The swamp was warm and welcoming, with trees cornering it from every angle, from where it's shown the existence of a dense forest. Near the pond, with a small dock leading towards the the lake in front of his log cabin, that was the color dark-blue with a mix of green. The frog wasn't an usual frog, it was close to the human's reflexes, mobility and smarter than sixty five percentage of them, that's how different he was. A leather belt coverd his black, thick, pants, a pair of wooden covered it's feet, letting them get supported by the wooden surface that was rubbed with a special material just to take out the small bits that were coming out of the wood, like small splinters. A long jacket covered it's shoulders and back.
He lived a modest life in the swamp, along with his farm that was sitting behind his home. Tomatoes, cucumber, potato, and many more fruits and vegetables, an really humble life if I may say.
His goal day by day was to live a peaceful life, without troubles. He didn't have any friends, and most of his family members died a few years ago, so he tried to forget everything about his past, the loss of his brothers and parents was something devastating, and he was so depressed by it that the only way to forgot about them, slowly, was to place himself in the swamp, without any connection with his village, or the city, inside which the village was located.
But the thought of only him and himself started a few years ago, all alone. At the beginning it was really hard for him, every single day, wandering what his friends were doing, how they've been, what's new in the city, did something change, but the most important question that he asked himself, haughtily, was something that it has been on his mind hours on hours on hours...
"Did someone ask where I went...?"
One day a frog comes to the swamp, injured, with blood soaking clothes, somehow succeded in knocking a few times on the cabin's doors, which caused signs of worry for the owner of it, which was the swamp frog, and our main sight in this story. Hurrying himself from his couch, by dropping the quiz papers from his left hand, as well as the pen from his right hand and opened the door with an extend of his eyebrows out of shock, when he saw the old frog with a cloak put on himself, trying to talk to our frog.
Trying to help the frog with the cloak, filled with an entire black clothing, from toes to neck, he gave him a scroll that looked old and like it has been through a lot of adventures and stories, along with a weapon that had a white liquid floating inside it, seeing through the glass compartment, connected to the rest of the metal structure.
"Your father, Frogorom Frogaram sent me to give you these items, I wanted to teach you everything that you... (gasps for air) would need, but the enemies of our race got me right in the battlefield, I'm... already gone-... (takes a break to breath some air in, in a slow motion) you are the chosen one, you will win this battle and send these very important items back to it's owner, who is in a town called "Iromen", the underground city, and the only safe zone out there"
One second after, the frog with black clothing, looked in another way in a slow motion, then lost it's soul, right in front of him, which was a moment that he would not forget, the first person losing it's time in front of him.
He stood a moment to keep a minute of silence, then went a few tens of meters near his house, and started digging a deep hole in the ground with his best shovel, right under the most beautiful tree from the swamp, and the biggest one, a multiple time, twisted, holding the place inside the ground for the traveler frog.
The frog knew about Iromen from stories that he read in the newspapers that he got with hundreds, so that boredom would never knock on his cabin's door. It was a place, which was more like a fatory where they were making different items used by the daily lifes of frogs and humans. He never got curious about it, more than it was written in the newspapers, nor ever visited the place, but this was the day, time and date to do it, it was his next step that he had to take, willingly or unwillingly.
Packing his package in a small dirty-yellow backpack, the frog looked back one last time at the grave of the traveler frog, which had white roses placed on the front placement.
Taking himself, the frog walked his way out of the dense forest, already knowing the road out, but what he found at the end of the forest, was something that he wouldn't even dream in his worst nightmares.
A dry and crem color straight and flat land was waiting for him, right outside the forest, which divided the green scenery of the grass and the long height forest, with it's crem color.
"Did the sun took over the world, or why is it so dry here, and where is the rest of the forest?"
Asked the frog, himself, starting to walk in the dry desert, with the hot sun bathing his body in sunlights.
No matter how much he would walk, the frog saw only desert, left, right and in front of him.
Somewhere between two and three hours, walking in the desert, the frog stumbled upon some people that looked dangerous to him, inside a big hole in the ground, looking like an open-cave, with some meat cooking on the fire, but the frog decided to leave them be, and make himself unseen between the large rocks that were the color of red, mixed with brown, which were weirdly common, all around, but maybe it was just the place.
He saw a vending machine that had the picture of a soda placed all over it.
Licking his dry lips and widening his eyebrows, the frog hurried himself towards the vending machine that was sitting in the middle of the sun, and in the middle of the desert.
"Why not?"
He asked himself, pressing the button for a drink.
In a matter of less than a second, a thick, rusty, metal spear came out of the middle of the machine, almost stabbing the frog, but because of his quick reflexes, he dodged it.
Checking it from the sides, he thought to himself that it was a dangerous trap and he was lucky to have escaped it, while sighting annoyedly, leaving the place in a hurry and cursing the machine inside his head.
He stumbled upon a two meter metal sign that was stuck to another metal material, rod. The panel was showing the directions for two places
"Paradise and Ordinary... huh?"
Said the frog, thinking if it meant something.
Quickly taking out his items, thinking that one of them could be of use. Looking through the scroll, he saw the title being named "Ordinary" so he took that path.
Black lines showed the direction all the way, but suddenly, the black line stopped suddenly and he was still in the middle of nowhere.
Tapping around, he accidentally heard something that made the sound of the "metal", when you tap it.
Under him, there was an hidden entrance that was perfectly matched with the desert surroundings, because you couldn't even see it, even if you focus your eyes.
It had a round valve around the top of it, just like the wheel of a car. Turning it a few times, the frog saw a long stairs that would head down deep in the ground. Looking around, but seeing no one, the frog entered the place underground and closed the valve behind him.
Slowly climbing down the stairs, in entire darkness, after tens of seconds, he heard quick thuds on the metal stairs, which gave him a quick scare.
Something struggled his hands, and he tried to fight back, but he fell down off the stairs, while something was put on his entire head, covering some of his senses. After that, he lost sight of time and his surroundings.
It felt like a few moments, but maybe it was after tens of minutes, when he was stuck to a plastic chair, with his hands freshly released and his sight regained after an item was taken off his head.
Narrowing his eyes, freshly awaken from a dream, the frog looked around and slowly realized where he was, it was a small room with many frogs in it, and even a few people that were sitting comfortably by the wall or sitting on the concrete table from the middle of the room.
"Hoken, we will explain everything"
Everyone looked like they were preparing for something big, like an event, suited up in black suits and lots of equipment on the table.
"W-where am I?"
Asked the frog, Hoken
"The general captain of the frog association sent you here to deliver us two important items, as well as your help"
Hoken wante to ask her what she was talking about, but he decided to not say anything instead and sat up, approaching the table with lots of maps open, with marked locations with red markers.
"The red marks are the places where all the important humans are, which did what is outside, a desert from a good place to live"
Said a man from inside the room, quickly pointing at the marked location
"There will be a war, for who will win these lands, and we will be the ones, because nature life has to be brought back no matter what"
Said a frog, looking like he was a few years younger than Hoken.
"And what can I do in all this?"
Asked Hoken
Another figure, with a biker helmet and thick black clothing came in the room, which had no doors, only an open exit.
The wide man took off his helmet, put it on the concrete table and looked at Hoken
"To deliver us the victory... son"
"Dad...?"
Asked Hoken, narrowing his eyes, thinking about all time that he thought he was all alone.
His mind was already made up. Hoken was so happy, yet, he couldn't show it, but his mind and trust was already all put on his father.
