"Don't trust him, son. Nothing comes out of his mouth except lies."
"Shut your mouth!" yelled Lux.
"No matter how beautiful your words may be, Lux, your true intention is still the same, that's reaping the benefit of him as much as possible."
"Don't listen to him, Arthur. He wants to split us up."
"But how do I know that you're not lying and he's telling the truth?" said Arthur.
"Because you know it in your heart. Your heart, who is lying and who is telling the truth. You just have to listen to it."
"Yes, Arthur, listen to your heart and tell us who is the truth-teller and who is a deceiver!" shouted Ferdinand.
"You believe me, right?" Lux asked Arthur.
"I… I don't know." Arthur looked down and shook his head.
Ferdinand grinned.
"That's alright. You don't have to trust me now," Lux grabbed Arthur's shoulder. "Trust needs time, and if you give me a second chance and enough time, I promise I'll show you that everything I said is the truth. Can you give them to me?"
"I… I…"
Ferdinand looked at both of them triumphantly.
Arthur looked into Lux's eyes. "I can."
Lux gently smiled. "Thanks, Arthur. You'll never regret this, I promise."
Arthur returned the smile.
Ferdinand slowly clapped his hands in rhythm. "Bravo, son, bravo. After everything I've said and done for you, you decide to trust a stranger who you've known for less than a day instead of me, your own principal. I'm so disappointed in you, Arthur."
"Please, Headmaster. This doesn't have to end in conflict. We can work this out."
"We can work this out if you choose to trust me, Arthur. Now, this argument doesn't have to end terribly."
"I beg you! Listen to me for once!"
"I've listened to you enough. You've become a naughty boy, Arthur. Now it's time you receive the punishment you deserve."
Ferdinand strode toward Arthur, and Arthur stepped away from him. Ferdinand extended his hand to Arthur as he was about to reach him, before Lux inserted himself between the two and blocked Ferdinand's way. "Touch him and I'll cut off that hand."
"If you think you can do it, then be my guest."
Lux and Ferdinand stared into each other's souls.
"Forget it! Do whatever you two want. I'm going home." Ferdinand walked away.
"Do you think you can walk away after everything you said?!" shouted Lux. "I won't let you go. You work for the lord of darkness. I can't let you walk freely among the people."
"What a shame!" Ferdinand wheeled around and stomped toward Lux.
Lux took a fighting stance, ready to attack him. But when Ferdinand reached him, instead of throwing a punch, he grabbed his shoulder instead.
"You know what? I think this argument is starting to get too far. Why don't we drop it for a while and do something fun instead," said Ferdinand.
Suddenly, dark clouds appeared out of nowhere in the sky and rapidly expanded. In just a few seconds, the sun and the nice evening sky were completely concealed, and the world turned gloomy. A gust of wind blew through the park, fluttering the clothes of the three, rustling the leaves on the trees, and carrying dried leaves on the ground away. The sky roared, the trees swayed, and an uneasy atmosphere gradually enveloped the three.
"I'll never play anything with you?!" shouted Lux.
"Life without entertainment isn't life, don't you think? How about we play a little game?"
"No matter what game it is, I won't join you."
Ferdinand chuckled. "You're mistaken, my friend, that isn't a question. Alright! Since both of us are ready, then…"Ferdinand closed his eyes, and upon opening them again, his mysterious dark eyes had transformed into glowing blood-red ones. "Let's play!" said Ferdinand, before large red lightning flashed behind him, and Ferdinand uppercut Lux into the sky.
Arthur watched Lux soaring up at high speed to the dark clouds like a rocket, gasping in shock before looking at Ferdinand and fearfully stepping away from him.
"Who… what are you?" said Arthur with a trembling voice.
"Wait here, son." Ferdinand warmed up his body. "I'll deal with you later… after I kill him." Ferdinand smiled, jumped into the air, and flew with superspeed to Lux.
Arthur couldn't believe what he had been seeing. This wasn't a quarrel between a bodyguard and a principal anymore. This was a battle between two superhumans.
