She grabs a magazine on her coffee table, and flips through, and sees an ad from The Painted Glass Nightclub.

SAMMY: "Local club seeking a pole dancer/entertainer" ..... Well, nothing else has worked, lets try this bottom of the barrel option.

She calls the number and talks to Red, who asks her to come in the following day to talk.

THE NEXT DAY:

She walks in, her hair done up nicely, red lipstick, and 9 inch heels, making her significantly taller than she actually is.

RED: Nice to meet you. So, what makes you want to work here?

SAMMY: Need something to pay the bills, last resort!

RED: You're okay with what this entails ....

SAMMY: I took self defence, if anyone tries anything, you won't need security.

RED: There is a local gang that comes here often, please don't let them get to you. Can you start tonight?

Sammy agrees and shakes his hand, and is told to come back for 8pm.

LATER THAT NIGHT, 8PM:

As a nasty storm begins to take shape in the city, Sammy readies herself.

Sammy is welcomed to the Painted Glass team. She is given a locker, and her outfit. She gets changed and awaits her call to head out.

Sammy eventually gets her call, and walks out on stage, and despite it being her first time, she seems like a natural. Getting all the cheers and adulation, more so than others that have been there for years. Very quickly her outfit comes off, revealing her naked body as she dances around on stage, one hand gripping the pole tightly.

The storm outside gets continuously worse, lightning constantly lighting up the sky, loud bangs of thunder can be barely heard over the loud music in the nightclub. Suddenly the sound of shattering glass, and as everyone looks up, they see a roof window breaking into thousands of pieces, and the lightning strike hits the pole, the very pole Sammy has her hand tightly gripped around.

Then the smell of burning flesh, her body falls to the stage floor and shakes violently, she is barely conscious. The lights go up in the nightclub as she is taken to the back.

RED: We will cover all costs, get her to a hospital. Make sure she is okay.
