“Hello!!You’ve been invited to Jules’s birthday! Come to my house on Saturday around 9 pm, dress your best! Eager to see you there.
Signed: Jules”
I can’t believe he invited me to that party! I must be particularly important to him, right? I keep calling Avery repeatedly, wanting to let her know about my situation. Of course, she got bored, but I still like saying that! Because if I didn’t, I probably would have exploded! So, I can hear you thinking “Nora, you’re obviously in love, you don’t have to keep repeating that! Plus, you don’t want him to tear you apart, isn’t it obvious...” Yeah, I must admit you’re right, but it’s not like I can help it.
So now I’m getting crazy, talking to my own diary, doing nothing in my days except reading that stupid letter. I should eat. But I don’t feel like it.
- So, Nora, ready for supper? Asks my grandmother as she steps into my room, her grey hair tied in a bun
I nod and smile at her, getting out of my room. I’m jumping around, sitting on the edge on my bed as my father brings me a plate of spaghetti.
- Here you go.... he says as I eagerly grab my meal
I start eating, sometimes exchanging words with my grandparents, not thinking about anything but the party.

Tied up my tight black dress, I’m getting ready to go. My dress might be slightly revealing, I don’t care. He said I should dress my best, okay, okay. But let me get this straight: I’ll be the best at that party.
- Come on, Nora, you don’t want to waste that time of your life! exclaims my father as I rush into the car, struggling with my heels.
In the car, I’m balancing my legs side to side, replacing my long, brown hair. I’m too excited to remain seated.
- So, are you sure you want to dress that way tonight, Nor-Nor? Asks my father as he glances at me from his mirror side
- I mean, it’s too late to change, right? I respond rhetorically as I step out of the car, waving to my father as I head inside.
Right now, tonight, Jule’s house is noisy, colorful did not expect Jules waiting for me at the doorway, but I consider that as a good thing.
- Nora, here you are! Ah, I like that dress! Come on, let’s get this party started! he chuckles as he grabs my hand, leading me into the house
Full. That’s the word coming to my mind. There is about the number of people than there is at school usually. But in a less big place.

A while ago, I’m leaning my left elbow on the top of the counter, taking sips of beers from time to time, glancing at everybody. Tonight, I danced. Tonight, I played dares. But now, all I feel like doing is chilling. Jules. I’m so in love with him. I’m in love with his dreamy blue eyes, his blonde hair, I’m in love with him.
As I keep staring at him lovingly, I feel something on my shoulder. Innocently, I glance over, but suddenly, all becomes dark. A familiar sensation. A blurred vision. Weird sensations. As I’m wondering about what’s going on, I feel like going in a trance, a I fall into a deep, deep sleep....
