Adelmo came out of the back room, “Hey Lana, I didn’t realize you were in. That was my grandfather on the phone.”

“Oh really! I am so glad you were finally able to get a hold of him. Did you get any new information about everything you were trying to figure out?” 

Adelmo glanced at the clock and was shocked it was almost lunchtime. Having no idea he was on the phone that long.

 “Yes! As a matter of fact, I was able to find out some new information, but since it’s almost lunchtime, let's have lunch together and discuss it. What do you say?”

“What about the store?”

“It’s OK, we can close it down for lunch. Just put a sign out.

We will be back at 1:00 p m.

 I feel we need to talk about what is going on.”

With a smile on her face, “Well alright then, we can go into further details about what you found out during lunch.”

They both continue working around the shop trying to get some extra stuff done before lunch. Lana put together a sign, so when they took off, everyone would know. Adelmo finished up the paper work he is currently sorting through.

An hour has passed, and the shop starts to die down, “Well Lana, this is as good a time as any to go get some lunch, ready to get going?”

“Yeah, we can get going. Let me adjust the time on the sign I made.”

Lana changed the time to 1:30 p m, printed it off. She then grabbed her purse and they both walked out of the shop and locked it up. Lana puts a sign-up she made. Closing down the shop had never happened before, but he wanted to chat with her about the things that were going on.

They take one car to the restaurant. Adelmo holds the door open to the restaurant and lets Lana walk in first. The same waitress from yesterday was there again.

She spoke to Adelmo, “Nice to see you again.”

With a concerned tone in his voice, “Thanks, you too, how are you holding up?”

“I am doing the best I can. Anyway, is it just you two today?”

“Yes, thank you.”

The waitress grabbed the menu, “Follow me.”

Then she walked them to their table, “Would you both like anything to drink?”

They both reply, “Water will be fine, thank you.”

They look at each other and smile after finishing speaking.

The waitress went off, grabs the water and comes back.

They both said thank you, as Adelmo grabbed for his water, he slightly brushed the waitress’s hand and fell into a brief trance. He sees a guy being drugged off by a pack of werewolves. Then he suddenly snaps out of the trance.

Adelmo had a look on his face like he had seen a ghost.

The waitress saw the look on his face, “Is everything OK?”

“How would I explain that?” He thought to himself.

“Yeah, everything is fine.” Lying about what he just saw.

“OK, do you both know what you wanted?

It took Adelmo a second to respond, “I will have the All American burger with cheddar cheese and fries.”

The waitress looks over at Lana, “And what would you like?”

“I would like a southwestern salad.”

“Alright, well, I will be right back with your order,” and walked off. 

“Adelmo, are you alright?”

“Yes and no.”

“What do you mean?”

“I just fell into one of my trances, but I think I know what happened to her boyfriend.”

“What? What do you mean?”

“In my trance. He was, well, I am not sure how I would ever be able to mention something as crazy sounding as this to her, but he was being drugged off by a pack of werewolves to be converted into one of them.”

“Are you sure it was him? Has your vision ever been wrong?”

“Well, since I started having them they haven’t, but I guess anything is possible. My grandfather was telling me that there is a large disturbance over in Germany, more than everyone realized.”

“So did you ask about why your senses were never triggered?”

The waitress walks up with their food, interrupting their conversation, “I hope you enjoy your food and if there is anything else you need, just let me know.”

Then she walked off to help others in the restaurant.

Adelmo continued with what he was about to say, “Yes, it has to do with what we saw at the theater last night. That is really going to happen and soon. This has happened before and with knowing this, we know that this happens so quickly that it won’t allow our senses to warn us about what is about to happen. The vampires and werewolves, on the other hand, can sense this before it happens. That is why they start snatching up their kind as quickly as possible and turning them before this happens. They are trying to avoid these things to harm or kill them off. If this does happen, they will have a harder time expanding their kind.”

“Interesting, well did you find any information about this girl calling?”

“Well, my grandfather had no idea who this person was, but I did have an uncle. He went on a mission alone and never came back. He assumed he had died, but never thought that there was a chance that he was just trying to leave his destiny behind him.”

“Yeah, I guess that could be what happened, but now that you mention it. When she was warning you about your grandfather, she didn’t say it was YOUR grandfather. She said OUR grandfather, why didn’t I catch this before?”

Before they knew it, the food was finished, the time had passed, and they figured they should probably get back to the store.

“Lana, I know we didn’t get a chance to finish our conversation, but how about you come over to my place after work, and we can talk some more?”

Lana’s face brightens up, “Yes, I would love to.”

They get up from the table, walk over to the register to pay the check and head back to the shop to finish off their day.
