At 4 pm in a city near tourist attractions in the countryside, a café that was buzzing with customers officially closed for the day. The staff of the café pulled down the metal shutters and locked it. One stored the surplus products, while another wiped the tables and chairs clean. Two more put away the chairs by stacking it on the table, while another swept the floor. The next mopped the floor. Then they cleaned all the kitchen and the counters. The staff then met up in the middle of the café once they finished cleaning.
"We did it! Our café is celebrating its one year anniversary tomorrow!", their baker, Angelica, chirped with a sweet voice.
"We've been getting more and more orders each year!", the shopkeeper, Roxanne said eagerly.
"We're making returns on our investment! we can fully pay the loans soon!', the first barista, Brooklyn, said.
"We've accomplished so much together." The second barista, Clarissa, softly said with joy.
As the sixth woman approached, the fifth whispered to her, with a smile, "You've done it, chief."
"Thank you Caroline", Lilian said with a smile, and a voice that held conviction in its clarity.
"You guys should rest, then let's celebrate with cakes and drinks if you're all up to it, or would you all rather celebrate tomorrow? Or not at all, that's also alright" Lilian said.
"I'd rather celebrate tonight because heaven knows we'll be too busy tomorrow to celebrate" Brooklyn says.
"We can take a day off tomorrow!"
"A day off?! But we must run the café on its birthday, and celebrate it with its patrons!" Angelica said.
"How could you suggest that we should take the day off? This café is your baby!", Brooklyn said, "The best way to celebrate the hard work put into this café is to keep it bustling on its birthday!"
"Plus, we can show off the success of our café!" Roxanne said.
"A special party tonight for the runners of the café would be delightful, and would increase everyone's morale tomorrow." Caroline said.
"What do you think, Clarissa?" Lilian said.
"It's a good compromise, and you guys deserve it." Clarissa said.
"Only us?" Roxanne said
" You deserve it too." Angelica said.
"Oh no, I'm just a newbie, you guys have been here since the beginning of the café." Clarissa said."
"You're one of us now, and you've done a lot of work too." Lilian says.
"Yeah Clarissa!"
"Yeah!" They cheered.
"Alright, alright, I hear you all. Let's hold the celebration party tonight!"
