Kai Found Jenna leaving Aria’s room. It was then that she began to cough up bubbles, a sign that the time was near to keep up her end of the deal. Kai rushed to her side and helped her into their room. “Perhaps we come up with a plan to get rid of Ursula upon her arrival.”
“What?”
“Your deal, you have to pull her through time Just before she dies and bring her into the future, but it didn’t say you had to guarantee her safety upon her return, did you?”
“No . . . that’s not the only issue,” I turned to him, “Why are you coming up with such crazy schemes. I-” he cut her off with a kiss and held her close.
“Because I have no intention of just letting you die for the sake of world peace. Jenna, you are my greatest treasure. And once a Pirate gets their treasure, they don’t let it go they fight for it.” His eyes were serious and filled with love.
“I thought you denounced being a pirate,” Jenna said as she leaned into his embrace.
“It may no longer be my occupation, but it is still a part of my core.” Jenna smiled at him.
“The magic spell I need to do this is forbidden I could go mad like Ursula if I cast it, or worse.”
“We’ll find a way,” Kai said, holding her closer. “We still need you; I need you. I love you, Jenna”
“I love you too, my Pirate Prince.” They kissed, “We mustn’t let the children know it will only worry them. Not until we have it all sorted out.”
“Alright, but it’s only a matter of time till they figure out what’s happening themselves. They are both rather observant after all.”
. . .
Unbeknownst to them their son, Dylan, had also seen his mother cough up bubbles. From down the hall. He too knew what that meant and worried about what the future had in store for them. And how their lives might all come crashing down to an end. So, he stealthily made his way over to his sister’s room and woke her by telling her what transpired. Turns out the two of them were also preparing for the day the deal will need to be fulfilled and Aria pulled out her notes and magic tool designs. They knew what harm using that forbidden spell may bring to their mother and had been doing research to try and prevent the madness from taking her over. And they believe they found their answer with a particular gemstone, known as a magestone. These stones are different from magic stones. They were stones created naturally, having absorbed power from their surroundings, while magic stones were made by human hands and each one contained a particular type of magic, while a magestone was more versatile. “We will need magestones,” Aria said while letting out a yawn, “if my research is correct, if magic is cast through magestones it may minimize the damage magic can have on the caster.”
“Only one problem,” Kai said, “mage stones a rare and it will be difficult to get our hands on any.”
“Except if magestones are made by absorbing magic, then places filled with an abundance of magic that might not be the case,” Aria pulled out a world map, “they’d be rare everywhere except . . .” she pointed at a place on the map, “Briar Valley.”
