Back at college, first session of lectures has ended and since Daniella has no more classes, she heads out to get home. As she gets to her bikes, she finds graphite written on it.

As she turns she sees, Mary with a gang of people coming next to her.

“Who amongst you did this to my bike?” they all laugh out as her question seems like a joke. They are many in number around thirteen with Mary inclusive.

“Boys teach her a lesson for me.” Commands Mary as she sits on the car nearby.  

Jacob and miles are following Daniella to apologise about yesterday, stand as they watch what is going on. They have spent that entire day avoiding Mary just as Ray had warned them to. But now here they are. They watch as the goons advance towards Daniella and they walk towards them as well.

Daniella looks around her and the number is not to her advantage. She takes a step back and her leg steps on the pipe in the grass.  She turns and it is a water pipe, which she picks up, and a smile forms on her face.

The first guy that gets close to her gets hit in the stomach with the water pipe and he lands on the ground.

“ahhhhhhhh, fucking bitch” he cries out loud

“Get her, you assholes,” in pain he shouts and three of them charge to her. One throws her a punch that she avoids and slides down tripping him with the water pipe and he lands down.

The other throws her a kick which she steps back to avoid. The other two who are down also stand up. They all charge at her but before they get to her, Jacob grabs the water pipe from her and throws it at the leader of the gang and it breaks his nose.

“That is no way to treat a lady pricks.” A clapping Miles comes from behind Daniella and looks at her with smile. He turns and looks at the guys with an angry face.

“I knew you two had betrayed me because of that bitch, now I will teach you all a lesson,” says Mary in anger, as she throws down her bag.

“How can we betray you when we were not friends to begin with” say Jacobs as he laugh at Mary.

“Get them…” the leader shouts while holding his bleeding nose. They all charge at the three, but this combo is not one to be pinned down so easily.

The fight escalates and Daniella can’t stop thinking to herself why they are helping. Miles seems to figure that out and as their backs face each other, waiting for the next opponent, their heads face each other’s ears.

“Why are you helping? I thought you were on the same team as her.” Questions Daniella as she goes ahead to punch a guy in the face and sends him a flying kick, her tactics seem to be the same as the one Miles uses to send his guy flying too and their backs face again.

“This is us trying to stay out of trouble. We were told to stay out of trouble, and the person that ordered is so scary when he is pissed.” Smirks Miles as he says that and Jacob joins the conversation.

“He is so scary that you almost have the same look like he does when pissed off” Jacob states and he heads in for a head butt with the leader of the gang he happens to be among the last three standing.

Daniella stands on the side, watching the fight as she catches her breathe. She spots a guy raising a baseball bat to hit Miles, she jumps in and punches the guy so hard that he lands on the ground.

Miles nods to her in thanks, and she nods back. They hit the gang until they are all on the ground. 

“That someone must be hard to handle,” says Daniella as they all laugh it out and finish the fight. By the time they are done Mary is nowhere to be seen.

“Thanks for the help,” Daniella thanks them but they all wave to her showing its nothing. She moves to her bike to clean it, but the paint is too dry to come off.

“We could give you a lift Daniella,” says Jacobs with a simple smile. She looks at Miles who nods a yes to her.

“It’s okay, I can call someone to pick me up, thanks anyway,” she says as she pulls out the phone.

“We could be heading in the same direction, we could drop you off,” says Miles with an insisting face. Daniella finds that funny and laughs out.

“Is that a convincing face? Hahahah” she laughs more as the guys laugh together with her.

“This is me trying to bribe you. If any question arise you could maybe help be a witness when they call us off to disciplinary” Miles states  while looking at Daniella who raises her left brow at him with a questioning face.

“What he means is this was our last chance before we are given a forced semester off as disciplinary. Mary has caused us trouble the past one year and the reputation came haunting as back,” says Jacob as he passes his hands through his face with worry and annoyance combined.

Daniella, does not ask more about it. She accepts since it will not hurt to get a ride. 
They lead the way and she follows. She puts her location into the GPS and Jacob starts the car drive. The car is silent as everyone is exhausted from the fight.

10 minutes into the journey, Miles plays the radio and he starts humming to the song, ’what do I know by Ed sheeran’ it no surprise when Jacob joins the humming and they are all into the song. A few seconds into the song and Daniella is singing out a loud and they enjoy the song as they continue.

As they get to the location, Jacob and Miles look at each other. This is the Jameson mansion and only a few people get chance to enter it.

“Is this where you stay?” asks Miles as they both turn to look at her.

“Yes, my grandma stays here.” She says as she removes her seat belt and opens the door.

“Thanks for the ride and thanks for earlier.” She says as she smiles at them. They wave to her as she heads towards the gate.

“I think her grandma is a nanny. If that is true, then it all makes sense now.”

“And if not, then none of this makes senses.” Says Jacob as they both nod in agreement.

As Daniella moves closer to the gate, a gunshot is heard. Jacob and Miles freeze, as they see Daniella fall to the ground. They rush out of the car, running towards Daniella whose vision is becoming blurry.

The gate opens and Peter comes rushing out and Daniella is on the ground. Everyone is in panic and Daniella is seeing everything move in slow motion at the moment.

Miles gets to her first and carries her very fast and he heads to the car as Jacob starts the car, while Peter picks his phone to make phone calls. Everyone is in panic at the moment.

“Call Ray Miles, Call Dion dude, call him,” shouts Jacob and it’s the last thing Daniella hears and losses consciousness.

Miles makes the phone call which  Ray picks up immediately.

“Ray, someone has been shot at the Jameson’s, we are heading to the hospital.”

“No Miles, head to base, it is safer there.” Says Ray who hangs up the phone.

“Head to base Jacob, it’s an order.”

“Roger that” replies Jacob as his foot presses the gas puddle more. Daniella is losing a lot of blood and it by the grace of God that she will make it.

At the Dion Mansion

 “Who shot her?” Ray ask in a rough silky deep tone filled with anger, jaws tight, with hands placed on the table in the meeting room and blood on his face. Daniella was rushed into the Dion mansion that is well equipped with medical supplies.

Ray could not work on her, because he was seeing blue when Daniella was rushed in with a chest gun shot. Luckily enough, the gunshot missed her heart. Johns started to operate on her with the help of Jacob, since they always treat the mafia family members when Ray is not around.

They rushed her here believing Ray could work on her. However, they were all shocked when Ray froze on seeing Daniella. He watched as they operated on her and came in after settling his mind and managed to pull off the operation.

He left the operation room with her blood in his hand, clothes and face straight to the meeting room. He pushed the door open and everyone in the meeting room stood up looking at him filled with anger.

“I asked a fucking question, who-the-Fuck-shot-Her?” Ray repeats the question slowly with emphasis and anger in his tone. Everyone in the room has seen Ray Dion angry but not to this extent.

“Boss, I went back to the scene and the bullet shell I fought was for a Barrett XM109, and only one-person imports those. Santos Junior,” Paul says as he hands him the bullet shell in glass bottle.

“They finally found her and decided to eliminate.” Says Johns with his hands crossed. Not everyone in the room know what’s going on

“Aaaaaaaaaa, hahahahahahahahahah.” Shouts Ray in frustration. Everyone is now on edge because this kind of anger has not been seen in a long time, it was last seen when David died.

“Get me every person that is connected to Santos junior and Poland Calmat. They will now understand what it means if you mess with a person under my protection.” Ray clenches his fists and hits the table until his hand is bruised and almost bleeding.

Johns holds his shoulder tight and he stops. He moves out of the meeting room, heads to the washroom cleans himself up, he heads to his office and makes a phone call. 

“Tim, we have a problem. Its Daniella, you need to fly in, it’s urgent.” He says that and puts down the phone. He sits on his office chair and leans back with eyes closed. He stays in the position for 10 minutes and finally opens his eyes.

He sends a text to Miles and tells him to come up with Jacob, Johns and Paul. He stands up and heads to the couch in his office with a glass of whisky and crosses his legs.

Minutes later the four of them entered and seat. They all look at him. His eyes narrowed to the glass his holding, pressing it until it breaks in his hand.

Miles rushes and gets the first aid kit and dresses his brother’s hand, who shows no pain but anger and frustration. Miles takes back the kit and seats. Ray uncrosses his legs and stands up with Silence in the room. He walks towards the wall and leans against it looking at everyone.
