Iara looks up from her hands, searching for Lily's eyes in the darkness "It's just that like... I vividly remember kissing Anastacia, like, as if it did actually happen, I also remember having sex with you and her." She ignores the "damn" that her friend says. "but she would say something, or you would've saw something... like I don't know"
Realizing that Iara is serious, Lily tries to gather her thoughts even if she just woke up. "Hum... she did leave pretty fast and her hair was a little messy just like yours, and you were sweaty, but I just imagined it was from dancing..."
Lying down in bed, she runs a hand through her hair multiple times as if trying to find a perfect position. She really hates this feeling of doubt, usually she is so sure of herself but not being able to discern what is reality in this deep sea of half truths her mind made up makes her feel awful.
"Fuck it! I will just text her something, anything, it's better than to be in doubt like this."
"What?"
She completely ignores the confusion Lily shows and begins working on what to say, without thinking too much she writes a simple message immediately sending it to Anastacia, then showing it to Lily after it.
Iara: I had a weird dream, did something happen yesterday? I would really like to know.
"That's very... that's mysterious isn't it? Why don't you just say you had a wet dream with her because you're a horny little minx?" she shrugs and holds a smile when she sees the way Iara's face turns into a frown as she hears what Lily just said.
"You're disgusting you know that right?" Iara shakes her head as she gets up.
"C'mon you love me! And it's not my fault you wanted to fuck the worst person imaginable" she says while holding both of her hands up, waiting for Iara to help her up.
Iara pulls Lily out of bed, while the latter tries to find her sandals the former says, "But it doesn't feel like a dream, like, my memory is all foggy but I would've forgot if it was all fake..."
Lily smiles while taking the sandals from under the bed, her head pops up from the side of the bed, being able to look directly into the anxious eyes of Iara, when their eyes finally meet Lily sighs and with a defeated tone she says.
"Maybe her pussy is so good you can't forget..." Lily doesn't have time to finish her point because Iara left without hearing the rest of it assuming it was nothing important.
Lily's laugh dies down when she enters the bathroom, leaving Iara alone while drinking her coffee, she realized that she did forget a lot of things that happened yesterday, Lily brought her bag with the school uniform, someone cleaned her house, Anastacia left at some point and she drank a lot of juice, she didn't have those yesterday. While she tries to investigate the mystery of what happened the day before she stops when she remembers the look on Anastacia's face as they danced, how she started blushing when they talked, a small smile creeps on her face, the plan worked, maybe even too much.
"You look weird..." Lily's voice takes Iara out of her trance, while she was thinking about the other night the shorter girl had time to brush her teeth, shower, dry her hair and is currently pouring her a cup of coffee and adding six spoonfuls of sugar.
"You would be weird too if your mind was playing tricks with you..." Iara says following what her friend does with a worried look.
"I would be delighted if I could fuck Anastaci—" she gets interrupted by an exasperated Iara.
"We didn't fuck! I think, I don't remember it, and stop putting so much sugar in your fucking coffee, that ruins the flavor and it's bad for you."
Her friend rolls her eyes, it's not the first time they had this discussion, the first time they slept together Iara complained about how much sugar Lily added to their coffee for ten minutes, out of spite she grabs another spoonful of sugar and adds to her coffee with a smile.
The way to school is spent between fighting each other, Iara trying to remember what happened and Lily making fun of her for being so attracted to Anastacia that she dreams of her, when they finally get inside the gates of school the conversation dies down, for some reason there seems to be a lot of eyes on them, Lily's body language immediately changed, her shoulders are down, she avoids eye contact only following Iara, who in turn makes a point to stare intently at every single person.
"We have biology together right?" Iara asks, only receiving a silent confirmation from Lily, when they get inside the class, the other girl seems to relax as she sits on one of the front row chairs, Lily sighs, resting her head on her hands and turning to Iara.
"I truly believe I would go invisible this year if it wasn't for you."
Before Iara can say anything friend, she sees Anastacia and Josh entering the class and sitting on the middle row, Iara tries to make eye contact with her but the cheerleader doesn't seem to notice her. Iara has been checking her phone ever since she sent the message, checking one last time and seeing that she still hasn't gotten an answer she says.
"I will be right back" Ignoring Lily's questions and pleas for her to stay, Iara gets up and quickly approaches Anastacia and Josh, the conversation of students stopping, all of them expecting another confrontation and waiting for even more gossip.
The only conversation that doesn't stop is between Josh and Anastacia, even Lily has her eyes on Iara, but the two of them seem disinterested in the girl in front of them, deeply invested in the conversation about what this class is going to be about. Iara clears her throat trying to get their attention, Josh looks up with a small smile.
"Do you need something?" he says as the cheerleader grabs her phone not bothering to look at Iara.
"Well, I texted Anastacia, and I would like to talk to her, alone," she moves closer to Anastacia as she continues. "Could you tell Pascal here to leave?"
"Who is Pascal?" Josh says looking at Anastacia, the girl keeps ignoring Iara as she shrugs, making Iara even angrier.
"He's the lil rat in tangled, now could you please leave us alone? Or am I gonna have to say it here?"
Iara watches with a smile as Anastacia's hand touches Josh and he turns to her, with a quick silent conversation they apparently decide that it's okay for him to leave, he gets up and moves to Iara's seat, leaving Lily even more anxious.
"Did you see my text?" Iara doesn't sit down on the chair, choosing to lean against Anastacia's table, forcing the girl to look at her due to the proximity of the two bodies, the cheerleader looks up, their eyes meeting once again.
"Yes. I didn't deem necessary to respond, why would I have to explain myself to a stranger that for some unknown reason dreamt of me?" Anastacia tries her best to not show any emotion and keep her voice as dry as possible, she doesn't care if Iara actually forgot or if this is some kind of play, she just wants to not think about what happened.
The older girl scratches her head, her face showing how confused she is. "We... We didn't do anything right? Cause I remember drinking and th—" Anastacia doesn't let her finish her sentence as she says in a rushed tone.
"And then nothing happened. We danced one last time, I fell down, that's what you're not supposed to tell anyone and then I went home when Lily showed up at your house, is that enough? Are you happy now or do I have to explain the concept of dreams? whatever it is you think happened, it didn't." Iara gets taken back at this sudden aggression, for some reason feeling a little sad at the way Anastacia treated her.
"Well... good! Could've said that in text but... fine I guess" Iara leaves the table with a confirmation that nothing happened but still a little confused, just like the whole classroom that watched the interaction expecting anything but a casual conversation, as she sits on her chair and Josh goes back to his, Iara says in a soft voice.
"Maybe it really was just a dream."
"It is a little sad that we had a great night and you are here thinking about your mistress, I am usually keep to myself all of the lays I manage to get." LIly says, a sly smile on her face as she looks at the disheveled state of her friend.
"You tell me litterraly everytime you talk to a girl, I am not even joking," Iara sshakes her head, a smile showing up on her face as she talks to her friend, Lily is a pretty unserious person, but maybe that is exactly what Iara needs right now.
She doesn't know why she feels this need to talk to Anastacia, to find out what happened or why she disliked the way Anastacia treated her, deciding not to think too much about it, she makes a point not to push any further, maybe she is uncomfortable about something that happened, all of that doesn't matter, because Iara is going to leave the girl alone.
