It had been a few weeks since the incident with the Finite spell, and Aurora had been practicing her majka diligently. She had improved a lot in defense magic, but the other types of majka had not seen as much progress. She was determined to keep practicing, though, and to become the best majka user she could be.
One day, Aurora walked into her Elementalmajka class, excited to learn more about her abilities. But when she arrived, she found out that she had been transferred to a different class by mistake. This class was in the Academy's grounds, almost at the outskirts. The group was filled with students from Tunda and Kateer, and Aurora stood out as the only one from Jana.
Professor Moss was explaining what the class was going to do that day, and it was all about water and plant majka. Aurora listened attentively, taking notes and trying to absorb as much information as possible. She was nervous about being in a class with students from other wings, but she was also excited to learn more about majka from different perspectives.
As the class began, Aurora tried to focus on the lesson. Professor Moss was explaining the different types of water and plant majka, and how they could be used in different ways. Aurora listened attentively, trying to absorb as much information as possible.
After the lecture, it was time for the practical portion of the class. Professor Moss handed out a set of instructions for a simple spell: growing a plant from a seed. Aurora read through the instructions carefully, feeling confident that she could do it.
Aurora felt frustrated as she tried and tried to make the seed grow, but nothing seemed to be working. She tried different techniques and methods, but no matter what she did, the seed wouldn't sprout.
As Aurora saw Tulipa Plum make the seed grow with a snap of her fingers, she felt a pang of embarrassment and shame. She had been trying to make the seed grow for a while now, but nothing seemed to work. Seeing Tulipa effortlessly make it happen only made Aurora feel like more of a failure.
Tulipa, with her black dreadlocks, dark skin, and green eyes, stood tall and proud, as if she had just accomplished the greatest feat. She turned to Aurora with a mocking grin on her face and said "you're welcome" as though she had done Aurora a great favor. Aurora felt a surge of anger and frustration rise in her, but she knew that she couldn't let Tulipa's success discourage her.
Aurora stood up, she looked at Tulipa with a steely gaze, determined to show her that she was just as good as she was.
"That's not fair," she said, her voice firm. "You just made the seed grow with your own majka. That's not what the assignment was about."
Tulipa looked at her with a mocking expression, a smirk on her face.
"What's the matter, little Jana?" she said, her voice laced with sarcasm. "Can't handle a little competition?"
Aurora felt her blood boil. She knew that Tulipa was trying to get under her skin, but she refused to let her win.
"I can handle competition just fine," she said, her voice steady. "But I don't think it's fair to use your own majka to complete the assignment. We're supposed to be learning, not showing off."
Tulipa laughed, and the other Tundas joined in.
"Fine," she said, with a challenging glint in her eyes. "If you think you're so good, why don't you show us what you've got?"
Aurora nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over her. She knew that she couldn't let Tulipa get the best of her.
"Alright," she said, her voice firm. "I'll show you what I've got."
Aurora focused her feelings, all of her anger and frustration into making the plants grow. Somehow the ground started trembling and vines started growing from the ground's ruptures. All going towards Tulipa, at full speed. The vines trapped her and started growing thicker. Until Aurora noticed the look in the girl's eyes and she just stopped, and the summoned plants started to go back where they came from.
The other students looked at her in amazement, their eyes wide with shock and surprise. Aurora knew that she had done something incredible, but she also knew that she had to be careful with her powers. She took a deep breath, feeling a sense of calm wash over her.
"I'm sorry," she said, looking at Tulipa with a serious expression. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I just got carried away."
Tulipa looked at her with a mix of fear and respect, and nodded.
"It's okay," she said, her voice quiet. "I understand. Majka can be powerful, and sometimes it can be hard to control." she continued, "You're not so bad after all."
Aurora smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.
Professor Moss came over to where Aurora and Tulipa were standing, his expression stern.
"Although you have both shown great skill in your use of majka, you cannot be this reckless," he said. "You could have seriously hurt someone, and that is not acceptable."
He looked at both girls, his eyes stern.
"Both of you will have detention for the next week," he said. "I expect you to use this time to reflect on your actions, and to think about how you can use majka in a responsible and safe way."
Aurora and Tulipa both nodded, feeling a sense of shame wash over them. They knew that they had been foolish, and that they had put themselves and others in danger.
"We understand," Aurora said, her voice quiet.
Professor Moss nodded, looking at them with a serious expression.
"Good," he said. "I expect better from you both in the future."
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Aurora and Tulipa standing there feeling ashamed and embarrassed.
The rest of the class was tense, and Aurora felt like she had ruined everything. She tried to focus on the lesson, but her mind kept drifting back to her mistake. She knew that she had to do better, and that she couldn't let her emotions get the best of her.
As the class ended, Aurora packed up her things and headed out of the classroom. She saw Tulipa walking ahead of her, and she hesitated for a moment before calling out to her.
"Tulipa," she said, her voice hesitant.
Tulipa turned around, looking at Aurora with a guarded expression.
"What do you want?" she said, her voice cold.
Aurora took a deep breath, feeling a sense of nervousness wash over her.
"I just wanted to say that I'm sorry," she said. "I didn't mean to hurt you, or to be so reckless with my majka. I know that I have a lot to learn, and I want to do better."
Tulipa looked at her for a moment, her expression unreadable. And then, she nodded.
"Okay," she said, her voice quiet. "I accept your apology. But you need to be more careful in the future. Majka is powerful, and it can be dangerous if it's not used properly."
Aurora nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.
"I will," she said. "I promise."
Tulipa smiled, a small and tentative smile.
"Good," she said. "I'll see you around."
With that, she walked away, leaving Aurora standing there feeling grateful and relieved.
