“Get your butt up and listen to this!” I felt myself being nudged and rolled while I tried to sleep. I wanted to kick this person whose voice I recognized as Tim’s. “What?” I groaned groggily as I let him roll me around my bed, as long as he didn’t push me off of it.
“Zoe didn’t really know about Paige’s sexuality too.” I groaned again, this time disappointed at the information that Tim just gave me. “But,” waiting for Tim to continue, I pushed him away lightly before sitting up, with my eyes open wide now.
“But?”
A huge smile came onto his face as I looked at him with confusion. “But… Zoe will help us find out.”
Frowning at him, I went to lay back down on my bed, when I was stopped and dragged off of it by my arms. My butt was abused again as I fell on it. “Fuck!”
“No cursing.” Tim scolded while I continued to frown at him. “Besides, I just gave you some good news.” If this is what he called good news, I was beginning to wonder what his bad news would be.
“Tim, get out of here, and take your stupid good news with you.”
“Ouch.” Putting a hand on his chest, he gave me an injured puppy dog look, as if that could help him. “Leave.”
He gave me a pout, as I got off of my injured butt and the floor that had too much dirty laundry just laying around. I really needed to gather all these clothes up. Whatever, I’ll do it later.
“We can ask Bridget about Paige then.”
“No!” Just as the sentence and that name left Tim’s mouth, I opened my eyes wide in alert as if I wasn’t just sleeping a few minutes earlier. “We are not, and I mean, not, asking Bridget about anything. Anything.”
“Woah, a lot of hostility I see for Bridget there.” Tim chuckled while I glared at him. “She’s not the cute and pretty girl that looks a little like Megan Fox with her silky dark hair that she dyed blonde and those blue oceanic eyes. This girl is evil and… dark, and also very mean.”
Tim snorted, “You really sound like a scared toddler at the moment.”
Giving him a shove, I sigh, “She really isn’t who everyone thinks she is.”
“A popular rich girl that likes makeup and fashion?” Tim gave me a grin as I gave him the middle finger. “If you want to talk to her then fine, just don’t mention me or anything.”
Lying back down on my bed, I draped my covers over myself while Tim stood rooted to the floor, looking at me with a sorry expression, and that was what I hated the most. Being looked at with pity. “I know that she bullies you and everything but she’s the only way for you to find out if Paige is a lesbian or not.”
I wanted to avoid that fact at best as I turned my back towards him before closing my eyes to go back to sleep. He didn’t need to know about the way Bridget scared me or how much I wanted that girl to not even notice me.
“You do know that your silence practically is a ‘yes’.”
“And you do know that I don’t want to talk and just sleep, right?” I heard a groan before I heard footsteps, Tim’s footsteps. I think he’s leaving. “Just – Just know that I’m here whenever you want to talk or something.” Without looking back at my best friend, I simply nodded my head, hoping in my mind that he saw it.
The door to my room closed shut and I sighed a breath of relief.
Bridget might be a bad person but if she knows Paige’s sexuality, I’m gonna think that she’s not that bad after all.

No, she’s bad. She’s really bad!
I stood rooted to the place I was standing before everything went to shit as Bridget stared at me. Her stare was scrutinizing as she circled around me. As much as I wanted to hide, I couldn’t. I couldn’t even hide my expressions since, she had taken my paper bag off of my face.
“Tim came to ask me something today.” She started, after a whole day of just looking at me. Well, it felt like a day when it was only a few minutes.
She had caught me off guard when I had asked for Mr. Perez to go visit the little ladies room. I didn’t even know that she was following me until I heard her lock the bathroom door, and then fold her arms over her chest.
“Uh, really? W-what type of question?” Since, she wasn’t going to tell me about it herself, I had to ask, even though I already knew the answer.
Her lips stretched into a smile, an evil smile, as she kept rotating around my body, which felt like, it was getting smaller and smaller. “He asked me if Paige was gay.”
I gulped, she smirked. “W-what did you tell him?” I knew what Tim had asked her but not what she had answered, and as she kept the smirk on her face, I found myself gulping again. “Nothing.”
She turned around, showing me her back, as she paced around the bathroom as if it was her living room and I was a child being scolded for eating ice-cream secretly.
“Oh.” I couldn’t keep myself from letting the disappointment seep through into my voice, and Bridget turned around to face me again, this time, with a serious look on her face.
“I’ll offer you a deal.” My ears perked up, and my stomach felt the uneasiness of the way that sounded. It sounded bad.
And as much as I wanted to just walk out of the bathroom with my paper bag, I couldn’t. Not when my feet were pasted to the floor. It almost felt like she had control over my limbs, or my mind, or both. Maybe, she really was a witch. A witch that escaped her own world and got stranded here, so she thought that maybe she might just have fun while it lasts.
Slapping myself across the back of my head, internally, I choked when Bridget got a little too close to my face. Her eyes scanned my face before settling on my lips.
A creepy shiver ran up my spine as Bridget’s mouth opened and the words came out. I immediately stepped two feet away from her, as she smiled at me. A smile that really wasn’t that familiar since all her smiles before were menacing and cruel, well, at least the ones that were directed towards me.
“I want you to be my girlfriend.”
Her question felt like a hammer and my mind felt like the nail. The question kept banging into my head, even when I was trying to get it out of there.
“Everyone will stop bullying you and you can stop wearing that god-awful paper bag over your head. It’s a win-win for both of us.” I didn’t know in what way she was going to get a ‘win’ from this.
My answer was almost immediate, as I shook my head frantically. “No.”
“I’ll give you a day to re-consider your answer. Here’s my number.” Giving me a slip of paper from her blazer pocket, and grabbing her bag from the sinks, she gave me a smile from over her shoulder before going towards the bathroom door.
Unlocking the door, she looked from over her shoulder, at me, for the last time, “I really hope that you say yes, or you know what might happen.”
The thought of being bullied by her gave me shivers, and not the good kinds. She was just saying some snide words up till now, who knew what she had up her designer sleeves.
I just knew one thing, that I had to ask Tim about what happened when he asked that question and why in the world would Bridget even want to be my girlfriend. I thought she hated me.
Maybe, she was attracted to embarrassed humiliated lesbians?
I can’t believe I even thought that.
Well, she even gave me her phone number, that’s weirder.
Whatever it really was, it was bad.
