“Welcome creatures big and small to The Oakwood Academy, the place where we educate our children in the bittersweetness of their past, the variousness of their present and the possibilities for their future. I’m Mr. linden your lovely counselor. And now I would like you all to take a sit so I can pass the spotlight to our chairwoman and owner.”
“Thank you, Linden. Hello everyone, my name is Ms. Ravena and I’m your lovely chairwoman and this is Onnie, the owner of this academy. We would just like to say we are so delighted to see that everyone has arrived here unharmed.” says Ravena. “We try our hardest to make this Academy a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for all creatures. Now, let’s get to what’s important. Onnie now will hand out a sheet with everything you need to know.”
“That’s your cue, Onnie.” June says, nudging Onnie’s shoulder.
Onnie pulls out her broom, flying up above everyone. She closes her eyes and visualizes a powerful wind. In her mind, it grows and blows fiercely until it slowly dies down into a draft. “That should do it.” Onnie takes a deep breath in and chants. “From my lips, I blow and twist. What will leave a ferocious breeze? In the end, it will dim. Then the breeze will be at my whim.” Onnie tosses the papers in the air, lifts her left palm up to her mouth and blows. A whirlwind then shots from her fist and gathers up the papers, passing them out to all the children.
The children cheer, holler, and stare in wonderment. “Yes, yes, that is just one use of magic speaking of which. There are many classes you can choose, for example, the art of magic, defense class, and everything plants. Now, would you all like a demonstration?” The crowd of children shout “yes,” in unison.
“We were hoping you’d say that,” says Ravena.
“I give Ms. June Celia and Beatrice and Mr. Alphonse and Luca the spotlight.” “Thank you, Ravana, Zephyr, my plant please.” Zephyr hands June a potted plant, June then places it in the middle of the stage.
“The potions sister.”
“Of course, sister.”
Beatrice pours a mixture of two potions onto the plant. “Now we wait,” says June. “As we do, Beatrice, can you help me with this? And Luca, Alphonse, stand right here for me,” says Celia. Beatrice and Celia go to the other side of the stage and pull out their wands. Together, they open a portal that releases a bear-like creature. “Hi Bobo, be a good boy and sit. How’s it going over there June.” “Yes, it’s alive! Welcome my beauty, I’m your new master and as a thank you for bringing you into this world. All I ask is for you… to execute them.” The crowd gasps. “Do the same Bobo.”
“Now, why did we agree to this?” asks Alphonse.
“They promised me a cookie cake,” says Luca.
“Lucky, well, are you ready to do this, brother?”
“Let’s do our own thing, but yes.”
The brothers put their backs together as Luca creates a barrier around them. The boys open up their blouses, plunging their fists into their chests. Alphonse’s hands come out with gauntlets on them while Luca pulls out a sword. Luca buckles his knees. He slashes his sword at the monster with no effect. The plant monster then shots its vines at Luca, sweeping him off his feet. “Hey, June, what plant is stronger than a sword!?” “My plants Luca.” June snickers.
Alphonse beats his chest and shouts, “come at me Bobo!” He leaps and tackles the bear to the ground. He Straddles the bear, he attempts to subdue him but ends up being flung off into Luca’s back, knocking him over again. “Sorry Lulu.” Alphonse wipers. “Your good. Hey, I think we need to do the thing.” says Luca. “The thing, alright.” The brothers help each other up and face each other. Alphonse’s gauntlets crumble into rocks. He takes flint and strikes the sword with it, setting it on fire. He hands Luca the sword, then picks up the pile of rocks. His palms then set ablaze, melting the rocks, molding them into a handheld cannon.
Luca takes the cannon and loads the sword into it. “Hey, support me, Alphonse.” Alphonse gets behind Luca and holds his hips as Luca aims at the plant monster. “One, two, three fire!” shouts Alphonse. As Luca shoots, Alphonse makes a barrier behind the monster, shedding the children. As the blade leaves the cannon, it sets ablaze and punctures the monster in the heart, slaying it on impact.
The brothers turn around to face the bear. “Wow, I that’s enough fun, don’t you think Bobo.” Celia says. “Alright, go home Bobo.” The bear retreats back into the portal it came from.
“Well, wasn’t that… something? Ha, I hope you all enjoyed the show.” says Ravena. “Let’s move on, Onnie, Zephyr if you will.” Onnie and Zephyr bring out a pair of manikins holding up a map. “Now on to something people hate and love.” Ravena explains the workings of the school, dorms, roommates, dress code and more. Eventually, her long speech ends.
“If there are any problems, please tell us.”
“Okay, um.” Ravena shuffles through her notes.
“That seems like all, alright you all may come in.” As the doors open and the students storm the halls.
The staff settles everyone down to start the tour. Later that day, when everyone heads home, the professors meet in the office to discuss the day.
“Does anyone have something to say?” says Ravena. “No, I think that went pretty well.” Linden stumbles and drops the stack of papers he was holding.
“Oops.”
“Yeah, it did! Look at all these papers!” says Nana. “Speaking of which, here’s your cookie cake Luca.” “Thanks Kahlo.” Alphonse rolls his eyes in the corner. “So, no one is going to talk about the mayhem that went on today! See Linden, this is why children shouldn’t be in charge of important events!” “Hey, don’t look at me I just said put on a show I didn’t think they would do that.” says Onnie. “Yeah, mom don’t blame Onnie for this. Besides, I had so much fun today!” says Zephyr.
“Ravena everything turned out fine.” says Alphonse. “No one got hurt and now we have tones of students because of it, so just chill out.” “Fine, since no one takes this seriously. I’ll just go.” Ravena storms out, slamming the door behind her.
“Uh, I’ll go talk to her. Everyone, please finish sorting.” “Hm, oh hey, Vivian’s going to have a lot of kids to watch over this year.”
“What are you sure?”
"Yep," says Nana. "Look at all the swimmers we have." say Oceane. "You have your work cut out for you, huh, Oceane." says June. "Seems like it." Everyone laughs and continues sorting paper till the sun gies down.
