Chapter 9
I felt relieved. Now that I would enter the Tournament, my goal was closer than ever. But, there was one big problem. A really big problem.
I didn‘t know how to fight.
Not the best requirements to participate in a battle tournament. But with Sturm being my partner, I calculated my chances pretty high.
‘Well then, it‘s decided.‘ Sturm said. The other members left the room and went back to their duties. I was sitting down stunned looking at them leaving as they just accepted the decision Sturm just made.
‘Don‘t worry.‘ Sturm suddenly said. He stood up and sat down beside me.
‘I will train you and make sure that you're prepared. And other than that, I will make sure to protect you at all times.‘ he said as he looked me in the eyes. I was filled with emotions as our eyes locked. He made me feel a way that no prince across the kingdoms could.
‘Thank you. I hope it turns out well.‘.
Sturm took me with him to a place where we could train in peace. We left the tavern and walked towards the east. As we arrived at a hill.
‘Our training ground is right behind it.‘ Sturm said.
‘Are you sure? Just walking up this hill seems like enough training.‘ I said while looking stunned.
The hill had no passage and was covered with big rocks. I rolled my ankle a few times just walking up.
‘Hey!! Wait! Not so fast!‘ I screamed as Sturm has already arrived at the top. He didn‘t seem to hear me as he just looked at what was behind this hill.
‘That‘s not how you should treat a princess!‘ I mumbled to myself.
After a long and painful time, I finally arrived at the top.
‘Couldn‘t you at least wait for a bit?!‘ I told Sturm before even seeing what was in front of us. He seemed stunned and didn‘t say a word. After I got on my feet and finally saw it, I immediately got goosebumps.
A massive valley stretched into the infinite lands. It was filled with flower fields and seas. I never saw something this beautiful in my entire life.
‘I didn‘t know such a place could exist.‘ I said.
‘I train here my entire life, but I get stunned by it‘s beauty every single time.‘ Sturm said as he looked into the distance. He then turned to me and stretched out his hand.
‘Ready to start?‘ he asked me and I nodded with the goal in my eyes. The Holy Tournament. I was ready to sacrifice anything. Suddenly, Sturm started to run down the hill and he scared me so much that I almost fell down.
‘Last one to arrive has to carry the weapon bag!‘ he screamed as he pointed down to the beautiful scenery.
‘This isn‘t fair! You didn‘t warn me!‘.
