“So, did you complete all 3 steps?” Asher asked as I entered the house. “Step 3 is still incomplete...” I replied, he rolled his eyes. “Jay! Did you even try?” He asked jokingly. “Believe me, I wanted to, I just couldn’t.” He smirked. “You wanted to? Dude you're actually falling for him!” He replied, a smile filling his face. “Fuck off, says the dude who has only had one love and it was an anime character!” I playfully shoved him while laughing. “Can I stay here tonight? I'd rather not see devon for a while.” I asked, he nodded. “I’ll be back.” I said, I walked out the door, going home. I entered the door, walking towards my bedroom. Devons room was open, empty. I walked into my bedroom, I grabbed some clothes, I left with a small bag of clothes. “I’m back.” I said as I entered the house again. “Wanna play on the Xbox?” Asher asked, sitting on the couch, staring at the game selection page. I sat down beside him. He opened “Human fall flat.” We began playing, trying to see who could beat the game faster. I didn’t think we were being loud. “Can you quiet the fuck down?” Lily asked, walking down the stairs. Very obviously tired. “Oh, you got depresso here. Carry on, just turn down the volume.” She said, walking up the stairs. Asher shut off the Xbox. “We should go to bed, it 3.” He walked over and turned off the lights. “Try not to have any wet dreams. Cause I swear if I wake up and you had to change your pants because you came yourself, ill actually flip out on you.” He said, laying down on the couch. “You’re a dick.” “I know.” We ended up falling asleep. I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing. It said “Unknown number” I just hit answer. “Hello, who am I speaking to?” “Hey Jay.” A smile filled my face. Asher slowly woke up, listening. “So um, would you like to go on a date- I mean hang out with me today?” I could hear the embarrassment. I knew Asher would hear me. “I’d love to go on a date with you, where and when?” I smiled, turning my back to a shocked Asher. “The- um, park on main street at- um- lunch.” “Sounds like a plan, see you then, bye Brandon.” I smiled as he hung up. “A DATE?” “Shut up. No questions, until after.” I said as I stood up. “One question, when is this date?” I looked at the clock. “In around 2 hours.” I opened my bag of clothes, grabbing the nicest clothes I had. I walked to the washroom to change. I came back to the living room to see Asher loading up human fall flat. “Wanna finish the game?” He asked as I sat down beside him. We played for an hour and a half. I looked at the clock. “So, I gotta get going. See you after.” I said as I rushed out the door. I ran to the park, it was 12:02 when I got there. I saw Brandon sitting on a bench. “Hey, sorry I was kinda late.” I said sitting down beside him.
