Chapter 7.

A genius.

Poor Susan was desperate, there were mice everywhere, cockroaches, bugs and any type of vermin she could recognize. However, trying to clean up the mess that was now her home, she decided to open all the water taps so they could drain the water as much as they could on the floor, and with an old broom she began to sweep the water with the dirt that came up easier due to the small flood that she herself had caused in the house, but trying to wash one of the shop windows in the third room, she realized that it was not really a clothing showcase, but when she opened it she found that there were not only seeds to plant some grains and produce something to eat, but there was also a completely sealed jar that reached his waist that when she uncovered it, it was liquid soap, and there were a lot of boxes of canned products like sardines, tuna, hearts of palm, tomatoes, and peaches in sauce and syrup, so that had been like finding the Holy Grail. For her, she had food and soap to survive, so she went for a few small volumes to the kitchen and ran up the wet stairs to the room again and grabbed two volumes of soap and began to spread them throughout the house and doing this, the girl began to wash the walls of the place and the dirt and cobwebs that were there. Obviously,  Susan began to flow with the water that began to leave the house and flow into the earth around them, however she did not want to sleep like that, feeling that everything was dirty and that it was real, so she could not even sit on a piece of furniture. So he poured soap and water on the old furniture in the house and began to scrub them with the broom she had there and ran water over them again to try to get the soap out, but only what she could came out when darkness fell at night. The girl felt a little sleepy, but she wasn't hungry so, taking a risk, she lay down in one of the beds without the sheets to try to sleep and she was able to do so until 5.00 am in the morning when she heard a rooster crow that woke her up and she couldn't go back to sleep; so she took a shower to the closet where the food was and took out a can of tuna, uncovered it and began to eat it little by little, trying not to bite too much and swallow softly so as not to hurt his throat and at once she felt full, she began to explore the surroundings of the house and found that there was a very old mountain pruning machine in the back of the house, where there were also some wooden chairs that looked well worn and then, venturing, she first searched the Internet how these types of machines worked and when she saw how they were handled, the girl took a risk, connected the machine and began to prune the forest around her. Immediately because she realized because the tail of a snake fell on her shoulder in half to that the mountain was surely completely invaded by vipers, so she herself thought that she should be careful not to be bitten by a snake because she did not know if any could be poisonous, and taking the risk, she continued and began to remove the mountain from the entire back and sides of the house; then, that place seemed to start to look like something decent and taking a break at 2 in the afternoon, the girl breathed a little and knowing that she had not had water practically in two days, she risked turning on the water, but before vaccinating her hands, she thought that could get sick from the wound in his throat and for that, she preferred to go to dinner again with a pot of peach uncovered. If she had a little syrup, it would not quench his thirst, but at least, it would quench his stomach a little. And then, Susan continued pruning the front part of the house and the mountain was so high, that she couldn't even see it, but there she was throwing a truckload of balls at that new place, until she finally managed to do it around 6.00 pm in the afternoon. and giving herself some time to rest a little, she lay down on the bed to realize that the cockroaches had climbed onto the mattress, so she left the house again and with a small metal rake, she began to rake everything that she had cut into the mattress. the afternoon until she left a mountain in Monte and there a little further from the house because she ventured and went for some of the matches that she had seen in one of the drawers and set fire to that mountain and returning to the house, she began to check all the kitchen drawers even taking out all the pots that were full of cockroach, dead mice and spider webs with she was scratched in there my brother got brave he went out to the back of the house he saw the mountain that was burning and He turned on a small water faucet that was next to one of the wooden chairs that he had seen earlier and let the pots of water fill with some liquid soap that he had on hand and waited for all the dirt to come out first. that they had and  those pots inside with the water and then he dared to connect one of the cylinders perfectly and entrusting himself to God and all the angels who could have prayed six our fathers, he turned on the stove and it worked so he started to boil those pots as much as he could Going in at midnight he completely turned off the pots and just got rid of the pots that had dead mice in them. He was left with only four that looked healthier and a little more hygienic after scrubbing them well inside and out, leaving them filling a of the pots of water completely alone and set it to cook until it boiled while she began to wash the cabinets with soap and water until any dirt and dead animals that she could see there came out and that black water that came out of those cabinets because the He dragged the broom to the side exit of the property and then made several buckets of clean water in both the cabinets and the kitchen to finish dragging anything that had been left on the floor, then he turned off the water and covered it with a shirt of hers because there were no pot lids, and already very tired, the poor girl did not give up and turned the refrigerator over to check that the motor was working well as her father had taught her when she was 15 years old and she began to clean What she had to clean was the inside, fix certain parts and make the proper cable connections and after throwing six blessings at her, she connected the refrigerator. The plug and this refrigerator turned on, the girl was so happy that she stopped for a moment and stood to dance alone in the kitchen, mentally tell herself, yes, I can do it, I'm a genius.
