Six days. Worker Who was working six days a week in a sewers job under the city, while covered in an closed-up air, and the smell of motor oil, along with the uncomfortable humidity and cold from under the glowing articial lights, stuck to the roof of the concrete tunnel, fixed with cables and wires so that they would sit still and not move.

Every day, Worker Who would do different "tasks" as they called them. One day, he would incinerate the trash in an massive industrial bin, just like ripped clothes, plastic forks, cups, knifes, anything that would be trash, they threw them in there, but he had to move the trash inside it, and stop it and start it a few times, because the incinerator was very old and barely working.

On other days, Lou Who, would make food for the other workers. Sunday was the most waited day, because they could watch TV all they wanted, and play society games to cure the boredom, since it was their only free day off-work.

A worker goes up to Who Lou, and asks him

"Aaaah (grunts) (sits down near him) Christmas is approaching, what are you getting your kids, Lou?"

"(Bites sandwitch) For my Damian, I was thinking that cool new headset (looks at the other worker and widens his eyes, showing with his free hand, different movements around his head for context), you know, the one that you can take with you anywhere"

"Oooh, the one that has no cable, expensive, brand new and pocket emptying one?"

Asked the worker with a slight chuckle.

"Yes (chews sandwich with mouth closed and opens it just to take one words out), that one"

Responded Who Loud, unbotheredly, looking around the slightly lighted tunnel.

"It means that you're making (widens eyes and carves a long smile on his face, extending out his hands) a bank out there, at your workplace (laughs histerically)"

Lou chuckled and replied to him with a small commentary

"Dust, cold and store-bought sandwitches, where else could you get those three in a combination, Pop"

"I'll better get going to fix the lighting again, that damn thing always gets put out of connection somehow, later, Who"

Said Pop, packing up his things and cleaning the rest of the food from the ground and on the edge of the train-way, where they were sitting.

He jumped down, wiped the dust off his pants, and waved at Who in sign of goodbye, and both headed their way.

"Later, Pop" replied worker Who.

They slept, showered, ate, drinked, and worked underground. It's a massive association behind all this. The more the tunnels that have to be repaired, and the less they pay us, it's better for them. No one really cared about Who and the others. Most of them didn't had study papers, to go anywhere they wanted to work, so in the tunnels, where the trains are going through, is the place where Who and the others barely found a place to work, due to the most men not having where to work.

Worker Who is divorced and now his son lives with him, in the city, while his wife, and the boy's mother

Their only entertainment, after the hours of work, are the chess games, old news papers and some society games. Friday night board games with the workers are quite fun acually, he cannot lie about that.

Suddenly, the emergency alarm, has yelled out loud in the whole tunnel, activating the red emergency, fainting lights too.

Then a scream was heard from deep in the tunnel... it was Pop, is what Who Lou thought. In a matter of a second, he threw what was in his hand and ran towards the place from which the scream was heard.

On arrival, he saw Pop stuck between two rocks which looked like they fell off the concrete roof, because there was a small hole right on top of them. His leg was fixated between two massive concrete pieces and blood was gushing out from under the concrete pieces that blocked his leg from moving. Pop was sitting on the ground, with his other leg threw aside, while grunting his mouth and eyes, inhaling shakily through his nose, trying to make himself to look though, so Who wouldn't think that he is a soft pillow. Rubbing the top of his leg, he felt a massive discomfort inside him that would not go away.

"What was that?!"
Exclaimed Who, looking towards the other side of the tunnel, barely lighted. Being lighted up only a few seconds, because the red lights faint into darkness and have a cooldown of two seconds before doing the cycle again.

"I don't know but it sure was nothing good"

Widening his eyes, Who Lou tried to get Pop's leg out of the concrete pieces, but each slight flinch was a hell of a pain for Pop.

He slowly grabbed Who by his hoodie and told him

"Go, now, you don't have enough time"

"I'm not leaving you here"

"GO!"
He screamed, knowing that would be the only thing that would make Loud move.

"I'll go get some help, then come back, until then don't run away, okay?"

For that joke, Pop let out a slight chuckle, while firmly holding his mouth closed.

Who Loud hurried himself out of the tunnel, towards the main station's "safe zone" as they called him. A small placement near the main tunnel for the train, where they would sit when there was work to be done. He jumped up on the stairs, which were protected by a few rusty, iron bars at the edge.. He opened the door iron door, and was close to enter the main station's hallways, but not before he saw a deformed, long, thin and white body. He couldn't see nothing clear from that far away, but the color red was making it more uncanny to look at, and too disturbing, with the silence. Worker Who only knew that the entity turned it's look towards him, put itself in four legs, used it's high pitched voice to groan an eerie and uncanny sound, which caused panick to attack Who's soul.

Suddenly, the entity started running towards Who Loud. He was frozen in place, not knowing what are those entities there and what are they doing 90 meters inside the ground, at freezing temperatures.

Cold sweats were falling from his forehead and his palms too, more slippery like ice.

He ran throught the concrete hall with the red colored alarms going off, pulsating from bright red to darkness. 

It was a total chaos, he ran into another hall, where the light didn't get all the way to the other side of it, only the start point, but right when he wanted to go throught it, there he heard  a close scream, scaring him even more. It was a worker being followed by tens of those entities, taking out ominous and high pitch uncanny noises. Who tried to get away from the sound, turning around and trying to unlock every door in his way, but none of them were opening. Now more agitated than ever, he could feel the fear through his skin, not knowing when one of those entities would jump on his back and eat him.

The good and bright lights went out totally, maybe an power outtage, which caused all the electricity to go out. Only the emergency red blinking lights were working now. Succeding in finding a good door, he quickly went inside and slightly closed the door to not make any possible sounds. Inside, it was pitch darkness, he couldn't see anything so that is when his pocket  flashlight, tall as a shampoo bottle came in clutch. Finding the good button to turn it on in the darkness, Lou looked around the room that he was, and he realized that it was just a normal room for a man working underground: A wooden bench and seat, concrete floor, an slightly elevated bed with a pillow and blanket and emergency flares that were all almost taken, but only one remained which he took it and put it in his pocket.

Who Lou saw the only way out, instead of the door, which was the vents, covered with metal bars. Pushing the desk underneath it, and climbing it slowly, he took the metal protection from the vents, down, and jumped himself inside, pulling up his bodyweight. Inside the vents that could barely hold him, there was nothing but darkness, Who took out his flashlight, breathing shakily, not knowing what was there, but a feeling calmed him after he turned the flashlight on and nothing was there.

Crawling in the vents where he stumbled only upon cobweb and dust, he suddenly heard eerie and flesh ripping noises, along with someone's screaming, someone he knew. He had to continue crawling in the vent until he would get to a safe place, which would be he generator zone. Looking down through the small window, blocked with thin metal bars, he saw the generator room, which was a room with a mechanical device out of iron, lots of pipes and patches of metal put all over the thick pipes, there was his friend, Yargo, only Yargo because he didn't know his whole name, only that.

Worker Who decided to call out his friend, but in a quiet voice

"Psst, Yargo, Yargo!"

Yargo looked up, very quickly, not knowing who or from where he heard the voice. Looking up at the vent, he narrowed his eyes, trying to think who the person from inside the vent is.

"Lou!"
He whispered back in a raspy voice.

Who Lou took off the metal protection and went inside the concrete room.

He asked Yargo what he was doing there, and why didn't he use his all-work key to get out through the emergency exit.

"Those sons of... forget it, I've told the president about the incident, and he told me one last mission, with which I could save countless of lives and an epidemic from getting out"

"Wait... what do you mean by all that, epidemic, blowing up the WHOLE station?"

"Those things came from underground, nobody knows when and nobody knows how and why, but I only know that we can't let them out of here"

"But, Yargo! We are fifty feet underground, if you decide to explode the generators, outside, there will be a total distruction!"

"I know you are worried, Who Lou, but that is why I can do this alone too, you take this"

Yargo gave him a wide key that looked more like a key-card, but it wasn't, it was a metal key with strategically missing places, in a symmetrical way, that could open any door, even if the lights are off.

"Come with me, Yargo, we have to go, those things will be any minute!"
Yelled Worker Who, out loud

"It will be fine, look, these walls are 25 meters thick, filled with cement! Do you think a generator explosion would destroy something like this? It could barely crack through the first 10 meters, maybe, but that only in emergency scenarios"

"The walls are filled with the length of almost a meter worth of cement, Yargo..."

"Wait... what?"

Who Loud approached the wall behind Yargo and slammed it as hard as he could with his flashlight a few times, revealing dirt from underneath the cement, then showing the dirt to Yargo, just like a trophy.

"Oh my... I can't believe it, I almost did a horrifying thing... Lou, we have to get out of here"

"I told you so"

Suddenly, loud thuds came from outside the metal door, with every hit in the door bending the metal material.

"We don't have that much time!"

Exclaimed Lou, showing him the vent

They helped each other climb up the vent that was almost stuck to the ceiling, and started crawling all the way to the room where was the bunker, good thing Yargo knew the way even in the darkness

"I helped building this place, I can feel the way that it's placed that we are getting closer and closer to the bunker"
Explained Yargo

Opening the metal protector, they both jumped off from the vents.

Now in front of the last door, which was a thick, metal door.

Who Lou took the key and put it inside the space that was reserved for it.

Outside, they found themselves in the middle of the night, with no light at all, only the natural and white light from the floating moon.

Running through the forest, they hurried themselves towards the closest city, that was 2 kilometers away.

From behind them, right outside the bunker's door, there were high pitch screeches and eerie noises coming from the entities, ready to hunt Yargo and Worker Who, down.
