Teo advanced through the crowd of students who had come to watch the fight, making his way to the arena. Sam stepped forward as well until both of them were inside.
Teo: How do we start this nonsense?
As soon as they entered the arena, their images appeared on the screen alongside their points.
The students looked at the screen, astonished, and began murmuring, objecting to Teo's points.
-: How does he have one hundred and forty-five points? He just got to the school.
-: This is completely unfair. Is he from some noble lineage or something?
The screen changed, showing a countdown from three to one, and the whistle blew to start the fight.
"In the Audience Stands"
A student took Teo's seat next to Evan.
Evan greeted him: Reizo, my friend! Did you finish your training?
Reizo nodded, then stared a little at Teo in the arena.
Reizo whispered to Evan: Is that the guy?
Evan responded excitedly: Watch closely!
Daya asked, puzzled: Even Reizo came to watch this fight, I wonder why?
"In the Arena"
A transparent aura surrounded Sam's body as he rushed towards Teo, attempting to punch him. Teo dodged the punch, stepping back.
Teo (I felt the wind hit my body. I won't survive even one punch like that.)
Sam clashed his fists together: Are you just going to dodge?
Sam charged at him again, throwing a punch, but his fist went through Teo's body as if it were a hologram.
Teo (Good, now it looks to everyone like I just dodged it, while he thinks he actually hit me. I have to keep the secret of my power until I'm sure no one will mess with me.)
Teo stepped back again.
Sam was shocked, and doubt began to creep in as he looked left and right to see the students' reactions.
(Didn't they see what happened? My fist went through him.)
Teo (Two... one, now!!)
Sam blinked, and suddenly Teo disappeared from in front of him, making him look around, trying to find him.
Teo ran at full speed towards Sam, pulling him down by the shoulders and hitting his nose with his right knee.
Teo (Damn! I didn't put enough force into it.)
Sam tried to resist and break free. Teo punched him with an uppercut to the chin, then another punch to the nose, causing Sam to fall unconscious.
Teo's hands trembled (He's really tough, it's good that I finished the fight quickly.)
The students were amazed at the quick result of the fight.
Evan, jumping from his seat in excitement: Did you see that, guys?!
Daya giggled lightly: B-but... I mean, this fight wasn't as awesome as the previous one, to be honest, b-but it's okay! Haha...
Luke yawned: That was extremely boring.
Neil: But didn't he use his ability?
The screen showed the winner's name and picture, "Teo," along with his reward:
+2 points for defeating someone lower in rank
+5 points for finishing the fight in less than a minute
+5 points for finishing the fight without taking any damage or injuries
Total points awarded: twelve points Final points: 157, ranked up to 21
The screen split, showing Sam's name, picture, and points:
-3 points for losing to someone higher in rank
-2 points for not touching the opponent
-2 points for losing in less than a minute Final points: 125,
ranked down to 32
Teo (Now's my chance.)
Teo put his foot on Sam's face and then loudly threatened everyone: Is this it?! I didn't even have to use my abilities. [turning to Harriet and pointing at him] You better not show your face again, learn how to control your pets!
A grin spread across Evan's face: This is really... awesome! That guy is truly impressive.
"In the Healing Room"
Tyr watched what was happening on the screen, irritated by Teo's behavior.
Tyr: I thought he was a good person, but he seems just like an arrogant jerk. Dealing with him will be disgusting.
"In Principal Henderson's Office"
The principal turned off the screen that was showing Teo and Sam's fight.
Principal: That wasn't bad at all. It's impossible to beat someone like Sam without using any abilities or enhancing his body with aura, but it's worrisome.
Principal Han took a sip of his tea: Will you really be satisfied with this, Ron?
After the fight between Sam and Teo ended, the arena cleared of students, and they returned to their activities.
Teo returned to his room, took off his coat, unbuttoned a few buttons of his shirt, then lay on the bed and began to think (I wish I had made it look easier... but for some reason, I feel happy... I feel like my heart is pounding so fast. I defeated someone with my own strength, alone. I fought him fairly. I didn't even feel this happy after escaping that masked guy.)
Teo's train of thought was interrupted by the door opening.
Tyr entered the room, then closed the door behind him, turning around to be surprised by Teo's presence.
Tyr (Him?! In my room?!): Hello... you're in my room, right?
Teo was surprised but tried to keep his confidence (T-that guy, he was really strong and defeated that brute. I'll try to stay calm, but I have to assert myself so he doesn't mess with me.)
Teo raised his voice threateningly: Can't you see or what? Doesn't it look like this is my room too?!
Tyr was annoyed by Teo but tried to stay calm: Can't see? [laughs sarcastically] I appreciate your attempt to appear strong, I understand your feeling, but you should think twice before speaking so arrogantly.
Teo: After fighting one of the clowns today, I didn't have the fun I was looking for, but luckily, I got my own clown here in the same room.
Tyr: It's not my interest to waste my time with tricksters. Don't think your little tricks will work on me [gives him a threatening look with his sky-blue eyes].
Teo was momentarily shocked and started thinking (W-what does he mean... I'm sure my illusion wasn't obvious... no, no, it seems his ability allows him to see everything.)
Tyr advanced, surrounded by a sky-blue aura, then placed his hand on Teo's head, who was lying on the bed, completely, letting his fingers dig into his hair until he grasped his head.
Tyr gently pressed Teo's head: If you bother me, I'll expose you. Don't brag about your abil—
Teo clung to Tyr's hand holding his head, then lifted his legs and wrapped them around Tyr's neck, choking him.
Tyr's face turned red as he moved his body all over the room until he slammed Teo into the wall. Teo fell to the ground, in pain.
Tyr approached, lifted Teo by his hair, and threw him to one side of the room, making him collide with the wardrobe.
Tyr's aura disappeared, then he stood in front of Teo and squatted down, facing him.
Tyr: I really hate arrogant people like you. You can't even enhance your body with aura. All you can do is use your stupid tricks, waiting for your opponent to give you space to attack. I just want you to promise not to hurt anyone with that dumb ability of yours and to behave properly.
Teo stood up angrily, pulling his right arm back to punch him: Shut up, you bastard!
Tyr surrounded himself with his sky-blue aura, and Teo's punch hit his forehead without Tyr flinching or moving.
Teo grabbed his fist and screamed in pain, kneeling on one knee (It felt like I punched a wall! So painful!)
Tyr: Is this really it? You kneel in weakness after punching your opponent?
Teo slowly stood up, holding his fist in pain, then looked at Tyr in the eyes with a face full of hatred.
Teo: Here you are, you insulted me and threatened to expose my power's secret, do it!
Tyr: What do you mean?
Teo screamed at him: I told you to do it, you bastard, here I am!!
The room began to shrink, and many giant snakes emerged, heading towards Tyr, but he stood still, unmoved or blinking.
Tyr: Are you mocking me? I told you your tricks won't work on me! Learn at least how to use your abilities properly.
Tyr turned his back to Teo and headed towards his bed: You've embarrassed yourself enough. I don't want to fight with you.
Teo stood up, buttoned his shirt, and left the room with a blank expression (Am I... this weak?)
Teo left the door open.
Tyr: At least close the door!
