Connie and Morgan meet in Season 2 of Malevolence. They have an instant spark, but it's interrupted by Connie's unfortunate side effects of the events of Season 1. Despite that, they continue to have a bond, one which is profound enough for both ladies to acknowledge.
This scene happens sometime in Season 2 between the action. The exact time doesn't matter as much as the fact that they are very close to one another. This seems meant to be in a way that Connie's past attempts (Nina and Rhonda) did not. And as they move forward, we can see a lot of what makes them work.
