Upon receiving a warm welcome from Kwitwaka and Grant, the moment was abruptly disrupted. A Guard noticed the disturbance and proceeded cautiously towards the scene, making no effort to hide his approach. However, upon reaching Grant and Kwitwaka, the corrupt siren raised his shield to cover his face and questioned, "Identify yourselves, state your purpose here." With his trident poised for an attack, he awaited their response.
Kwitwaka growled at the guard and positioned herself in front of Grant protectively. Grant, however, soothed Kwitwaka by patting her gently and reassuring her that everything was fine. "Woah, it's okay, Nightclaw, he is just doing his job," Grant said calmly. Kwitwaka glanced back at Grant, growling softly. Grant signaled her to stay quiet and put his hands up in a surrendering gesture. He apologized to the corrupt siren for the commotion, explaining that they had lost their way and were simply visiting his beautiful home. Grant slowly approached the siren, staying hidden from the guard's view. The siren, puzzled, asked how they had managed to reach the forbidden place. Grant, maintaining his composure, mentioned Aquatina and claimed she had given them permission to be there.
Grant's expression turned grim as he listened to the corrupt siren's insincere words, "The princess is back? You know where she is at, we have been worried sick about her?" Playing along, he responded, "Why are you guys so worried about her?" The guard's voice showed a hint of irritation as he explained, "She is the princess of our city." Without hesitation, Grant swiftly disarmed the guard and subdued him with a sleeper hold. Despite the siren's struggles, Grant calmly stated, "I don't want to hurt you... Just sleep for a while and let this happen." Slowly, the guard's eyes drooped and his body went limp.
Grant moved the guard out of sight and covered him with a blanket, concealing him from the other guards. He then turned to Kwitwaka and inquired, "Do you think you can be stealthy with me, Nightclaw? We need to figure out what's going on." Kwitwaka growled softly, causing Grant to smirk and pet her. Together, they stealthily maneuvered through the area, using objects and crowds for cover. Grant eavesdropped on the guards discussing plans to receive weapons and armor from an unknown source to strengthen their efforts against the princess.
Grant and Kwitwaka stealthily navigated through the bustling crowds, ensuring they remained unseen and concealed from the curious onlookers scanning the area. They gathered valuable information about the shipment locations and their destinations. Grant managed to catch a glimpse of a document detailing the specific places the shipments were headed. With a sense of urgency, Grant knew he had to intercept those orders and disrupt the shipments to assist Aquatina in reclaiming her kingdom.
Grant and Kwitwaka made their way back to the siren family's residence, the same place where Grant had initially encountered them. Initially, the siren family was apprehensive of Kwitwaka, the panther, but their fears dissipated once she began interacting with the children. The teenage siren girl, who had assisted Grant previously, inquired, "Is this the friend you were searching for?" Grant responded with a nod and a soft smile, then expressed his concern, "Are all of you doing alright? It appears that the city is facing significant challenges."
The father appeared anxious and worried as he replied, "Yes, we're okay. I'm not sure what you mean?" Grant gazes into the father's eyes while jotting something down on a seaweed parchment, which reads, "They are eavesdropping." Grant nods and writes, "What's happening?" but verbally says, "Oh, I see. It must be my mistake then," and forces a laugh.
The siren father jotted down, "A Revolution." he then inquired, "How was your trip?" Grant wrote, "I'm here to assist if necessary." and replied, "It's alright, not as lively as expected." The father wrote, "Really?" and remarked, "Yeah, sorry we're a dull bunch." with a chuckle. Grant wrote, "My friends and I are here with your princess. I can gather intel for her." Grant then quipped, "Don't worry, you're not that boring." as he laughed. The father wrote on the paper, "Please help her, we despise this existence." he chuckled along with Grant and said, "Thanks, that means a lot." Grant nodded, but added, "I'll take care of everything tonight." as they continued to banter and enjoy their tea.
Grant and Kwitwaka spent the night at the siren family home, waiting until darkness fell once more. As the sea grew darker, signaling the approach of nighttime, Grant and Kwitwaka quietly left the house to carry out their plan of sabotaging the shipments and retrieving the documents. They headed directly to the location where the shipments were rumored to be. Upon arrival, they discovered that it wasn't just weapons and armor being transported.
Grant was fortunate to find barrels of gunpowder amidst the chaos of the corrupted area, where a gaping Void portal loomed, swirling with darkness and corruption. The sirens, aided by a demon, were being overtaken by the corruption as they readied themselves for the impending battle against Aquatina. The surroundings were cluttered with crates, supplies, barrels, and stagnites crafted from corrupt crystals, all while the portal ominously continued to swirl open.
Grant cautiously moved about, collecting intel from the vicinity and analyzing his environment to efficiently complete the task at hand. As he surveyed the area, he strategically positioned barrels of gunpowder near the crates and provisions intended for the corrupt army. Additionally, he strategically placed barrels of gunpowder near the portal, aiming to seal it shut. Creating a trail of gunpowder connecting all the barrels, he guided it to a secure location before igniting it.
The flames ignited rapidly, creating a trail of sparks that slithered through the vicinity, crackling like a firework. In a matter of moments, they reached a barrel, triggering a deafening explosion that set off a series of blasts. The entire area was engulfed in flames, plunging into disarray. The guards scrambled to extinguish the fire with their water manipulation, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the town. Grant watched in concern as the fiery reflection danced in his eyes, muttering in disbelief, "Oops, I may have gone too far."
