At first humans didn't believe this until they actually began to develop superpowers and abilities from drinking water that had been exposed to the substances. Surely enough the new age of human society had began. The age of superhumans and non-humans. The revelation that God's actually exist became even more of a major point for humans who had long since been on the fence when it came to matters of faith. 

But it would not end there, as 5 years later in 2030 humanity in the middle of several crisis of how to deal with coexisting with not only non-humans but now superhumans came face to face with the Galactic Community. Several dozen alien spacecrafts from across the Galaxy travel to earth after having registered that a Shattered Infinity had occurred on the planet to investigate and they discovered human society. Among these aliens were actually other non-humans that were originally from Earth whose ancestors migrated off of the planet using magical teleportation. 

Thus Earth had became declared a part of the galactic community as it was the ancestral homeland of at least five of the species that were a part of the community. The planet itself became a melting pot world as aliens, non-humans that were native to Earth, superhumans, humans, and angels and demons now called the planet home. 

Capitalizing on all of this for several individuals one of which was the most influential of them all. Maxwell's own grandfather Logan Sinclair. Who had gained a lot of money that he used to buy up several of the world's largest corporations including Disney, Microsoft, Sony, ESPN, HBO, Hasbro, Warner Brothers, Tesla, and more including all of their subsidiary companies and IPs. With all of this he created a single company that all of the others fell under, the Sinclair Family Incorporated. 

The company was primarily a entertainment company as it mostly owned entertainment based companies with a few tech companies mixed in. The company primarily focused on making TV shows, movies, video games, and other forms of entertainment. But being the largest company on Earth it had a lot of influence which Logan had used to make technological advancements that helped propel humanity much farther than it had before. 

Logan also did not shy away from working with the aliens, superhumans, and non-humans. Together his technology that he primarily developed with their assistance helped pioneer humanity from what was considered one of the least technologically advanced societies a part of the galactic community into the top three. He was also an outspoken advocate against government organizations that sought to limit the rights or outright choose to break the Sorcerer King's law in order to genocide all non-humans. 

He was the key financial figure and establishing New Orleans as the first sanctuary city for all people not just humans since he technically owned 90% of the land. This would lead to the first attack on New Orleans specifically by radicalist groups across America uniting to burn it down and kill everyone there. Although Logan and his allies had primarily spoken from a place of unity, tolerance, and acceptance; the attack on New Orleans that saw a third of the city burned to the ground and over 15,000 citizens dead. 

This caused for Logan's closest ally to come out of hiding. That's when the world was introduced to the first ever superhuman. He who did not get his powers from drinking the water that had been blessed by the power of a dead God, but had directly been given power by the God who sacrificed himself right before the event occurred. He proclaimed that the god responsible was known as the Dark One. The same God that Logan had also worshiped.

He explained that he was actually a kid from the same city as Logan and they had known each other since childhood. The only difference is that his family had been murdered by the US government and he had been abducted and forced into a super soldier program to try and create Superior humans that were made with human innovation to fight back against all the enemies of the USA. 

Although they were partially successful in making him much stronger, tougher, faster, and smarter; his real powers came from the blessing he was given by his God that allowed him to fight his way to freedom and try and get revenge for what had happened to him. This superhuman whose face was never revealed because of the suit he wore was called many names, but most countries considered him the King of Speed or Speed King due to him being so fast that all they see of him is a trail of flames and lightning man. He was the one who exposed with proven evidence the dirty dealings of many members of the US government and military. 

He also revealed many hidden secrets the government had long since been trying to cover up such as the known existence of non-humans. The fact that they had captured tortured and experimented on a couple dozen non-humans over the last century and a half. But what was most chilling was when he showed the people who had killed his family and abducted him to turn him into an experiment and what he did to them when he found them and got his revenge. 

The images, audio, video, and verbal testimonies that he gave chilled the world as he made it very clear that humans had been given an opportunity for peaceful coexistence and they should take it. He stated that even one person like him is more than enough to wipe out the human race. He further elaborated that with his speed none of them would even realize that they had been killed until they stood before their Gods. 

It was a haunting statement that lingered with everyone worldwide, because it was not even a masked threat. It was an open one given with hatred and genuine disgust for humanity. A threat that would remind them that they are weak and fragile. That in the face against those who had actual powers there is no weapon that they could create that they could not have turned against them or destroyed. The greatest weapon humanity ever made was a nuclear bomb and as thousands had been launched it was non-humans that showed them how pathetic their greatest weapons were by turning them into swarms of butterflies. 

Radical human groups from there decided that they would try to attack New Orleans again in response to what was said only to be slaughtered in less than a minute, live for the world to see. An example made out of them of why peace and cooperation were necessary. As the heads of everyone responsible was placed in front of the White House once it was over all in less than those 60 seconds that it happened in. 

From there an incident of that magnitude had not occurred again in human history. However those with powers amongst human society decided to take up the mantle of superheroes to combat injustice and crime mostly spurred on by the superheroes from comic books, TV shows, and movies. 

This led to a lot of friction with law enforcement worldwide, and it was the founding of the ISA in 2060 that really made it even much more of an issue. People didn't like the idea of having superheroes who could not or would not allow themselves to be adhered to by law decide what was just and what was not. People who had came to an understanding after the failed attempt to destroy New Orleans began to instead take a peaceful approach of protesting and speaking out.

Global sentiment even came to a head where the ISA decided to work with the galactic community council as well as the new Sorcerer King, Gabriel Blackknife the first born son of Julius, who presided as the member of the council who represented Earth since he was technically the King of the Earth. An acceptable agreement was made where Gabriel would join the ISA and the galactic community would create the IHF, or Interstellar Hero Federation. The IHF would force anyone who wanted to partake in being a superhero to essentially serve as legally sanctioned superpowered cops that handled specifically people with powers that those without powers could not take care of without risking their lives and the lives of others at a far greater detriment. 

Those who were allowed to join the IHF would have their hidden identities classified so that if they chose not to expose who they were under their super suits they did not have to by law. But they were also given several more limitations on what they could and could not do as well as several more freedoms. Not only could members of the IHF serve on Earth but they could also serve across the entirety of the galactic community. 

This promoted for many superhumans to use their powers to aid other worlds across the galaxy allowing for humans to experience more of what was out there beyond Earth. It also drove up incentive for other members of the galactic community who wanted to join the IHF to come to Earth. Thus humanities tension with many of the other worldly races began to die down and their love-hate relationship with Earth native races with powers also began to become much more balanced. 

And then the events of 5 years ago happened. Where the Lords of Dusk had slowly been formed in order to expose Gabriel's crimes of tyranny and much worse. The ensuing battles that occurred and the death of so many along with the destruction of half of New Orleans. Maxwell learned it all and he took that information to try and follow in his grandfather's footsteps. 

His favorite superhero in the world was a member of the ISA called Hyperdrive. Many people suspected that Hyperdrive must have been the son of the Speed King since their powers were very similar, and Maxwell loved speedsters as he was a major fan of the fictional character the Flash. Although his favorite hero died that day along with his uncle who he loved dearly and so many more; Max wanted to carry on the legacy of hope and unity that all the people in his life that he loved so much pushed for. 

He wanted to help people and he wanted to grow up to help his grandfather who was the main driving force for this current state of the world where acceptance has become much more open and unified. He wanted to be someone his dad could be proud of. These were the thoughts that had ran through his mind as he made his way home from school that day.
