Walking back to Heat Valley shouldn’t have exhausted me, it was also hot. Normally this kind of exercise was nothing to me. Then I remembered that the same thing happened when coming back from the mission. I need to stop being so naive, this was my life now.

People were too close, why were they so close?

Growling as I pushed through them finding my way back to the Heat Valley. The two Alpha’s, Ever and Whisk were there. Ever smiled and escorted me to a room, while Whisk wrote on a clipboard not saying a word. I was given a proper tour of the room, some of the things I will not dare to mention. Ever told me how to prepare them and how to use some of the items. Feeling embarrassed I mentioned that I was a bit hungry, and Ever went into what was in the fruit sauce. It was indeed fruit but the syrup was the vitamins that our body needs. Whatever fruit or vegetable was not used it was replaced by the vitamins in the syrup that was mixed with the juice of the fruit. Each of us is given doctor prescribed foods that the Alpha’s take very seriously, whatever our ailments they will take care of it for us. The only thing we have to worry about is eating and playing.

“Would you like a demonstration of the toys?”

“No, I’m sure I can figure it out,” I growled.

“Alright, even though the toys are cleaned regularly still use a-”

“Got it!” the growling has yet to let up and it seems to refuse to stop until Ever leaves or stops talking.

“It’s nothing to be-”

“Understood!”

“Alright, I’ll leave you to it. I’m sure your doctor has spoken with Whisk already so we’ll know what to do from here. See you later, Alpha.”

Ever left thankfully and I went to set up my nest again to burry myself in shame and hopefully to never come out.

It’s impossible to get close, the place is guarded securely. Growling softly, narrowing his eyes at the offending obstruction. He was hoping to meet with him alone so they could, Talk. But it seems his Father has other ideas for his Mate, Angelique.

Sighing, partly growling he watched the entrance for his Silver Moon. Normally he’d be back by now, and the Alpha hanging around was just standing at the bottom of the stairs. He would leave a soon as Silver Moon shows up. He knew that this Alpha was strong, his Silver Moon was stronger. The Omega beside him was too soft for his liking, made him feel too much like an Alpha.

But for some reason he can’t let the Omega go. His scent was perfect, the touch just right, he felt like leaning into the Omega. He calmed him down, eased his racing thoughts. It also helped that he looked similar to Silver Moon, his short black hair, dark eyes, fair skin. The only thing wrong is his gentle look, he was used to Silver Moon’s grumpy look. It was that look that made him feel safer, when Silver Moon looked at him his expression softens ever so slightly.

Silver Moon doesn’t look at him like that anymore.

It’s always missions.

He’s also doing so little around the house, he’s not cooking him special little meals anymore.

Sighing he looked around the place, wolves walked around happily talking about hunting or some sort. The Omega beside him purring and pressing against his side, content with just being there.

Then he seen him.

Silver Moon was walking into Heat Valley. It annoyed him with how friendly he was being with the two guards. What’s worse, is that isn’t allowed near the place unless given permission.

Wait, does he need permission to see his mate?

He would have already said to them that he was allowed to be there.

No.

No he should wait.

Silver Moon needs time to himself during these times. If not given proper permission to approach by him then it will most likely end in him on the floor. Silver Moon has a short fuse when it comes to alone times.

He can understand that.

It’s not like he also doesn’t have a short fuse.

Alpha’s were just born with it.

Besides he has his friend there with him, the little Omega pressing against him. It was time that they went in, he knows Silver Moon is safe. Walking back into the house the Omega trailing behind talking about what to do and what he’ll be doing. Once inside Silver Moon closed the door and started fussing around the house. It was so nice to have him back.

Spending time in my old Alpha room was heaven. It felt nice to be in such a clean house again. Stretching out and curling up to my new rabbit fur blanket, my first one was still in Jay’s house. I have yet to go talk to him, my doctor told me it was normal as well as the Elite Alpha’s standing by. I just feel so weak.

Getting up and putting on my uniform I walked out of my room, the Elite Alpha’s trailed behind me as I made my way to the Cafeteria. Everything was in order no one tried to challenge me for the title. Getting something to eat I sat and ate quietly watching the Alpha’s around me talk happily.

“This is the most peaceful this place has ever been, are they sure he needs us?”

“Of course it’s peaceful, he’s the Alpha of the Alpha Den.”

“This Omega is that strong?”

“I’m a Delta first, and I’m smelling a challenge,” I growled. The room went quiet their attention was on me and the Elite Alpha that spoke.

“I apologize,” it sounded as if he didn’t care one bit if he had offended me. I would like to put him in his place, but right now food comes first. My needs after my heat were very simple and always met first. The best I can do right now is remember his scent.

I growled lowly then continued eating. Elite Alpha’s were almost a step above Delta’s, they were really just better trained Alpha’s.

Finished eating I got up and put my plate and tray away.

Then a very haughty Alpha decides to throw some insults in my direction. They must be very new to the Alpha Den, growling wasn’t settling the Alpha down. Instead they grew a bigger pair and started walking towards me, shifting as he did so. Since I had no clothes to rip, shifting without ripping anything was nice.

“Is this really necessary? We can’t let an Omega get involved-”

“He stated who he was, there’s no need to worry about him.” The two Elite Alpha’s took a few steps back while the Alpha in front of me started barking loudly. My low growls weren’t working, so it was about time to put all these Alpha’s in their place.

Lifting my left front paw, and with a quick stomp I howled.

It rang in the cafeteria.

When I looked at my surroundings everyone was cowering against the wall. The Alpha in front of me was no longer taunting, only trying to get the ringing out. Once they set themselves right he growled at me and I in return growled back, lifting his head above his. With the same foot I started walking forward to force the Alpha into submission with no teeth.

The Alpha took a few steps back but lifted their head and growled trying to force me back.

We were at a standstill.

Then with a quick movement he tried to bite me. Quick on my feet I moved back and grabbed his scruff and shook him. When he tried to regain his footing I flipped him onto his back and shook him. Releasing him he got up and moved away growling.

Seems it didn’t work.

Very well.

Blood it is then.

The floor was covered in red with a few streak marks, the Alpha was down and stayed down whimpering.

“Obey, your Alpha,” I growled, the Alpha flinched and the rest of the Alpha’s bowed their heads. Howling this time a little less challenging the rest joined in. Walking out I went to the showers and got rid of the blood from my fur and uniform. The Elite Alpha’s were quiet, lowering their eyes when ever I turn to look at them. I guess this weak Omega showed the stupid Alpha’s that I can stand toe to toe with them. Good. But it doesn’t end here. I have more to do.

Walking out of the Alpha Den now I tried to find familiar scents, getting to know the stronger scents was difficult especially when I don’t know where they come from. I found Jay’s scent and it seems he was teaching. Well, no use going to the room now. I decided to head outside to enjoy the day.

I found an open field and sat listening to the sounds around me, figuring out the scents. Everything smelled sharper the Pine was now stinging, the grass had an extra hit of water to it. But the scent of wolves was no longer muted but heavier, they had a stronger scent to them as well saltier.

They still smelled like themselves but it was just stronger and had that extra salt to them.

The Alpha’s when they release their pheromones for commands, it was almost impossible to not obey. Before it was muted, now it just hits me full force. Instead of cowering I growl as if it was insult. The ones my friends release were calming and not as strong, just subtle like they were telling me to accept it if I want. At times I do, just so I don’t tear anyone apart.

The familiar rabbit was soothing next to the Pine and rain, the earthy scent caught with the raw rabbit meat. Delicious.

When I get used to the scents around me I go for sound next, the crackling of twigs and the crunch of leaves. The rush of wind, sounds like a Stick has returned, I gave a low yip of welcoming them back on their safe return and they yipped back.

Appearing briefly and disappearing.

The Elite Alpha’s were no longer surprised by it., they’ve seen it enough times during the past week. They were more surprised at how close us Delta’s were with each other. We don’t see each other in the dark but the scent will always be remembered. It’d be weird if we didn’t recognize each other’s scent or not greet them in passing.

Normal wolves were just rude, we would greet them but they would just walk on by. We mostly accepted it. Now it’s just slightly annoying.

Having rested enough and got used to everything again I got up and went inside. Taking a quick sniff, Jay was still teaching. It seems he’s staying longer. Has he grown tired of waiting for me?

Going around the Pack home it was very peaceful for the most part. Some Alpha’s roughhousing here and there, Omega’s purring and chittering. The chittering was new to me, it wasn’t a sound I was used to hearing. I’ll have to ask about it on my next visit to Dr. Sparrow. So far, he’s been a reliable source of information and now very trusted.

Then again Dr. Sparrow made me understand that my knowledge on Omega’s were being learned very late. But he was glad that my knowledge was late, he was also glad about how I grew up. From what he told me, Omega’s were practically throwing themselves at him because of his strong Alpha scent. He was also worried that I would be the same, he wasn’t expecting a cautious Omega.

Walking to my room I gathered some things that I’ll need to help me face against Jay, not sure why I feel so threatened by it.

Taking the key and putting it on my belt loop the smiling Strawberry dangling from my side. I started my way to Jay’s.

Walking over I seen that Jay and an Omega were holding hands, strangely the Omega looks a lot like me but weaker. I don’t know what triggered it.

Shifting, I growled and charged towards the Omega throwing him off Jay. Startled the Omega shifted, prepared to be submissive until he saw me. The Omega growled and launched himself at me and I responded in turn. Throwing the Omega down and pinning him there, growling in his face to force a submission.

I was quickly shoved away and I was about to snap at them until I noticed it was Love. What shocked me more was that he was cooing at the Omega!

Growling, showing my fangs. Then I calmed down putting my fangs away, it was clear who he wanted. I was hoping that he would at least tell me that he found someone better.

Shifting back, I felt nothing. I took the key from my belt and threw it in their direction.

“The creek under the bridge bubbles softly,” I said saying that this was over and there was nothing left to discuss about it. “I hunt alone.”

I walked out of the Warehouse and shifted, I wanted to run. I needed to run. For how long I don’t know, I just have to get away. Starting my run a few Sticks saw me as I passed them by, told them I’ll be back.

I don’t know if the Elite Alpha’s followed me, I don’t even know if any other wolves were following me. There’s only a rush of wind through my fur with no clear destination of where I’m heading. The pine trees were thick for the most part, and I can hear water to my right so I must be near Wolf Grave River and if it’s to the right then I’m heading upstream. So if I turn on the bridge I’ll be near Echo Lake. Do I want to go there? Or go towards Mist Falls into Ivory Deer Meadow?

Nevermind, I’ll go where my paws take me.

“Paws, lead true the wolf you are carrying,” I said and went static. The rush of wind was now faster, my breath sharp, the sounds of only my pawsteps hitting the earth in a rhythm. This was between consciousness and Delta Survival Mode. I’ve used it plenty of times when we’re running for long periods of time.

My paws were now at a stand still.

Taking a quick look around I’ve arrived at the edge of the Ivory Deer Meadow. This is where the Deer reside, taking a deep breath and letting out slowly I started my walk forward. I wasn’t hunting. Glancing around I was cautious, this was also a spot for hunters in Saker Keep. It wasn’t well known to all of them only the experienced. Taking in the scent around me, there was no scent of gunpowder. No gas. It seems safe to go across to the other side.

Standing at the edge of the deer tracks I gave a howl to let them know a wolf was nearby, it was important to let the deer know that this wasn’t a hunt. The Delta Elders taught all the Delta’s about the traditions around the pack, what was respectful since we were the ones that went outside of pack boarders the most. They knew different languages of the different animals around the area and further.

I waited.
