Chapter 9

After Princess Robyn and the representative of the Velcent Merchant Guild, Gray, introduced themselves. Leonardo wanted to introduce his Queen, Linda.

“Before anything else, I’d like to introduce my Queen.” Says Leonardo.

Leonardo holds Linda's hand while she introduces herself.

“I’m Linda Capet, Queen of Forest of Capet.” Then she smiles, “Now let’s get to business.”

Talks of trades have now commenced.

Princess Robyn and Gray seeked an audience because they wanted to have permission to trade a new good, Azul Mango’s, to the Forest of Capet in exchange for 50% more of Forest of Capet’s special fruit, the Moonlight Watermelon.

After Leonardo and Linda looked through the documents, they both discussed and decided,

“Hmm, instead of 50% more of the Moonlight Watermelon, we have decided to give you 25% more in exchange.”

Princess Robyn then asks, “Pray tell, why only 25%?”

“Because it takes time and care to produce the Moonlight Watermelon, that increasing the production not only for trade, but for our own uses, is simply impossible.” Says Linda.

Then Gray says, “Surely there’s a way-.”

Princess Robyn interrupts and says, “I see, we’ll accept the 25% increase.”

Now that the discussion of trade is over, Princess Robyn makes a request,

“Forgive me, but may I have permission to have tea with Her Majesty?”

Linda took a minute and mumbled, “What is she up to.” Then answered, “You may.”

Princess Robyn smiles and says, “Thank you, Her Majesty.”

“Though… I will only give you 30 minutes of my time, for it's precious to me.” Linda says while glaring at Princess Robyn.

Princess Robyn, insulted, gritted her teeth through her smile.

For the rest of the night, Linda and Leonardo are sitting in the garden.

Leonardo smiles and says, “I was surprised by how you handled yourself today.” 

“I was too… truth be told, I just said what felt right.” Says Linda.

Leonardo gently holds her hand and says, “That just means you’re a natural at ruling.” Then he smiles, “I’m proud of you.”

Linda lovingly stares at Leonardo and says, “Thank you…” then smiles, “I love you.”

Leonardo blushes and says, “I love you too.”

And then they kiss.

The next morning, Carla and Felda were dressing Linda to look presentable as a Queen for her tea session with Princess Robyn.

Carla smiles and says, “Your Majesty, we will make sure your looks will put Princess Robyn in her place.”

“So don’t worry about your looks and focus on the real battle.” Says Felda.

Linda smiles with determination and says, “Thank you, I’ll do my best.”

When Linda looked in the mirror, her outfit was draped clothing dawned with pearls and gold accessories with her hair tied up.

Linda, amazed by what she saw, says, “Wow… you guys went all out…”

Carla proudly says, “Of course, your Majesty has to show Princess Robyn whose Queen.”

“Your Majesty simply has to out-due Princess Robyn.” Says Felda.

Linda worryingly mumbles, “I hope after this tea session, she’ll give up peacefully…”

Princess Robyn waited 30 minutes in the garden for Linda to show up.

Princess Robyn gritted her teeth and thought, “Where could that fraud be! To make me of all people wait… Who does she think she is!” Then mumbles menacingly, “It seems I need to knock her down a peg or two…”

Then Linda shows up and shocks Princess Robyn with how beautiful and Queen-like she looked.

Princess Robyn gritted her teeth through her smile and thought, “Damn, she actually looks the part, but I hope she didn’t hear me.” Then bowed and said, “Hello, your Majesty, how are you faring this fine evening?”

Then Linda smiled and thought, “So… she thinks she can take me down a peg?” Then glares and says, “Good, how are you faring?”

Princess Robyn smiles and says, “Good as well, your Majesty.”

“Then let us have a seat now.” Says Linda.

After a moment of silence Linda says, “If you wanted to have tea in silence I wouldn’t have wasted my precious time here.” Then she glares, “So, show me your true intention.”

Princess Robyn puts down her tea cup and says, “You have a lot of nerve to take what’s mine.”

“Take what’s yours.” Linda says confusingly.

“The Forest of Capet was supposed to be under my rule, but a simple commoner has taken it from me?” Says Princess Robyn menacingly.

Linda puts down her tea cup and says, “I see why you wouldn’t make a good Queen.”

“What!?” 

Linda says glaringly, “I may be a commoner, but I’ll know more about The Forest of Capet than you’ll ever get to know.” 

Princess Robyn, insulted, says “How dare you talk to me like that, I can get my Father to stop all trades!”

“No you can’t, I know your Father isn’t one to dote on his children.” Then says menacingly, “And it’s you who needs to watch who you’re speaking to… I am the Queen.”

Princess Robyn gritted her teeth and thought, “How much does this wench know and in such a short time.”

Linda takes a sip of tea and says, “Well would you look at the time… our session is over.”

As Linda got up to leave she thought, “My precious time has been wasted on someone incompetent.” Out loud.

And Princess Robyn heard her and then her face turned red from anger.

Later that night, Linda and her sisters are all hanging out in her room for a sleepover.

“So how was that tea time with that Princess Robyn?” Says Liese.

Lilli then says, “Yea~ did you put her in her place?”

Linda told them what happened during her tea time with Princess Robyn. 

“The nerve of that Princess to say that to you.” Liese was irritated.

Lilli angrily says, “Like, who does she think she is to say that to you?”

Linda sighs and says, “I know, I thought she’d be more civil, but she badly wants to be Queen.” Then angrily says, “I really hoped that she would give up peacefully, but it doesn’t seem so.”

“I don’t understand why she wants to be Queen so badly.” Says Lilli.

“If I get the chance I’ll ask her myself, cause she’s almost obsessed.” Says Linda.

Linda gets up and sits on the bedroom window and says, “it almost feels like she’ll take Leonardo away from me.”
