Hatenah Pov

I moaned when my alarm went off in my ear and I woke up. I got up, went to my closet, and took out a plain white t-shirt that was big. A pair of gray sweatpants and white Converse that gradually took on a yellow-brown hue. My hair was pulled up in a high ponytail. I cleaned my teeth, walked downstairs, ate, and then I departed.

“HEY!! WAIT UP!!” I turned around to see a girl with dirty blonde hair running towards me. She was wearing a black dress with white flowers planted all over it. The dress came right above her knees. It had little ruffles on the end which added the finish touch. She was wearing strapless white heels so elegantly. “Do you go to West Brook High?” She asked with a cheek to cheek smile. “Yes…” I say with an hesitant tone. “Great!! I’m new and I don’t know what I’m doing.” She says with an awkward laugh. I smiled and laughed. “That’s ok. I can help you. What grade?” I asked. “10th.” I looked at her which explained why I hadn't seen her around the halls. She's an underclassman. 

*Timeskip*

I entered the school with Janae(Underclassman). She told me her name on the bus and stuff about her like how she’s adopted, has a bigger brother in 11th, favorite color is pastel green, loves hamsters and she loves spaghetti more than anything. She’s cool. I showed her to her first period. I said I would help her find the rest of her classes but she said she could manage. 

I walked to class, sat with my friends and chatted a little before the teacher walked in to make an announcement. “Shush everyone today we are doing a project with two. I’ll be picking partners and the topic and no changing and whining.” She says as she starts calling names out. Finally she got to my name. “Hatenah and Levi yall will be doing a topic on all biomes.” Great I get a shitty topic but also a sarcastic a****** of a partner. I looked behind me to see he was giving me a nasty look with his lip turned up and his nose. “Everyone get together with your partner and the deadline is next Monday.”

Me being stubborn I stayed in my seat waiting for him to come to me. Of course he didn't, it seemed like he was being as stubborn as me. 

“I’m not moving.” I hear in my ear. I don’t know why but a wave of chills ran up my body. His voice was deep but calming deep. I shook my head hoping to get those thoughts out of my head. I turned around and stared at him for a little bit, noticing how his freckles start from under the middle of his eyes and curve to the end of his eyes. I scoffed. “Well I’m not either so I guess we’re failing.” I smiled and turned back around. 

I heard noise behind me then noise beside me I looked to see Levi sitting in the desk beside me with his computer opened to google docs with the headline Biomes. 

*Timeskip*

“Alright everyone remember the deadline is next Monday.” I gather my things quickly and leave. I was walking down the hallway to my next class when I felt someone behind me. I turned around to see Levi. I sped walked a little bit. I hoped the next corner I would lose him but no he was still behind me. “STOP FOLLOWING ME!!!” I screamed and people seemed to turn their heads slowly to see what the commotion was. He gave me a confused look and held his hand out and a computer was setted in it. “I’m not you forgot your computer.” I just looked at him, feeling my face heat up. 

“HEYY!! You met my brother.” I turned to see Janae smiling at me. Oh dear. You learn something everyday.
