer when someone spoke from behind Sofia.
"Actually, I was the one who recruited her," a familiar voice said.
We all turned to look at the speaker, and it was none other than New---N. He had a grin on his face as he looked at me.
Their eyes widened, and they smiled at the speaker.
"N!" they all called out to New---N.
"Hi, girls. Welcome back. How was your bath?" he asked, stepping closer to where we were.
"It was fine. By the way, you didn't tell us that there was someone new," Lorie pouted.
"Yeah. You should have come to the river and told us," Crystal added.
"Ah, you still haven't gotten used to N! Remember how he was when Serra was new?" Aira teased.
"Correct, Aira!" Serra said with a laugh.
I watched them silently as they chatted. They had broad smiles while talking to Newt/N.
Suddenly, a wave of sadness washed over me as I remembered my friends. I missed Cindy, Sheena, and Ellaine. I wondered how they were doing... Did they miss me?
After that, I quietly walked away from them and entered the dark forest.
