As the rain poured down, the thunder rolled, and the lighting flashed down on the ground stood the warriors of both Nightwalkers and Angelics looking at each other with swords ready in hand. Dastan was all but deserted as the village had now become a battlefield. All the humans that lived in the village hid in their homes for safety yet many looked from their windows at the demons reading for battle. Neither race made the first move to strike as there was so few of both in the village but all around the world Nightwalkers and Angelics could feel the pull of the battle and the death of both Corvin and Mya. When they felt this pull to battle many lost the feeling to keep themselves hidden from the humans anymore. The Angelics fell to the ground in pain opening their wings for all to see while the Nightwalkers let go of their human facade letting their red eyes glow for all to see and fear. Humans all over ran to their homes for safety while a few attempted to attack them to no avail as the Nightwalkers slaughtered them for their blood to gain strength for the battle ahead while the Angelics simply ignored them taking to the skies heading towards Dastan. Before they even left their villages, they armed themselves with their weapons and put on their armor then left for Dastan for the long-awaited battle.

Back in Dastan, Ash and James stared at each other sizing each other warriors. As he looked at the Angelics, Ash scoffed for in his mind the Angelics are a weak inferior race as they rarely fought making them no match for the Nightwalkers.

As Ash looked at the Angelics he saw Hera and Leo standing beside James. “If you stand with them Leo, your life and that of your wife is forfeit” Ash shouted at them.

James looked to Leo as if to say ‘are you sure’ to which Leo nodded as did Hera. Leo gripped his sword and shouted back proudly “Go to hell, Ash. This is always how it was going to end up.”

“So be it.” Ash replied to himself as he drew his sword and charged at the Angelics.

The Angelics stood their ground with their swords drawn as the Nightwalkers ran towards them. Their swords cut each other’s flesh, yet none fell since both are immortal and hard to kill. Their blood fell on the ground and through the rain falling all over the village. The villagers watched from their homes as the Angelics and Nightwalkers swords clashed all around them. With all this going on Kaileena stood frozen in place. As the day grew long the battle continued growing worse by the hour since neither could die easily. They continued to cut each other until they fell but they did not stay down long regaining their strength quickly to fight again. Since the battle began neither side had lost any souls, but the Nightwalkers grew weaker from the blood lust and the loss of their blood not wanting to give the victory to the Angelics.

Ash found a way to solve this problem by breaking into the human houses one at a time to feed. Regaining their strength while the others continued to fight until it was their turn to feed. As the day turned into night the rains continued to fall through the night. The battle raged on as they fought the humans that lived there began to sneak out of the village. Then they ran to the forest away from death all but Kaileena who was cowering in fear behind the village well in the middle of the battlefield. None seem to care about her as she was James.

As the others battled James found himself a moment alone all around him. He heard the sounds of battle apart from the cries of a woman not far from him. He marched over towards the silently as the night wind when he stood in front of her. He looked down at this meek human who never knew the truth around her even if it stood in front of her.  The pain she will and have caused for all who live on this world. Kaileena felt a dark shadow upon her when she opened her eyes and looked up to see James towering over her. Looking right into her eyes covered in blood from his head to his sword for which he gripped tightly to his bare feet every inch covered in blood. This striking figure of James covered in blood with his wings the same wings she saw in her dream fully spread out only adding to fear.

“Please don’t kill me.” Kaileena cried out trembling in fear.

James looked down at her and put away his sword back into its sheath giving her a momentarily sigh of relief that she would be safe. But that was far from the truth. James knelt in front of her and smiled the smile soon faded to nothing upon his face. He grabbed her by the neck pulling her up as he rose to a standing position. He gripped her neck so tightly that she struggled to speak and breathe. He brought her up to his face so she could see his pain, the pain she caused the lives she killed and will kill even beyond her death and this time.

“You brought this war upon us and all on this world. You many not of killed Mya and Lola but you aimed the sword in their direction. Their blood is on your hands. Their death was quick but yours won’t be you will suffer the same pain they felt as your own.” James spoke coldly before he took off for the sky with Kaileena still in his grasp.

James flew several hundred feet into the air above Dastan and took one last look at her sensing her fear. He gave her a sinister smile before releasing her. He watched and listened to her fall and scream through the black night and pouring rain. She fell for what seemed like forever before falling through the roof of the village leader’s home. Where he still sat with her broken and contorted body lay at his feet in the rubble of what was once his roof. Seeing this put the fear of death into him that was not there before. He felt that he was untouchable but with her death before him this feeling was gone and like the others he too ran for the safety of the forests. For James with Kaileena’s death under him he felt that his family could finally rest among the spirits. Since now all that was involved in their deaths were killed. Yet the battle raged below James landed back into the fury of the battle continuing to fight alongside his brothers and sisters.

As they fought both the Nightwalkers and the Angelics from all over were heading straight for Dastan and war. Along the way they started to attack one another trying to kill or slowdown each other’s no matter who got in the way. Even though the was still in its early stages. The death toll for the humans was high because some of the Nightwalkers that were converging on Dastan gorged themselves on human blood to gather their strength. For when they reach the village their strength will be at its peak. The Angelics wanted to avoid a high human body count since they were protecting them. They plotted and planned battles away from the human village and homes but at the same time the walkers need to feed on blood. So that is where they assume the battle would go. After a while the Angelics realized that no matter what they do there will be a high human body count. Human causalities caused not only by the walkers but themselves too. They tried their best to help the humans, but they didn’t understand the humans attacked the Angelics over and over. Yet they still stayed strong once the human came to realize that they couldn’t be killed or that they were trying to help the humans run for cover in the caves and forests.

The darkness that started in Dastan had now begin to spread and rage across the world as they fought all over but always moving towards Dastan. As they fought hard and strong neither side had yet to lose any souls not just in Dastan but all over. This surprised many of the Nightwalkers as they believed the battle would only last a few hours at most. They believed that the Angelics to be weak, but they caught off guard as the Angelics were more than holding their own. In fact, they were beating them. After hours of fighting came the first death, the first nonhuman death as a Nightwalker fell to Leo’s sword. Leo had beheaded this male Nightwalker in front of Ash who was taken back by this. As the Walker’s head rolled towards him until being stopped by his feet. Leo looked up at Ash who stared at the head that laid at his feet. Ash felt Leo staring at him from ten feet away. When Ash looked up to see Leo staring at him with his black eyes. Standing up Leo began to walk towards Ash with his sword ready to attack. As he got closer Ash ran away back to the safety of his fellow Nightwalkers. Leo mumbled under his breath as he rejoined the Angelics ‘coward’. Just as the first walker fell so did the first angelic moments later, she was struck down before Hera’s eyes by one of Corvin’s loyal followers. For both sides the war felt real now as their friends and family began to fall.

With her death the Angelics fought back harder to the point of Ash signaling the sign to retreat and regroup. This retreat was also much needed welcome for the Angelics as well as they were exhausted. They were not the only ones to lose people as many battles around the world began to claim lives of angels and walkers. This hatred had been stored up for so long that all they thought about was killing each other. While they rested, regroup, and strategized their reinforcement were very near. As many lived near Dastan in away to join their brothers and sisters in battle. Though the Angelics were faster than that of the walkers thank to them being able to fly. They tried to reach Dastan as quick as they could, but they were slowing down by the humans. As the Angelics thought that the walkers would go to feed on the humans but they were wrong.

Their mistake allowed the Nightwalkers to reach Dastan before the Angelics though weak from hunger as they used all their strength to beat the angels to the village. When they arrived Dastan and reached their fellow warriors, they were all raging with hunger and bloodlust. Unless they fed soon, they would be too weak to fight the war. Knowing that the humans ran to the forest nearby Ash told his brothers and sisters where they could find blood - fresh human blood. They needed to start their hunt for all the humans, all forty Nightwalkers ran into the forest to hunt. They hunted nearly all the humans that they could find but some of the humans managed to escape beyond the forest. Pass the river to the mountains to safety at least for now. The starving Nightwalkers had now gorged on human blood and back to full strength ready to fight once more. They rejoined their kin to prepared to strike the Angelics one more until all were dead... Unfortunately for the walkers their deception was finally realized by the angels. They took to the skies once again and flew as fast as they could to Dastan. As there were at least six hours behind the walkers.

As the Angelics flew towards the village the ones that still lived there including Leo and Hera were all taking a much-needed rest, regrouping and nourishment. While they ate Leo and Hera took to the forest to kill a deer drinking its blood for strength. As they refused to hunt humans like their kin across the village and around the world. Once they had their fill Leo and Hera returned to the Angelics to plan and strategize. After a few hours of rest and regrouping the Nightwalkers led by Ash began to move on the Angelics. On the ground they moved on the awaiting angels Leo and Hera. In the sky above their reinforcements arrived though low in strength they still had heart to fight. As they flew overhead in the breaking dawn sky, they saw over forty Nightwalkers advancing quietly on the angels. The angels were completely unaware of the attack. The angels realized that this wasn’t going to be a battle but a slaughter. They flew down straight into the Nightwalker hoard with their weapons drawn ready to strike the walkers down on impact. They flew into the hoard slicing off many Walker’s heads before their feet even touched the ground. The over twenty Angelics hit the ground with great force and power that the ground beneath shook with such ferocity. That it alerted James and the others of the failed attack that caused the deaths of over ten walkers and injuring several more.

With the Angels alerted, they joined their kin in battle with the odds at a more even level. The battle continued in Dastan with more immortals dying each passing hour. Soon the hours turned into days, weeks, and months. On that day every one’s fate human, Nightwalker and Angelics was carved into stone for all were battling to the death and life.

A prophecy spoken millenniums ago started a feud between two immortal races the Angelics and the Nightwalkers. A feud that was never spoken out loud for humans should never know they exist but all knew the hate in their hearts, not just hate but fear. Though some embrace each other in friendship but intimate relations were forbidden. Leo a nightwalker and James an angelic have been there since the beginning and now these two opposing races are brought together through fate and destiny. For Their children will bring about the prophecy and their doom or perhaps hope. For the prophecy spoke of a man born of two worlds who would one day bring about the end of Angelics and Nightwalkers and at the same time his death will bring the worlds back together.
"I was Born into a world of light & dark. A world
I was never meant to see..."
" 12,000 years before my birth a war began, a war between two of the most powerful races. It was a war between Nightwalkers & Angelics. For many centuries before the war both races lived in peace among the humans, unnoticed for on the outside we looked just like them apart for our eyes. What humans didn't know was that we were so much more. In the weeks before the war all of what they knew was about to change. For the veil of secrecy was lifted for all to see...."
