Chapter 12
Linda started to panic when she couldn’t find Leonardo.
For 4 days she searched, until she found herself at the top of a mountain.
Tired and stressed, Linda broke down crying, “Why can’t I find him… I’ve been searching high and low… but not a trace to be seen… What should I do?”
Linda clasped her hands together and started to pray, “May a way to find my beloved is shown to me…”
Then a soft ray of sunlight and sun particles started to appear in front of Linda.
Linda felt the warmth of the sunlight and opened her eyes, “What is happening.”
Then she looked up to see a humanoid figure dressed in gold, had golden hair and golden skin, but their eyes were closed.
Speechless, Linda asks, “…Who are you?”
A voice so beautiful and profound says, “I am the sun, I’ve come in response to the strong desire in your prayer.”
Linda mumbles, “My… Desires…”
The Sun continues on, “Ask me your will and you may receive guidance.”
Linda immediately asks, “You shine upon all the valleys and mountain peaks, have you seen a Dove leaving drops of blood and feather fly by?”
“No, I have not seen that particular one.” Says The Sun.
Linda starts to tear up, “Is he… Will he forever be lost to me.”
The Sun continues, “Stay here till night has fallen and the Moon is at its peak. Pray to the Moon with all your desire, mayhaps the moon can help.”
Linda nods her head, determined to find Leonardo again.
Glowing a golden light, The Sun started to ascend.
“I will give you a little box. Open it when you are in dire need.”
The little box that was adorned in gold, landed lightly in Linda’s hands.
“In dire need? When will that be?” Linda thought.
Linda did as The Sun said and waited for night to fall and the Moon to rise at its peak.
Linda prayed, “May a way to find my beloved show itself to me…”
Then a ray of moonlight and moon particles started to appear in front of Linda. She felt the cold from the ray of moonlight and opened her eyes.
Linda, amazed, says, “Are you “The Moon”…”
A humanoid figure that was adorned in pearlescent silver, had white hair and eyes, with dead pale skin, had appeared in front of Linda.
Then a voice so deep and radiant says, “Yes, I am “The Moon” and I am here in response to your desires.”
Linda, shocked, mumbled, “So, The Sun was right.”
The Moon continues, “Speak your desires to me and I shall provide guidance.”
Linda immediately asks, “You shine all night. Over field and forest. Have you seen a Dove that leaves drops of blood and feathers flying by?”
“No, I have not.” Says The Moon.
Linda, sadden, mumbles, “Not again.”
The Moon continues, “Go down to the field in the middle of the forest and pray your desires to the Night Winds. They may guide you.”
Linda stood up to see The Moon slowly ascending.
“Here’s an egg. Break it when you are in great need.”
Linda held her hands out to receive the egg that was a holographic silver.
“Will I be in great need?” Linda thought.
Linda was exhausted, so she spent the rest of the night and early morning asleep. Once she awoke, she made her way to the field in the middle of the forest.
By the time she reached the field, the sky was stuck between orange and purple.
Linda closed her eyes, clasped her hands, and prayed, “I wish to find my beloved. Can a way to him show itself to me…”
Then whispers of winds started to appear, like fairies flying through the air.
Linda felt a cold soft breeze grace her skin and opened her eyes, “Are you the “Night Winds”?…”
Fairy like creatures surrounded with light started to appear and fly around Linda.
Then voices that sounded like whispers of wind said, “We are the “Night Winds”, we have appeared thanks to your strong desires.”
Linda mumbled, “Once again, this amazes me.”
The Night Wind continues, “Tell us your wishes and we will give you answers.”
Linda immediately said, “You blow through all the trees and leaves, have you seen a Dove that leaves behind drops of blood and feathers flying by?”
“No, we have not seen one,” said the Night Winds.
Linda, frustrated, said, “Not again…”
The Night Winds continued, “We will ask the other three Winds, perhaps some of them have seen your Dove.”
As the East and West Winds came and said, “No, we have not seen your Dove.” Linda sank deeper into despair… until the South Winds came.
“We have seen your Dove. It has flown to the Red Sea, where it has transformed into a Lion. But, the Lion is fighting a Dragon who is a transformed Princess.”
Linda, both relieved and worried, thought, “I’m glad he’s alive… for now… but I have this feeling that the dragon is…”
Linda thought is cut off when the Night Winds flew by her eyes to say, “We will advise you. Take this, it’s Fairy Tears. Splash the Lion and Dragon with it and both will regain their human forms permanently. Next, go down the Red Sea and at the base you’ll find a Griffin, give it this fruit and it’ll fly you back home. Lastly, take this seed and drop it when you’re mid-ocean, it’ll grow into a huge tree where the Griffin can rest.
Linda remembered and took everything, then thought to herself, “They will be permanently human… with these Fairy Tears… Does this mean the curse will be lifted! Is this what the prophecy meant?”
Then she thanked All the Winds and went on her way to the Red Sea.
Once Linda arrived at the Red Sea and found exactly what the South Winds said.
Linda, shocked, says, “What the hell…”
