The air was dense in the conference room at the top floor of Anderson Enterprises. The board of directors present were either gaping or had a shock expression on their faces as they watched the intense stare-off between the two most powerful CEO as neither refused to back down.
"What!" one of BOD finally managed to voice out. They all wondered if they heard correctly what is being said by the youngest CEO in the country of the most powerful Treasure Enterprises.
"I come with an offer to sell Treasure Enterprises to the Anderson Enterprises." his cold voice filled the room not bothering to back down from the stare off with their CEO.
More gasp were heard all over again as if he was saying it for the first time.
"The question is why." Their CEO questioned, speaking for the first time. They waited for an answer to the question they all have in mind. You can't blame them, this is their rival and competition in the world of business they're talking about. The suddenness of all this is alarming. It felt like hours had passed when it's just minutes before he answered.
"It's personal."
The conference room became noisy as everyone starts talking among themselves.
"You don't get to pull that on us, we need to understand what we're getting into."
"Everything you need to know is all in the contract. " the young CEO said with signal of his hand as his assistant began to handle out the contract file to everyone in the room.
The place quited down as they all begin to go through the file.
"I'm not signing this, there's nothing here that states the reason why there's need for the sales of your company," the older CEO said flinging the contract across the table. "Why come to us."
"I said it's personal. Rivals or not I rather sell my company to the world second best company after mine where I know it'll grow than be prideful and risk selling it to the wrong company." the young CEO cold calculating gaze meets everyone's in the room.
No one in the room could hold those icy blue cold eyes that always sends shiver down their spine. The young CEO had this cold aura that intimidates and sends fear to everyone around him.
"That's not reason enough for me to sign those contracts."
"I came here with a good deal but it seems you all don't want the offer. I'll take it up to Earnest Corp. I'm sure they won't turn down this opportunity." the young CEO stood up.
"You should definitely do that, I can't jus_"
"Mr Anderson! Reconsider, this is a very good offer. We can't just let this opportunity fall into the hands of the Earnest Corp. They'll be the world leading most powerful business Corp and we don't want that." a member of the BOD voiced out.
The conference room again became a chaos and noisy as everyone begin to argue among themselves taken sides. No one noticed the smile on the young CEO face as the argument escalates.
"Enough!!" everyone fell silent, the older CEO glares at the member of the board that interrupted him in the first place causing this disorder. "Let's take a break."
Most of the BOD began filing out of the conference room. The meeting had taken five long hours and there's still so much to talk about.
"Mr Treasure, I'll like to talk to you in private." when the older CEO turned, Mr Treasure wasn't there.
