It was the old and rusty sink that gave the modest old man, the motive to continue on.
Three month ago, he bought an sink from an website, since he needed to have the current one replaced, but later on, he decided to buy it from the store, and not online. After he bought it, the modest old man took it home in a cardboard packed box. He opened it, mounted it himself, but it didn't work at first, for some unkown reason.
For another strange reason, the pipes that got connected to the sink, instantly corrodated and gained rust all over, getting eaten by the "metal-disease" in a quick-paced way. Because of this, the water was flowing out on the kitchen floor tiles. For any normal human being, it would annoy the melons out of them, but the modest old man started humming a song, while joyfuly changing the pipes entirely and cleaning the water that was drenching the floor tiles with a dry and thick napkin that was being used specially for occations like these. Luckily, he knew his way around something like that, as a plumber himself, that was nothing that he couldn't solve. He started humming a song that his mother sang him when he was little, and which meant the world to him, because he took it as a permanent gift that couldn't be taken away from him, nor lose it, it was staying with him as much as he wanted.
After fixing the pipes entirely, the modest old man started dressing up for a night out in town with his friends, where they would drink cold beer and hot wine in a cold winter night, and talk for hours, but right before he decided to call up their group, from inside the sink, humms started being heard, and strangely, it was the same song that the modest old man sang while repairing her.
-Whaaa---! -exclaimed the old man shocked, slowly gathering himself towards the sink, in a slow paced movement.
After the modest old man entered the room, the sink quickly stopped humming, after seeing his arrival.
The man gently put his palm on the ceramic surface on the sink and asked her to do it again, with a slow and slightly amazed voice.
But the sink didn't do as the man said.
After the night out, tired and drunk as he was, the old man started humming the same song again, while walking towards the sink, seeing if she would do it again.
The sink did it, which made the old man smile in a big way, carving a massive smirk on his face, along with the increase of his eyebrows.
They started humming in unison, then both continued to whistle the song, which created a harmony of sounds.
Suddenly, from inside the sink, brown water gurgled toward the surface.
-Hm? Are you trying to say something?
Asked the old man, while slowly approaching his ears towards the interior of the sink.
-S-...a-r..ah.
Deducted the old man, carefuly listening to the way the sink gurgled, thinking the words out with close precision.
The sink gurgled once more that created a brown bubble that increased in size in a few seconds, then popped in a sudden moment, which the old man thought that was an yes.
-I am Kite Roy
The old man closely listened to the gurgles of the sink again
-N-i-c... m-e-e-t, y..-u
Kite smiled once more, checked the watch on his hand, put his hands on his head out of shock and quickly headed towards the bed,
-See you tomorrow, Sarah
Said the old man, turning off the lights of the kitchen.
The next day, Sarah had the surface filled with water until the limit, barely holding all that liquid within the ceramic edges.
-Sarah, you are drowning! -exclaimed the old man panicked
The old man took the pipes off again, and emptied all the water inside a bucket, almost a full of it, but the inner pipes were too damaged, and the model was too old, he could not find anything like those quite soon, because it was out of stock.
-T...han-k... y-o..u.. -gurgled Sarah within a few last bubbles mixed with soapy liquid.
Be prepared for a special ride in the medieval plains, an intense horror frog festival, but what about the world of cyberpunk 2088 where plants are more expensive than diamonds and gold?
