As Tone went in to eat, he felt an immense aura of Tact Desicion behind him. So much so that he couldn’t even move an inch
Tone turned around and there he was, it was High Card. Tone jumped and went for a kick to his face but High Card blocked him and threw him away.
“I’m not here to fight,” High Card said.
“DON’T MESS WITH ME!” Tone screamed.
“I’m here…to make a deal, with you,” High Card smiled, looking towards Tone.
This was the vice-president of the whole of Vzaltori, it was Tone who should not have messed with him. His power was on a whole another level than Tone’s, Tone didn’t stand a chance.
“A deal with…me?” Tone asked.
“Yes, a deal with you,” High Card replied, a tone of arrogance in his voice but that was a given, he was the vice-president of Vzaltori so that arrogance was definite.
…
“How do you know about me?” Tone asked as soon as they sat down to eat. Uryu was leaning against a nearby wall with his arms crossed. He was listening in on this conversation very keenly. After all, it was High Card who Tone was talking with.
“I’ve…heard,” High Card replied.
“Who told you?” Tone asked.
“When Uta and Hoax joined your gang,” High Card replied, a sense of assurance that Tone trusts him enough. “It was Chaos Destiny who informed me,”
“So you are here to fight me.” Tone shouted.
“Relax, no. Although it was Chaos Destiny’s orders to get you to him, I have other plans,” High Card smiled, an evil one it was.
…
“HE’S IN A COMA!?” Uta screamed, Hoax didn’t looked surprised, he had the look which told Uta that he had been expecting this. After all, it was Hoax who had seen how beat up Relin got.
“Yes, he’s in a coma.” The doctor said, a look of dissatisfaction with the response. This was an expected response but it really was disheartening to see people cry.
“Ma’am, if you will: I need you to leave the room for now. We need to tend to the patient,” The doctor said.
“Ok,” Uta muttered, tears falling down her eyes. Even though they haven’t been together for long, this group was what Uta treasured the most, she treasured it more than her own life. Uta walked out and sat down at a nearby bench. The door to the room was to her left. She wiped her tears and closed her eyes. Uta thought through all things that bought her joy, she wanted to protect them and for that…she had to get stronger, a lot stronger on her own.
…
Tone’s discussion was over. He had made a deal with High Card. The deal: Tone had to take down Chaos Destiny and High Card would support him in all ways possible. If he weren’t to accept, High Card would annihilate Tone’s group, The Scatter Remains. The reason: Even Tone couldn’t get that out of him. Tone had to accept this deal, he didn’t want his friends to die.
Tone had to train and work harder if he wanted to take down Chaos Destiny. Uryu came in at the perfect moment.
“If you want, I could teach you to enhance your physical and tactual prowess but, it would take longer. In the end, I could also help you find your strongest form, It’ll be gruelling though,” Uryu smiled.
Tone went quiet.
“I’ll give you time to think,” Uryu said, turning around and started walking back to the house.
“How long?” Tone asked.
Uryu smiled. “Three years,”
…
Hoax had been discharged. It was 4th day since Uta’s fight with those 4 people. The ones who got Relin into this state. As soon as Hoax got back to the house, he wanted to train but Uta advised otherwise. She told him to take rest for 3 more days and then get back to training. Although at first, Hoax protested but, he surrendered in the end. Uta was training on her own till then.
And so, Uta’s solo training began and so did, Tone’s. Sure Tone’s was more gruelling but Uta wanted this more than Tone did. Tone did not what was going on here so if Hoax and Relin couldn’t do anything for now, It was Uta who had to take on the challenges. She was more than ready for it, even death didn’t scare her anymore. She was ready to do anything for her friends, anything. She didn’t like but she had to.
Hoax had things to say against her training but she shot back at everything Hoax had to say. Finally, Hoax agreed. He still didn’t want his sister to get hurt but he really wanted her to get strong so that one day, maybe, she’ll lead a group of her own. After all, they were eventually going to fight his father and his henchmen.
…
“fine,” Tone said.
Uryu’s smile expanded. He was ecstatic. Maybe, finally, he had a worthy successor to his legacy. Uryu was Artist Revolutionary’s great-grandfather who had attained immortality. He still looked the age he was when he attained immortality, 26. He kiled both of his competitors and attained the level of president of Vzaltori before retiring. His son gave up the throne and became vice-president instead and that’s how it has been for the remaining years. This enraged Uryu and he left the Tact 1 neighbourhood and left to live at the Tact 7 neighbourhood. That was 120 years ago. Tone could may as well, get the throne back if he continued at the pace he was learning at, he could even surpass Chaos Destiny. That is, if he were continue at this pace. Tone’s training was designed to break the pace he was learning at as if his training already wasn’t gruelling enough. For the three years of his training, he would learning at double the pace of his present training but he should be continuing consistently after that. If he didn’t, there was no way for him to surpass Chaos Destiny.
“Your training begins tomorrow, be sure to get plenty of sleep and rest cause you’re gonna need it, Tone,” Uryu said as he went in to sleep. Tone sat out there, thinking. If High Card was serious about this deal, Tone had to be serious too. High Card was going to support Tone through all of his struggles but if he didn’t succeed in this mission, Tone’s friends would be annihalted. Tone didn’t like the sound of that but it was not like he had any other choice. He had been driven into a corner and his only goal now was to get out of it.
