Dirt and water splashed onto my robes, turning the white into a muddy brown. The bucket near my leg tipped over, causing the medicinal herbs inside to tumble out onto the ground. Raising my head I met the eyes of the few disciples jeering above me.
“Even for a lower class disciple this is too much!” Exclaimed a disciple with a look of contempt and malice sewn upon his face. “I didn’t realize our Qingmen sect had fallen so much to even accept trash?” The other two nodded in agreement and trampled upon the plants and herbs growing in the field. Sighing, I took my sleeve and wiped the dirt and mud off of the fallen plants, fixing them back and placing the remaining ones back into the bucket. Though before i could finish, a crushing pain washed over me as the lead disciple stepped on my foot.
“What do you think you're doing ah? Trash like you isn’t even fit to pick the herbs! You’d probably lower their value just from your touch.” He grinned maliciously and proudly causing the two behind him to laugh as if on cue. Lowering my head I sighed once more and lowered my gaze unto the ground.
Ah! Oh woe is me? Is that what you want me to say?? Well screw your uncle! Such a typical bullying scene, do you want me to laugh? Zheng ai! How much longer do I have to put up with these hooligans?
[Oh honorable host~ Host only has to follow out this task until the objective is met or the host is dead! Was Zheng ai helpful?~ (>w<)]
…
Very helpful.
Lei Qiu: cries tears of blood
Accepting my fate I looked back up to these kids looking stupidly down at me. In the next second, something happened that I couldn’t predict. The second I looked at them, their faces paled in something comparable to fear. The lead boy began stuttering and even backed up a step.
“W-who do you think you are looking at me like that?!” He raised his foot to kick me but stopped halfway and crossed his arms instead. “Don’t you know who I am?? And you dare to treat me like this?!”
“...I don’t know who you are. Should I?” I said, saying the first words I had spoken to them.
The boys stood there flabbergasted, in shock. First was shock then came a second emotion and a third. Anger and what seemed like embarrassment. Turning red, the boy in front placed one hand over his chest in a self-important way.
“I am Long Guowei, Grand son of Elder Long! My grandfather could get you kicked out of this sect!” Puffing his face up in pride he clearly thought that he had won. After all, who would dare oppose him, he who could easily make another person's life bad just with a word.
“AH?”
I was not amused. Smiling as hard as I could, I placed a hand on top of Long Guowei’s head.
“I apologize for my impertinence! I hadn’t realized that Xiao Guowei was such an important person!” Patting him on the head I thought aloud, “Xiao Guowei? Xiao Guo? Xiao Weiwei?” I snickered under my breath. Little Weiwei. Hehe.
Slapping my hand away, his face turned livid and red. “W-what do you think you’re doing?! Y-You!” In a huff he turned on his heel “I can’t stand talking to trash like you!”
Seeing that the three had gone, I returned to my duty of picking herbs and frowned slightly.
If only those three weren’t such bad apples…they might actually have a future ah! In the original novel-
In the original novel the three bullies met a tragic fate at the hands of Bai Huiliang. After the death of Luo Fang, Bai Huiliang’s first friend in the sect and first love, the young villain went berserk. He spent three days taking care of the disciples. On the first day he broke each and every one of their limbs. On the second day he beat them until the three were unrecognizable from a piece of meat. And on the third day, well they finally had the sweet release of death.
Chills went down my spine as I recounted this scene. The writing had been impeccable, astounding even. The author, “Penguin days, ah!” received praise upon praise for his morbid brutal portrayal of justice. In fact back then I was one of the loudest voices, screaming my love of the author to places even the heavens could hear. But now…
I can’t let Xiao Bai meet this fate! I can’t. This junior of mine is such a sweet and innocent boy, I want, no NEED to do everything in my power to preserve that! I could honestly care less about how those three end up. My Huiliang is 1,000 times better!
I couldn’t let those bullies corrupt Bai Huiliang and taint his hands with their blood. He was bound to kill someone eventually, after all that's just how this world works. But at the very least it wouldn’t be them.
Not for my sake
