Paul walked away from the family campsite and over to the treeline as he answered his phone "Tord- aren't you busy?" Paul questioned, thick brows knotting in slight concern and confusion of the sudden phone call "How's your sister? the emergency?" his army leader's voice questioned on the other end of the phone as Paul's gaze travelled from the ground over to the cabin his sister was currently in "...she's good now" he answered. "And the rest of your family?" "They're fine- shaken up but fine" Paul answered, voice a little strained as it withdrew the annoyance he was currently feeling "Listen, if this is a phone call of you dragging me back to Norway-" "I'm currently in Ashmaine" Tord cut off Paul mid angry spat "I had to return due to an emergency of my own- do not worry, you can have all the time off as you see fit". Hearing this made Paul wary "I've received a report from the royal family of Hell, unregistered portal travels had been made from the Under Realm to Mid within the past couple of weeks, along with high sparks of magic readings due to what's entered through those portals" Tord stated. "We're suspecting that it's one of three things: new celestial weaponry, the Grey Leader himself, or the missing kids" he continued as Paul's eyes widened a little "They're back?" "We do not know, we're looking into the exit locations so until further notice, we're treating this as unauthorised portal travel" Tord answered. Paul sighed, turning his head away from the cabins and back to the ground "I have given Patryk light duty until you return: he'll be stationed at the realm gate between Mid and the Human Realm, and when you believe you are ready to return to duty, give me a call and I'll sort out the rest" Tord told him, Paul folded an arm over his chest. "Is this the type of leader you're going to be? giving friends special treatment and everyone else a rough time?" he questioned the leader on the other end of the phone "I'm the type of leader who puts his soldiers' needs before the army and himself... I can't have soldiers doing work whilst physically and or mentally out of it" Tord answered "Your sister, Ashlin, she means a lot to you, be there for her and the rest of your family".
Tord didn't let Paul say another word before hanging up on him. Paul growled under his breath, turning his head back towards the cabins once again, worry and frustration drawn over his face as he scrolled through his phone and dialled a number, holding the phone close to his ear "Hey babe, thought you were going to call later tonight" "Sorry, Pat" Paul apologised to his boyfriend. "I need to ask a favour" "Okay?" Patryk's voice responded "I need you to keep an ear and eye out for Tord, something's going on with him and I'm concerned" Paul admitted "I'll watch out for him" his boyfriend assured him.
