Within the vast expanse of the universe’s darkness lies a fiery, desolate wasteland. In that place, you will find a kingdom where the vilest creatures of all the realms call home. “Damn it all to hell! Where is that bastard child!?” Storming through the halls of the kingdom’s castle is the eldest Prince. “Are you referring to the halfling? He is currently in his room.” Making her exit through the meeting room door is the Princess of the castle. “Also, try to be quieter. This hallway is very prone to echoes.” “Uh, duh, of course I knew that.” In a display of annoyance, the Princess rolls her eyes.
Under the castle is a vast cavern. Once you reach the end of the cavern, you’ll find an open cave. This is where the youngest Prince calls home. “Guess what- uhhh! Why are you in your secondary form?! Never mind! Guess what mistake you’re coming with us!”
The youngest Prince sighs and asks, “Where are we going and why do I have to come?” “Well, you’re going to hell!” The eldest Prince exclaims, laughing uncontrollably. The Princess quickly shuts him up by striking him on the head. “Luci, shut the hell up! We’re going to be late!”
“Don’t you know I’m already in hell!? Besides, I don’t want to go.”
“Regardless of what you want, we have a hunting trip planned and mom specifically mentioned that we must bring you. She’s tired of you being in here,” says the Princess.
“I said I’m not going.”
“Well, too damn bad! We don’t want to bring you, but Mom would kill us! And I don’t know about you, but I don’t enjoy dying!” The eldest Prince shouts and grips his brother’s horns. “I don’t care! Stay away from me and keep your hands off my horns! Let go of me!” “Calm down, don’t make me break the other one!” In an effort to break free, the youngest Prince kicks and screams, but is still forcefully dragged away by his brother.
Let’s start from the very beginning. The beginning of my journey started off well with my birth. Ever since then, I have experienced treatment from people that is worse than dirt. By my brother, sister, mother, and the entire kingdom, although they could not express it. Why you ask, well I’m getting ahead of things. Let me backtrack a bit.
Hi! I’m Jasper the demon. Actually, not really. I am a cambion half demon, half human. Unfortunately, my family doesn’t see it that way, despite me being a demon. Demons aren’t the most pleasant to begin, and being labeled a cambion has caused me to lose respect from everyone.
It’s very frustrating. Being labeled a lesser demon is tough in itself, but being the youngest Prince of the Scarlet Sands Kingdom as a cambion is even worse. Now you may wonder what led me to end up in the Evergreen. Well, I will get to that now. My story starts when my sister, Pandora, my brother, Lucifer, and I went hunting for souls.
“Wait, this is not the human realm?” “Duh it’s not. Humans have been getting weak. We need something stronger to feed our kin,” says Lucifer. “Now, are you done with the dumb questions?”
With an enormous sigh, Jasper nods in agreement. “Then let’s go all ready,” says Pandora. As Jasper steps through the portal, he feels a cool sensation that causes a pleasant shiver that runs from the tip of his horns down to the spines on his back. “Huh? This feels good?” he whispers to himself.
“Hey, the hell is wrong with you?” Jasper ignores Lucifer. He is discovering a new realm filled with unfamiliar sensation. This was the first time in his life that he had felt so completely at home.
“Hey! Wake up, stupid!”
“Huh?”
“Welcome back, yeah. While you were off fantasizing about your homophile desires, Pandora and I took care of everything. Really, what are you even good for? Come on, before we leave you!” says Lucifer. “Hold on, I just need a moment.” “Fine, just hurry, gods, you’re so weird.”
Since that day, Jasper has been continuously exploring the Evergreen for three years. The breathtaking beauty of nature and the animals so different from his own left him in awe. The sensation of the cool breeze ruffling his hair was something he cherished, a sensation he had never experienced back home. Leaving was something he never wanted to do.
One day, during his exploration, he stumbled upon a building in the forest. It was big and grand, with creatures surrounding the exterior. “Is this a school?” Jasper hides among the bushes to investigate. “This is nothing like the schools I’m used to; it’s amazing. Shoot, there’s someone coming.”
Two creatures pass by, right in front of the bushes. Jasper leans against the bush, secretly listening to their conversation. “Trust me, you’ll be alright. There is nothing to be nervous about.” “I know.” With a slight lean, Jasper nudges the bush and gives it a shake. “Huh, did you catch that bush moving, or was it just my imagination?” “No, they’re coming this way.” Before Jasper can get away, the two creatures separate the bush with their hands. Discovering the startled demon and his secret hiding place. Confused, the two creatures give each other a puzzled look.
“Um… hello.”
