Vijay was walking down the street when he realized someone was behind him. He started to walk faster. Then a voice called out from behind, "Hey, I am Yug." Vijay stopped and said in a low tone, "Hello, I am Vijay." Yug responded, "I am new in this city." Vijay replied, "Okay," and started moving again, thinking, "Do I sound rude? What will this man think about me?" Yug then asked, "What are you thinking, standing still in one spot?" Vijay replied, "No, I am not thinking of anything. Are you asking for directions since you are new here?" Yug said, "No, I just wanted to make new friends because I am getting bored, but it seems like you don’t have any interest in being my friend." Vijay said, "No, it’s not like that." Yug then asked, "Then it means we can be friends?" Vijay replied, "Maybe, but I have to go right now," and started walking away. Yug called out in a heavy tone, "You stop!" Vijay panicked and turned around, only to see Yug smiling. "How will you meet me again? You haven’t shared your number." So, Vijay gave him his number and went home.
At home, Vijay was thinking about Yug. He found him very strange and thought he would not meet him again, but he liked Yug's communication skills. A voice within him said, "Maybe one day I will have good communication skills too." But he countered, "I don’t want to be like him," and the reply came, "But he was cool."
Just then, Mom entered his room and said, "What are you doing? Don’t you want to go to coaching? If you don’t get ready fast, I won’t give you food. So get ready quickly." Vijay went to coaching but was distracted. The tuition teacher told him to bring his parents the next day. Vijay came home and told his parents about the coaching incident. His father asked, "Why do we have to go to coaching? What have you done now?" Vijay said, "I did not do anything." His father replied, "Don’t lie to me; I don’t like lies." Vijay said, "Dad, why don’t you ever trust me?" Vijay's father stood up angrily and slapped him. He was about to slap him again, but Vijay’s mom stopped him. His father said, "You are only spoiling him. If we don’t punish him now, he will make bigger mistakes. Don’t dare give him food," and left the room.
Vijay went to his room crying, and his mom followed him and asked what had happened at coaching. Vijay replied, "I was studying silently, but some students were hitting me with paper balls. They did this to me at school too, so the teacher saw me and thought I was the one doing it and punished me." Mom said, "Okay, we will go to the school tomorrow and complain about them. Now I am bringing you some food." Vijay said, "But Dad told you not to give me food." Mom said, "Don’t worry about him; I will explain everything to him."
Vijay's mom brought him food and then went to his father and explained everything. Vijay's father said, "Don’t worry, I will go to the school tomorrow. Don’t tell Vijay about it, and go feed him some food." Vijay's mom said, "I already did." Vijay's father, feeling remorseful, said, "I am not a good dad," and started crying. Vijay's mom consoled him and said, "Don’t worry, but please don’t hit him again. He is not going to make bigger mistakes. He is very mature." Vijay's father said, "I promise you that I will not hit him again, and I will not doubt him from now on."
In the middle of the night, Vijay's father woke up, moved towards Vijay's room, touched his face, and promised him that he would trust him from now on. Then he returned to his room. A notification flashed on Vijay's mobile from WhatsApp: "Hey, I am Yug. This is my WhatsApp."
