“We have a keen observer here,” William chuckled. “May I ask how you arrived at this conclusion?” William inquired, intrigued by Yuu's perception.
“Well, first, confirming the typical things for this era. Then your name and your profession and the way you acted during the incident, William. It felt like you had not a single drop of fear within you. Also, the fact that you are a well-known figure in the future…” Yuu tried to put all the puzzle pieces together. “Then… it seems it all confirms now that we are truly lost in a bygone era,” the words flowed freely from her as she spoke her mind freely contemplating the possibilities.
“And what would you do if this were true?” William asked with a smirk, his tone laced with intrigue.
The room fell into a tense silence, holding its breath as the conversation between Yuu and William took center stage, capturing everyone's attention.
Yuu, trying to compose herself and find the right words, spoke “Well, this adds a certain allure to our adventure.”
“Allure? Adventure?” William`s face was adorned with a grin. “Most of the people would be frightened.”
“My honest opinion is that I don’t sense any bad intentions from you or your brothers, and you've shown us kindness. I always follow my gut feeling. Kindness has to be repaid by kindness; I don’t know as of yet how I will return the favor, but I do plan to do my best. Plus, I am not a god to judge others, and I believe that in what you do, there has to be some sort of explanation and… I want to understand. I believe in what my eyes see. I am a historian who likes to unravel mysteries, and I see one mystery in front of my eyes, which intrigues me.” Yuu's voice was full of confidence as she looked straight into William's eyes.
As their gazes met, William cracked a soft smile and said, “You are really one unconventional lady.” He sensed honesty in Yuu's words and tone, feeling interested in the way she was thinking.
Victor, feeling the tension in the room, said, “I am sorry for my sister and her straightforwardness.”
Victor, feeling the tension in the room, interrupted, “I am sorry for my sister and her straightforwardness.”
“No need to be sorry. We value openness. And she is absolutely right,” William said, then approached Albert and Louis, putting his hands on both of his brothers' shoulders. “All of us together, we are the Lord of Crime,” he declared with a grin.
Victor's confusion was palpable as he hadn't anticipated this outcome. One of the most famous figures in England’s criminal history stood before him, while Yuu appeared unfazed but satisfied that her guess was correct.
“What do you plan on doing with this information?” Albert inquired, a glint in his eyes.
“Will you call the police?” Louis chimed in, wearing a wry smile.
