Chapter 11
Linda runs to her room to collect her things.
“I must try to keep myself collected… for both of our sakes.”
Then she sits down at her table to write a note to leave behind.
“Since I won’t be here to tell them myself, I’ll write down all that has happened.”
The note states,
"I am going on a 7 year long journey to free Leonardo from his curse once and for all, for he has turned into a Dove and fled away once a strand of sunlight grazed his skin. Following through on the prophecy, I must follow the trails of blood and feathers as soon as possible. Tell Burnard to look after the Kingdom for us.
P.s. Father… Sisters… Please don’t worry, I will be safe."
Love, Linda Salto’Capet
Linda then sits in front of her vanity and looks at herself in the mirror.
“Keeping this long hair will be hard to manage on my journey.”
Then she grabs the scissors and cuts her hair which now looks like a short wavy bob.
“This should be easier to manage.”
She then changes her purple decorative drapes to a simpler cream colored draped style, for easier travel.
Then she ran as fast as she could to the outside of the garden, where the first drop of blood and feather fell.
When she arrives though, she is confronted by Princess Robyn.
“And where do you think you’re going?”
Linda says as she’s walking away, “I’m going to Leonardo.”
Princess Robyn says menacingly, “And where would that be?”
Linda turns to look at Princess Robyn and says, “Why do you want to know?”
Princess Robyn smiles and says, “That is none of your concern.”
Linda glares at Princess Robyn and says, “I don’t know what you’re up to, but if you try to take or hurt Leonardo… I’ll make you regret it.”
Princess Robyn smiles menacingly and says, “Oh? And how will you do that?” Then she got closer and said, “You are powerless without His Majesty.”
Linda glared and said, “That may be true for you, but is it the same for your father? From what I understand he’s more competent than you.”
Princess Robyn turns red from anger and then tries to smack Linda, but Linda catches her hand.
“You know what’ll happen if a princess like you smacks a Queen… Right?”
Princess Robyn grits her teeth and snatches her hand away and say,
“I don’t know where His Majesty may be… But I’ll find him first.” Then she walks off.
After a minute,
Linda gasps and says, “I need to hurry, I’ve wasted too much time already.”
Linda runs and finds the first drop of blood and feathers, then continues to find the others. Leading her to the unknown.
The next morning, Princess Robyn leaves for her Kingdom.
“I will find him first.” Says Princess Robyn determinedly.
A little later, Liese and Lilli were on their way to Linda’s room.
“Why… this is so unusual… First she skipped breakfast, then didn’t show up to see Princess Robyn and the Merchants off.” Says Liese worryingly.
“Yea, like, it’s making me extremely worried… not to mention how father is right now.” Says Lilli worryingly.
Now in front of Linda’s room, Liese knocks on the door.
Liese worryingly says, “Why isn’t she answering?”
“Liese… Let’s open the door.” Says Lilli, concerned.
They open the door and find the room empty.
“She isn’t here? Where could she be?” Says Liese.
“Liese look, it looks to be a note.” Says Lili.
They then read the note.
Lilli, shocked, says, “Wh-What does this say?”
Liese urgently says, “Oh my! We must tell father and Burnard, quickly.
They run out of the room with tears in their eyes.
Algar and Burnard were talking with each other about the whereabouts of Leonardo, when Liese and Lilli came running to them crying.
Algae worryingly says, “What’s the matter?”
Burnard, concerned, asked, “What’s that piece of paper you're holding?”
Liese and Lilli give them the note to read and explain how they found it.
Algar, shocked, says, “Wh-What?!? My precious daughter!”
Burnard urgently says, “We have to find His and Her Majesty before it’s too late!”
But, it was too late… they couldn’t find a trace of either of them… Not even the traces of blood and feather that were mentioned in the note.
Burnard and Algar are now talking to Geneva to look for answers to what they can do.
Geneva says, “Maybe once Her Majesty finds the blood and feather… It disappears.”
Algar, upset, says, “So, there’s no way to track them?”
Burnard says, “Does this mean… we can’t do anything?”
Geneva scowls and says, “That seems to be the case… The prophecy was… is about His and Her Majesty after all.”
Algar angrily says, “No! I can’t accept this.”
Burnard puts his hand on Algar’s shoulder to comfort him and says, “Well… we’re gonna have to…”
Algar breaks down crying, worried about Linda’s safety. And Burnard is stressed about his new responsibilities and the safety of His and Her Majesty.
Geneva walks to the window and looks out it and thinks, “I hope the both of them make it out of this safely.”
During the 7 years Linda followed every single drop of blood and feather that Leonardo left behind… But one day…
Linda worryingly says, “Huh? Where’s the blood and feathers?” Then she looks around at the sky and says, “I can’t see Leonardo anymore either… What is happening?”
