Fabian locked the door and looked for feet under the stalls. When he saw none he finally erupted.
"Amazing, huh?!"
"Yes! Amazing does not come close to describing it." Adam said as he looked down his hands and saw light flowing through them. "Whoa."
Then Adan fell silent as he looked up at Fabian.
"Yeah, I know."
Translucent wings were folded on his back and ethereal chains were wrapped around his head, held by a lock dangling on his forehead.
"What? Why?"
"Nothing to worry about. I am working on it. Why don’t you take a look at your own self now."
Adam turned to face the mirror. He was awestruck by the image looking back at him. Glowing light streams radiated from his head. And the glasses showed their true form. A line of light emanated from each side of the frames, flowing towards the center of Alan’s forehead. They formed a pyramid shape holding an ethereal lens at its tip right in front of a third eye in his forehead. His third eye blinked for a moment and radiated soft yet intense blue purple light.
"Wow!"
"I am sure it is a sight to behold." Fabian remarked.
"Have you never used these before. And you seem to be aware of everything I am seeing even without them."
"I have tried, but they haven’t quite worked for obvious reasons." Fabian said pointing to the lock dandling on his forehead. "But yeah I can catch glimpses of it all as well as feel it or just know it. It is hard to explain."
"Ok, I see. So what is that?" Adam asked, referring to the lock on Greg’s forehead.
"It’s a long story. I am sure we will have time to get into it at some point. Right now its time to remove the glasses and get back to your regular scheduled routine. We do not want to draw unnecessary attention to ourselves."
"Sure, yeah, no unnecessary attention is always good." Adam replied as the introvert he is.
"And you shouldn’t wear them for more than a few minutes at a time for now."
"Why not?"
"Well, so you don’t die."
"What?!"
"Hahaha, just kidding. Man, you scare easy. You should have seen your face. Hahahaha."
"Haha, very funny."
"But seriously, don’t wear them for more than a few minutes at a time. Trust me."
"Fine fine, not like I would want to risk experiencing that pouncing pain in my brain ever again."
