On a day when anxiety was particularly severe, I asked my freinds for sketch prompts. One of them suggested a Modern AU for Mirym! I sketched it out, and here's the result! Of course I've considered them in our world before, so here's a few points I came up with:

- people didn't know Corym was queer at all, until well, surprise dorks, he's always been

- Milo was diagnosed with autism at like... 4. True also for main story but of course, there no diagnosis as it wasn't something labeled.

- le sigh, Milo'd be a hipster.  A Physics Hipster who'd rather program than work in a lab...

- People don't 'get them' together, so generally subtle about their relationship, but they are not closeted.

- Corym is a music/theatre kid, but studies something social? Like either art history or like... psychology.

- both have music on as often as possible - Corym'll listen to litterally anything, Milo prefers instrumental music. Likes video game soundtracks/film OSTs, but not from playing the games himself, from watching Corym play them and enjoying the music.

- They have a cat. An orange tabby cat they adopted once they found her as an abandoned kitten.

- Of course they live together, they moved in together rather quickly, and own a record player and a few instruments. Their house is immaculate.
