2-The school trip p.1
Carson's pov
The morning has come and I'm already so excited, so much that it doesn't bother me that we had to wake up at 6.
Besides, I'm kinda a morning person.
Well, while I am excited Cayden he's less so.
He's still grumpy from getting up early. Seriously he and I couldn't be any different, are we even twins?
My family and have just arrived at school minus my sister Nora.
There, there's a big bus waiting with the morning sun hitting brightly on it.
It's only 7:30 am but it's already crowded with students and parents dropping their children and telling their goodbyes just like our dads.
We get out of the car and our dad hands us each of our bags, Cayden's and mine.
"Don't forget to watch for your brother Cayden and don't forget to text me." My papa warns my brother.
"Yeah, yeah I will." He says uninterested.
"And you too Carson, remember what I told you this morning?" He asks knowedly and I nod.
This morning there was a huge argument between my papa and Cayden and he asked me a favour about it.
Turns out my dads caught Cayden smoking and they don't want him to smoke, even less so on the trip, so they want me to keep an eye out for him and report if there's anything.
"Yes, I'll do my best."
"And you'll let me know when you two arrive?" My dad asks worried.
"Yes," My brother says annoyed.
"Good"
"And Cayden don't forget what we've told you."My dad warns my brother and he rolls his eyes.
"Leave him alone. He's almost 16, he's a grown boy he can take care of himself same thing for Carson. I'm sure you've already told them like 3 times." My dad tells my papa and to my surprise, my papa agrees.
"Right, I tend to forget you're no longer babies." My papa says mesmerized and he's about to be emotional but my brother wants none of it.
"Papa, that's creepy. Stop that." My brother Cayden says disgusted and annoyed.
"Ok, ok, you can go now, but I'll miss you two."
"Me too!" I exclaim excitedly and I hug my papa before leaving, Cayden does not. No surprise there.
"Have a nice trip." My dad says.
"Bye"
We start to get on the bus and we wave back at our dads and they do too.
"Finally, they're off our backs, we're almost 16 damnit, it's so annoying." My brother complains and I disagree.
"Don't be like that. You know that papa means well." He rolls his eyes and then suddenly he is accompanied by his girlfriend.
Suddenly his personality does a 360.
"Hey, babe," He smiles and kisses her.
And I lost my brother.
Oh well, I'm used to this.
I leave my brother with his girlfriend and I get on the bus.

Emerick's pov
Ugh, whose stupid idea was it to make us wake up at 6 and leave before 8?
It's even worse when you have a big family that makes a lot of noise in the morning.
Regardless of how annoying it is, my family and I just arrived at school.
I get out of the car.
"Oh hijo, look at you all grown up." My mom says all proud and that embarrasses me a bit.
"Mamà, I'm 15 of course I'm getting older."
"I know but I just can't help it."
She hugs me and I let her.
As we hug we hear my sisters yelling in the car. Ah yes, sisters of 4 and 3.
I pull away from the car and open the door of the back door.
"What's wrong?" I ask confused.
"Emerick is hugging mamá!" The oldest of the two makes fun of me and I blush a bit embarrassed.
"Oh stop it, it's just a hug," I say and she chuckles and my other sister joins the laughter.
"OK, I think you have to go. It seems like you are a bit late, Emerick." My mom says.
"Right, bye girls," I say and wave at them and I also wave to my baby brother in the middle as I close the car door and my sisters wave back.
I take my bag and I say goodbye to my mom one last time and I head for the bus.
Indeed as soon as I get in, I notice there's almost no space left and that instantly puts me in a bad mood.
I try to find a place in the far back as everyone looks at me expectantly but I don't find one.
Ugh, how awkward. I walk in the row looking for an empty seat and all eyes are on me which makes me uncomfortable.
It takes a while to find an empty seat and when I do I realize there's only one space left and it's next to one of Cayden's friends, Justin. Great, just great.
He looks at me intensely while I sit down next to him uneasy.
I hope he'll leave me alone because if he doesn't I'll seriously start to question why I agreed to come on this trip.
———————-
After a few hours on the road earlier today, we arrived at our destinations and already we've done quite a lot for the first day.
I can't say it was anything close to spectacular but it was cool.
We've also eaten dinner at a big buffet and now we've arrived at our destination for the night which is the part I've been dreading the most.
It seems like it's a big camping camp filled with cabins made of wood all lined up next to each other. Wait, how...? Did the school rent all this?
Oh, whatever, it's not like I should complain about this.
As they've been doing so the whole trip already, the teachers give us guidelines. Also, apparently, after we put our stuff in our respective cabins, there'll be a big campfire at the center of the campsite hosted by the teachers.
After the guidelines, the teachers hand us all of our keys and as soon as I get mine I head straight to the cabin without waiting for Carson.
So naturally I get there first.
As I unlock the door to our wood cabin, I am met by a surprisingly well-decorated cabin.
Well, I wasn't expecting that.
The beds are pre-made and it's nicely decorated with a window in the middle.
I look around and notice we actually have our own bathroom in the cabin. Huh, no public washroom it seems, neat.
I don't recall the teachers mentioning that.
But seriously where are they getting that kind of money? Did we just hit the jackpot?
I put my bag on the bed on the left next to the window and then I hear the door unlock which reveals the guy with glasses, Carson.
As soon as he notices me he smiles at me and I already have a bad feeling about this.
So before he can think of anything, I decide to immediately put up some ground rules.
"Look since we'll be sharing this cabin for the next two days, let's up some ground rules."
"Ok!" He smiles too brightly for it to be normal.
Seeing him smiling at me like that makes me uneasy and I hurry to put an end to that smile.
"First rule, don't talk to me unless it's an emergency." His smile drops.
Ok maybe I went a bit too far with that but he needed to hear that first, I have no such intentions to talk to him.
"Ok..." He agreed recently.
Good, he understood, already I'm more at ease but if he already doesn't like my first rules, he won't like my other rules.
"Second rule, don't bother me when I'm reading." That will be basically the entire time we'll be here lol.
"Ok..." He says a lot more down.
"Third rule, I always take my shower first."
"Ok..." He agrees immediately but with a down mood.
Why does he agree to everything so easily?
"And last rule, don't touch my stuff."
"Ok..." He says with a sad tone.
"Have anything to add?" I say curly and he flinches.
"No...um actually yes. Does it bother you if I call my parents tonight and tomorrow?" He suddenly asks cautiously which surprises me.
"I brought headphones so it's fine," I say unbothered and that seems to relieve him.
"Nothing else?" I ask expectantly.
"No..." He says with an uneasy small voice.
"Well, then we're settled now," I say and I release a breath of relief.
He seems to have understood because right after he puts his bag on the other bed, he leaves without uttering a word.
I guess he left for the campfire thing. I surely won't go, it sounds lame.
But still...I'm still surprised he agreed like an obedient dog...
Though, it's not like I should care about that. Thanks to that I get to have a moment of silence. This trip won't be so bad after all.
