Ovgust rushed out of the laundry room, shouting:
— N-never mind!
His face a vivid crimson, akin to a lobster scalded in boiling water. What a fiasco! A veritable nightmare! Ducking around the corner, he finally realized he was clutching something massive and fluffy in his trembling hand. In his haste, he had grabbed it! Upon closer inspection, the fluff turned out to be a white robe, emanating a faint odor of omega. The robe, with its oversized dimensions, seemed more suited for an alpha. Ovgust grimaced in displeasure. He paused, scowled, and hastily wrapped himself in the malodorous robe. After all, he had no choice—it was hardly appropriate to stroll through the mansion in nothing but a black lace peignoir! Slyly glancing around, he quickly strode along the plush carpet, hoping to locate his room as swiftly as possible. The operation to seduce Mr. Etienne had failed... for now! Ovgust had no intention of backing down. But where on earth were those infernal guest rooms?!
Etienne was methodically sinking into despair. He reviewed the grooms' cards, sniffed at each one in hope and threw them on the table in disappointment. Even the photographs of club members delivered to him that morning, he had sniffed twice over. Not right. None of them were right! Outside, someone occasionally made noise, and people scurried through the corridors, but Etienne paid no attention, attributing it all to the arrival of distinguished guests. For the first week, grandfather approached the issue subtly – he sent one omega a day, but it seems that he realized that such a pastime could last for several years.
Etienne glanced sourly at the antique clock with its round, golden dial: almost five o'clock. It was time to prepare for dinner, lest he be late. But as soon as he stepped out into the hallway, he was assaulted by a variety of scents. It has been many years since the house was filled with such a variety. He sniffed, shielding his eyes and distinguishing the aromas. Suddenly, his heart raced—he was here. The one! Alpha swiftly moved through the corridor, greedily sniffing and following the trail. Excitement gripped the young man, his eyes sparkling. That scent! Perfect! He was here! Here, in his house! And he's not going anywhere else! Etienne broke into a run, driven by instinct, delighting in the exquisite scent of his future husband. Slightly tangy. Delicate. Herbal. And virginal. So sweet!
Descending the grand staircase to the ground floor, Etienne paid no heed to the staff or the few elderly guests who had presumably arrived to support their wealthy young omegas. He briskly traversed the expansive hall, exited into a corridor adorned with elegant vases on round wooden tables, and halted with dissatisfaction—the scent was dissipating. Far too many people had trodden here! Etienne clicked his tongue in irritation. No, he would not let his quarry slip away! He spun around in the corridor, tracking the trail. Dropping to his hands and knees, he crawled under the rug, sniffed at a table that presented itself, and seized a vase. There it was! A trace, albeit faint! Sensing the scent intensify, he sprang to another vase, grasping it. Suddenly, he raised his head, sharply detecting the longed-for aroma—a young omega in a large white robe had stepped into the corridor. Light hair, a pretty face, and that incredibly delectable fragrance! At last!
Ovgust cautiously traversed the corridor, his progress impeded by the labyrinthine layout of the guest room. The elusive chamber persistently eluded his gaze. With a haughty demeanor, he disregarded the staff, recalling his recent escapades. It was not due to any topographical ineptitude on his part—the house itself was confoundingly intricate. Moreover, the profusion of scents made it impossible to discern his own! And the omega's sense of smell was not so developed compared to the alphas. Hastily descending the staircase, Ovgust entered a resplendent hallway adorned with exquisite, bespoke vases on wooden tables. Yet, it was not these opulent displays that caught his eye, but someone else: alpha. Ovgust recognized him instantly. He realized that a photograph could never capture the full splendor, fervor, and strength emanating from this male. True, alpha appeared somewhat disheveled, with feverish, burning eyes and two vases in his grasp, but Ovgust couldn't help but admire the future spouse's striking appearance. Now, all that remained was to sedu...
— Finally! — Etienne exhaled hoarsely and lustfully, interrupting all of Ovgust's thoughts. He quickly put the vases down, not even caring about their safety, and like lightning appeared next to the omega who did not even have time to flinch, — my sweet, I found you!
