Bryce O'Connor leaned down and kissed her lips again, as Vina Morton guessed what he was thinking.
That night, Vina Morton almost cried because of Bryce O'Connor.
The next morning.
Sunlight streamed through the window, spreading across the soft bed.
The girl was still asleep. The man lying next to her propped himself up, his eyes fixed on her. Remembering the events of the previous night, Bryce O'Connor almost thought he was dreaming.
But when he woke up, Vina Morton was right beside him, sleeping so peacefully, so adorably.
Her body bore many marks he had left.
They were his marks.
Vina Morton hadn't resisted.
Bryce O'Connor lowered his gaze, his eyes full of affection.
His long fingers gently caressed the girl's eyebrows.
Had his Vina really agreed to be with him?
At that moment, the girl in deep sleep suddenly moved.
Bryce O'Connor instinctively lay down and closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep beside Vina Morton.
Vina Morton opened her eyes, the strong light making her quickly close them again. After a moment of adjustment, she opened her eyes again and saw Bryce O'Connor lying next to her.
Seeing Bryce O'Connor, Vina Morton immediately recalled the wildness of the previous night.
Although they didn't go all the way, she had been thoroughly teased everywhere.
Her body was covered in marks from Bryce O'Connor's kisses.
Even though Bryce O'Connor had resisted with bloodshot eyes and ragged breaths, refusing to fully possess her, Vina Morton knew he was still worried, which is why he hadn't gone all the way.
"Bryce O'Connor, why are you so silly?" she murmured in her sweet, soft voice. The body of the man pretending to sleep suddenly tensed up.
Could Vina Morton be faking it, pretending to be fine?
Did she not really want to be with him?
As Bryce O'Connor's thoughts grew more anxious, he heard Vina Morton let out a small sigh and whisper, "Why did you hold back last night? Are you incapable?"
Bryce O'Connor: "???"
She was saying he was incapable?
In what way?
In that way?
Him, incapable?
Impossible.
Ten Vina Mortons wouldn't be enough for him.
If he hadn't been worried about why she suddenly changed her attitude and the possibility of hurting her, Bryce O'Connor wouldn't have taken three cold showers after she fell asleep.
Despite these thoughts, the man pretending to sleep remained still.
Seeing that Bryce O'Connor was still asleep, Vina Morton propped her head up and stared at him. Bryce O'Connor's heart was racing from the intense gaze. He didn't know what Vina Morton wanted to do, but he wanted to know what she was planning.
Vina Morton was lost in her memories as she stared at Bryce O'Connor.
This was the first time since high school that she had been this close to Bryce O'Connor.
In her memories, Bryce O'Connor was always the golden child—excellent, capable, tall, and handsome. He excelled in both character and academics, with no bad habits. During their school years, he was the school heartthrob, the prince charming in the hearts of countless girls.
He was also her prince.
But unfortunately, in their sophomore year...
"Have you stared at me long enough?" A low, deep voice pulled Vina Morton from her thoughts. Embarrassed, she tried to move back, but Bryce O'Connor was quicker, pulling her close by the waist.
They stared at each other, their bodies pressed together, breaths mingling.
Caught spying on him, Vina Morton felt a bit shy. She greeted him softly, "Good morning, husband."
"Not good," Bryce O'Connor replied.
Puzzled, Vina Morton looked up. "Why not good?"
She looked up at him with innocent eyes, and Bryce O'Connor felt like his body was about to explode. He had intended to keep pretending to sleep, but her gaze was too intense, making him...
"Husband..."
The next second.
Bryce O'Connor's large hand gripped Vina Morton's neck, and his wet, possessive kiss descended. Vina Morton couldn't comprehend what was happening before she was being kissed fiercely, just like the night before.
But Vina Morton liked it.
Only in this way could she feel Bryce O'Connor's presence.
Only in this way could she truly feel that she had been reborn.
Clinging tightly to Bryce O'Connor's shoulders.
Vina Morton responded to him with all her effort.
She knew Bryce O'Connor didn't believe her, so she had to be even more proactive.
Bryce O'Connor slightly opened his eyes and saw the girl under him, responding seriously to his kiss, her expression showing no resistance, even lost in the moment.
His grip on her waist tightened.
Vina Morton let out a slight, painful "mm."
But this light moan was swallowed by the man.
In the end.
Vina Morton didn't know how she got up and went downstairs for breakfast. Her eyes were still dazed. As she descended the stairs, still in a dreamy state, she suddenly missed a step.
She let out a startled cry.
Thinking she would tumble down, she was surprised to be caught the next second, crashing into a solid, pleasantly scented chest. Vina Morton looked up into Bryce O'Connor's stern eyes. He frowned down at her, "Why don't you watch where you're going? What were you thinking?"
What was she thinking?
Wasn't it because...
Vina Morton's cheeks turned hot.
"Bryce O'Connor, you... you..."
Bryce O'Connor looked at her, "What about me?"
Vina Morton's face reddened, and she remained silent.
Knowing what she wanted to say, Bryce O'Connor, seeing her shy expression, felt a surge of happiness. "If you don't want to talk, let's go eat breakfast."
Vina Morton obediently went downstairs.
But this time, Bryce O'Connor held her hand as they descended.
Aunt Jessie had already prepared breakfast. Seeing Bryce O'Connor and Vina Morton coming down hand in hand, she smiled warmly.
She had thought it was a dream when Mrs. Morton changed her attitude yesterday, but now she saw it wasn't a dream.
This was wonderful news.
"Sir, Madam, breakfast is ready, please enjoy."
Vina Morton smiled sweetly, "Thank you, Aunt Jessie."
Aunt Jessie was charmed by Vina Morton's smile and returned it.
The two of them sat down, and Bryce O'Connor started serving Vina Morton breakfast, pushing various foods in front of her: milk, sandwiches, and millet porridge.
Seeing this, Aunt Jessie quietly stepped back, took a photo of them with a click, and sent it to Grandma O'Connor at the family estate. The old couple would be delighted to see their grandson and his wife getting along well.
Afterward, Aunt Jessie busied herself with other tasks.
At the table.
Vina Morton had just finished a small bowl of porridge when another peeled egg was placed in her bowl. Bryce O'Connor then served her another bowl of millet porridge. Vina Morton touched her somewhat full stomach and said, "Bryce O'Connor, I'm full. I can't eat anymore."
Is she full after eating just a little bit?
Bryce O'Connor looked at her and handed her a strawed glass of milk, speaking in a low voice, "Eat more. Your waist is so thin, it feels like it'll snap with a bit of force."
