Aiko paced in his study, unable to keep his thoughts in check. He had no choice, in a matter of days his former life had been stripped away from him. Yet, what he hardly thought of, was how difficult this was for Momo Nano, formerly Momo Mali. Her life too had been stripped from her, but far more dramatically.
She had to leave her home with a single suitcase in hand to live with a strange man, to face a life of being an heir’s wife.
Aiko thought perhaps to go drinking later with his closest friend, Kalani Kiola. It would surely clear his head.
While Aiko stood pacing in his study, Momo stood in the hallway next to the large dining hall, noticing how dusty everything was.
What do I do?
The house was a mess, besides the dining hall, which seemed quite clean. She walked carefully, leaving her bag near the door. At the end of the hall, she turned seeing another much larger hall on the left side, with six rooms on one side, and five double-doors on the other leading into the inner court yard. It was a beautiful home.
Momo admired it, even if it was a bit dusty. She recognized the kitchen as the first room, and walked in, hoping that she could make herself useful to Aiko.
She remembered her and Ilo’s childhood together. She had first meet the Nano’s, well, she was so young she didn’t remember. Her father was a close friend of Kanaka, thus she grew up with Kanaka’s children.
