"Mr. Micah, I don't think there's a need for us to stay together. We're in a private villa. We don't have to keep the pretense in here," Jax said when they got inside Micah's room.
Micah turned around and crossed his arms. "Pictures, Jax. Can't you use your brain for once?"
Jax tried to calm himself. He knew that if he started raising his voice, it would be an argument full of shouting which wouldn't rely on logic. That was the last thing he wanted.
"I know you're trying your best for your job. But, sir, can't you see you're not the only one trying? Seb and I are not idiots to post anything that would hurt what the team has been working on for months," Jax explained.
Micah snorted. "Seb... You even have have a nickname for him. So you really want SebJac to sail, huh?"
"I've been calling him Seb since the beginning and everybody calls him Seb. Just because Seb and I are friends does not mean I wish for anything like that."
"Fine. Go and have fun with your Seb."
Jax frowned. "Sir, that's-"
"Out."
Jax sighed. He didn't want things to turn out this way. He wanted to use reason and to make Micah see his point. He never understood why it was hard to convince Micah. Was he not good with his words enough?
Actually, Micah understood what Jax was trying to say. He really did make a point. But Micah didn't like how Jax kept on defending Sebastian. Jax was supposed to say yes to whatever he said because Jax would benefit more from Micah's name.
Jax just left the room. He knew that whatever he would say, Micah had already closed his ears. He'll just reserve it for another time, when Micah's more clear-headed.
Jax spent the day with Sebastian. They were fooling around. They had so much fun since Micah stayed in his room the whole time. No one was telling them to stop or anything.
But somehow, Jax felt something nagging at the back of his mind. The team was already eating dinner and Micah still didn't come out. No one even bothered to mention him. They were too afraid to be the first one to talk about it and be pushed to call for Micah. They were all too familiar with his wrath.
While Jax was eating, it felt weird. So he put some food on a plate and headed to the elevator.
"Where are you going?" Sebastian asked.
"I'm going to our room. He hasn't eaten anything since we arrived," Jax replied.
"I'll go with you. I'll just wait outside."
When Jax opened the door, it was dark and cold. There were no berating comments so he figured that Micah must have been sleeping. He turned on the light, put the plate on the table, and headed to Micah's sleeping figure on the bed.
Jax gently shook his body to wake him up. "Mr. Micah, it's time to eat."
Jax furrowed his brows. Micah looked a little red and his breathing was unstable. Placing his hand on Micah's forehead, Jax finally realized that Micah was burning up.
"Seb, call a taxi! We need to go to the hospital," Jax said.
Sebastian insisted to go with them so he could somehow help, but Jax said that he had to make use of the time to have fun since this was only once in a while before they get busy again.
In the hospital, Micah stayed in a private room. The nurse said that he was just experiencing fever which somehow calmed Jax down. Ever since he witnessed what happened to his parents, he always got scared when something like that happened to someone close to him. He and Micah had been working for a long time so it was only normal for him to feel familiar with him, although not really as a close friend.

When Micah opened his eyes, he was in a different room. He wanted to sit up, but his throbbing head made it impossible. He groaned in pain.
"You're awake." A nurse who was doing her round entered. "Are you hungry? Your friend bought some food for you." The nurse pointed at the table.
"Friend?"
"Yeah. Isn't he your friend?"
Micah followed the nurse's line of sight and there was Jax sitting on a chair with his head leaning back on the wall.
"You're lucky for having such a good friend," the nurse continued. "He looked very nervous when he brought you here even though it's just a fever. Anyway, do you feel anything?"
Micah shook his head. "Just some throbbing in my head."
"Are you hungry? Do you want me to wake your friend up so he can help you with dinner? It's pretty late now. 11:27 PM. You must be hungry."
"No, it's okay. You may leave."
"Alright. Just press the button there if you need anything."
And the nurse left.
Micah just stayed there, unmoving. But his eyes were always on Jax.
Nervous? Why? I expected that he would celebrate if he found out I was sick, so I didn't tell him. He hates me. He must be onto something, Micah thought.
Micah noticed Jax shifting in his seat, so he immediately closed his eyes and pretended to sleep. Just as he closed his eyes, Jax opened his.
The first thing that Jax looked for when he was awake was Micah. He walked towards him and touched his forehead.
"His fever has gone down a bit," Jax remarked. He looked at the clock. "It's already very late and he hasn't eaten anything yet. This must be why he got sick. He takes care of his name so much but not his body. What's a name to do if the body dies?"
Micah wanted to retort, but he stopped himself from doing so.
Jax's phone rang. "Hello, Seb?"
"When are you coming back? I saved some ice cream for you."
"I think I'll stay here for the night. He hasn't woken up yet," Jax said.
"Do you want me to tell a staff to take your place so you can rest here?"
"It's alright, Seb. Everybody's too scared of him to actually take care of him."
Sebastian chuckled. "That's right. Maybe he should try be friendlier so that the next time he's sick, someone will be willing to help him."
Micah frowned. So this is how they talk about me when I'm not around.
"But what about tomorrow? Weren't you excited to come here because you wanted to visit your parents' graves?" Sebastian asked.
"Let's cancel that. I can just visit them next time."
"But Green Island opens once a year only. You haven't visited them for a long time, right?"
"Well, I thought about it. My parents are already dead. So I think I should focus on this guy who's still alive," Jax said.
"You're really kind. If that's what you wish, I'll respect it. But it must be a bit boring staying there."
"It won't be boring if you keep me company the whole night," Jax joked.
Upon hearing that, Micah opened his eyes.
"Seb, I'll call you later." Jax hung up. "Mr. Micah, are you okay?"
"I'm hungry," Micah said.
Jax helped Micah to sit up and brought the food close to him.
"Feed me."
Jax opened the plastic bag and asked, "What would you like to eat first, Mr. Micah?"
Jax, Micah, and Sebastian are the trending names in Thailand for starring in the most popular BL series of the year. Jax plays the protagonist, Micah the possessive top, and Sebastian the one who drives the love triangle.
All is well for the three who have been in the BL industry for a few years and have only gotten a break now. But things start to take a turn when the plot in their series slowly begins to become the plot of their lives.
