"Day, please listen!" Galilea tried to reach out to the other girl. "The Curse of Darkness is too strong! You're going to corrupt yourself!"
"No!" Day grabbed her crystal ball, making her fellow goddes yelp as she was picked up. "With the curse, I will be able to protect you, my sweet Night. I will... and you won't do anything about it!"
"I will, Day!" Galilea hissed. "And I will keep trying until I stop you from doing this to yourself!"
"Oh, don't be so- GAH!" Day screeched at the arrow that flung to her head. She turned to see Jackran holding his bow and arrow and Bryan holding out his two katanas as they made their way towards them. "YOU!"
"Surprised?" Jackran chuckled.
"Your reign of terror ends here and now, Goddess Day!" Bryan pointed the blade at the goddess. "Let go of Galilea and surrender yourself! Now!"
"NEVER!" Day's eyes glowed fiery red before turning the crystal ball into a gem for a crystal necklace. Her form mixed with the corrupting black vines on her skin and dress as she summoned her sword into existence.
"I'll get Galilea," Jackran told the other, heading to the front. "You take down Goddess Day,"
"Sounds like a plan," Bryan grinned with a nod before jumping to charge, a gleam from the moon reflecting on the blades.
Day held out her sword and deflected the boy's blades. "You cannot defeat me that easily, Bryan!"
"Of course he can't!" Jackran took out a couple of arrows. "That's why I'm here! His other half! The moon to his sun! That's my purpose!" He shot the arrows at the corrupted goddess.
Some of the arrows were deflected easily while others were burnt by the goddess's now dark fire. Day hissed, trying to balance her attention between deflecting Bryan's attacks and Jackran's. Bryan jumped and flipped back when he was thrown off the temple, and Jackran used his shadow to hide in before his own arrows could take his life.
After a couple of shots, Jackran finally got an arrow at the necklace. The chain was cut, and the crystal ball fell onto the temple roof. "NIGHT!" Day tried to grab it, but Jackran managed to kick it away before she could. "ARGH! YOU IMBECILE!"
"Great job, Jack!" Bryan laughed.
Jackran snorted and leapt out of the way as Day's hair began to flicker around like wild snakes. Her eyes gleamed dangerously, and her hands sharpened to claws. Her smile tightened and gritted, eye twitching as she straightened herself up.
"You will regret that."
She grabbed Jackran before he could escape. The boy hissed and tried to shoot, but his bow and arrow fell out of his hands, reverting it's shape back into the half-moon medallion. Bryan gasped.
"JACKRAN!"
"Don't mind me!" Jackran coughed, feeling the goddess's claws sinking into his skin. "Kill her!"
Day began to laugh, her smile large as she stood. "Oh, Bryan. You're still trying to play hero, hm?"
"Let him go!" Bryan gritted his teeth. "Your fight's with me!"
"Oh, that's where you're wrong." Day snickered. "My fight is with you both. Your prophecy is to stop and destroy the curse. I have wielded it, so now..." Her eyes slowly turned ebony black. "I AM THE CURSE!"
Her wicked laugh echoed through the forest, and Bryan watched in horror as the dark vines spread more, turning her skin into a darker shade of orange. Her dress morphed, slowly shifting into new clothing while tearing the old fabric apart. A crown of black vines appeared on her hair, a ruby shimmering as it's gem.
"Ah~ Much better!" Day stomped a sharp heel onto the temple's roof, knocking Bryan off.
"Bryan!" Jackran hissed and squirmed in her hold. "Let me GO!"
Day held him close to her face, a smirk forming on her face. "Such a squirmy little pest, are you? Well... I'll have to fix that!" She tightened her grip, and Jackran shrieked, feeling the pain weigh down on his body.
"NO!" Bryan forced himself up, eyes gleaming with his weapons. "Let Jackran go, Goddess Day!"
"Perhaps I will," Day turned to him, neck craking. "But first... surrender your blades."
"No!" Jackran managed to choke out a cry. "Don't trust her! Kill her!"
"Zip it." Day glared at the other boy. "Or you will be squeezed dry like lemon and thrown out of existence."
Bryan trembled, staring at the goddess and at Jackran. He gripped his katanas tighter and took a breath before moving to a stance. His irises vanish, eyes glowing full yellow before exterted his magic into his movements, dashing forward and jumping at a speed that Day was unable to counter. He slashed the blades onto her wrist, and she let out a shriek, the hand with Jackran in it falling to the temple roof in a pool of blood.
"ARGH!" Day was taken aback, using her only hand to hold onto the sides of the temple roof. "You PEST!"
Bryan didn't turn to face her. Instead, he slashed the fingers of her decapitated hand, releasing the other boy. Jackran gasped, landing on the surface with a thud. "Are you okay?" Bryan helped him up, neverminding the blood staining their cloths.
"I'm fine," Jackran nodded with a smile.
"How dare you slice my hand!?" Day raised her sword. "You will PAY for your defiance!"
Jackran growled and held out his bow and arrow. "I've had enough of this entitled goddess." His eyes gleamed blue, matching Bryan's gaze. "Shall we?"
"We shall." Bryan grinned.
As the blade lowered, the pair placed their weapons together, focusing their abilities at the center. A white force field appeared around them, sending the goddess away. Day scowled.
"I will not let you win this easily!"
Multiple swords appeared floating by her side. She sent them towards the pair, who deflected each sword with their forcefield. Jackran held out his bow, shooting the arrow straight at Day's forehead. Day was sent back once more, but the pair acted quickly. Jackran held back the bow's string, a giant arrow of light appearing in place of his usual arrows. Bryan held onto the light arrow before flying off, releasing the arrow from his grip to hit Day on the chest.
"NO!"
Day fell on her back, a large thud on the temple surface. She hissed and glared up as Bryan took his place on her fallen body. She attempted to get up, but one stomp from Bryan's feet kept her down.
"YOU--!"
"You will no longer harm the creatures of this world." Bryan held out both of his katanas. "I will make sure that you will not be disturbing us and our mortal lives..." The katanas grew larger in size, their surface melting into flames before he raised them. "Permanently."
"No, No, NO!"
Day tried to deflect the blades, but she was too late. The katanas fell, and a flash of bright light came as soon as they slashed her chest open. The light overwhelmed Bryan, sending him and Jackran down with a whoosh as the light engulfed the entire surroundings with it's brightness...
