Although Callum was amazed at all the advanced technology, he was more in awe of Maerin and his heart couldn't stop beating every time he looked at him.

Most importantly, the revelation that he was only half human was a total shock to him.

"What do you mean, I'm only half human?" A confused Callum asked.

"Well, when we conducted some tests on you we discovered that you have the same blood as the Atlanteans so we came to the conclusion that half of your DNA is of Atlantean origin."

Growing up, Callum never knew who his father was and so, it was probable that he was of Atlantean origin...this would also explain his love for the ocean.
