Liam always hoped he would present as an alpha or even beta, but he ended up being an omega. Two years after he figured out his subgender he was still mad at Mother Nature for doing this to him. You might be asking why he hated it so much? Well the answer is easy: being an omega sucks, being a male omega sucks even more.

Why? Society was never nice to omegas to begin with, the laws have gotten more progressive over the years, but omegas were still mistreated, disrespected and discriminated aginst. They had a hard time finding a job, because a lot of workplaces didn't want to deal with their heat, the possibility of them getting pregnant didn't help either and of course, there were people who just thought they were weak and good-for-nothing. This wasn't the only problem, people would say disrispectful things outside of work as well, they didn't feel the need to treat omegas with human decency, because they were the weakest of the three subgenders. On the top of all that alphas would often take advantage of omegas in heat, and if they got pragnent whitout being mated or married they become an outcast. There were horrorstories of omegas who were mated to an abusive man and possibly a rapist until they died to avoid losing everything they loved. Forceful mate bonds were punishable by law, but the victims ofthetimes couldn't afford a good lawyer. Of course there were omegas who were happily married and carried the children of the one they loved the most, things weren't completly hopless, but it was still hard to get a happy ending.

Being a male omega had some extra challanges. They were the one of the worst treated minorities. A lots of people didn't look at them as they did at other men, in their eyes they weren't real men, because of their womb. Others saw them less than women as well given the fact that they needed c-sections, natural birth wasn't a possibility. Many male omegas struggled with the thought of having another man's child, so they tried to mate with female alpha instead. Society didn't like that, they thought male omegas should stay at home and give life to as many babies as possible. The ones who had relationships with men faced some problems others didn't. There were old people who looked at them as a curse, because their existence made it possible for two men to have children of their own. Others thought a gay relationship was acceptable as long as it was fruitful.  However the biggest problem had to be the fact that society looked up to alpha males who made an omega male pragnent, but looked down on the omega for being so submassive. Double standerds have always been strong with this one.

Liam cried alot when he found out his subgender, he even considered taking his own life, but he was too scared from death to do it. He had great friends who tried to cheer him up and they didn't think any less of him after they found out what he was. He was also thankful for his family, who were supportive of him even after he told them he wants to have children with a man. He was unconfortable with his uterus first, but he grew to love it, mostly because he was gay and this way he could have biological kids. The thought of pregnancy freaked him out a little bit, it wasn't easy afterall, but the thought of holding his alpha's babies in his arms made him think it was worth the pain. As much as he wanted to be a parent he wanted to avoid accidents, so he made sure to use suppressants when in heat, and he tried his best to stay away from players.

It was Friday night and Liam was getting ready for Luca's party. Luca and him have been friends since kindergarten, they both liked music and theater, an omega boy being a theater kid was no surprise, an alpha on the other hand now that was something. Yes Luca was an alpha, he was strong, confident and handsome, his blond locks, jade green eyes and muscular body made the girls stare at him all the time. Despite being an alpha Luca was never agressive or arrogant, he was a sweetheart and very protective of his loved ones. Liam was really excited to see his friends and get a break from studying, he could also meet new peole there, who knows maybe he finds his new mate at the party. He wanted to look as good as he could, so he was searching for the perfect outfit for the third time that day in hopes of attracting somebody. Sure he wanted to be careful, but he was a teenage boy with dirty thoghts and feelings. He finally found what he wanted to wear and got dressed. He looked at himself in the mirror and smiled, his honey brown eyes sparkled with exciment, his strawberry blond hair looked less messy than usual and the all black attire seemed to be a good choice.  Whit that he grabbed his jacket, put his shoes on and went to Luca's house.

This is going to be great- he thought- maybe I can get a boyfriend before graduation. Little did he know that night would change his entire life...

I don't know what possessed me to write this, but I hope it isn't that bad. I know this chapter is pretty uneventful, but I wanted to do some more worldbuilding and give an insight of omega problems. Englis is not my first language and this is the first time I tried to write omegaverse, so please be patient with me.
